Landlords HATE him.
Landlords HATE him
Not having running water is based
Bro been pissing right by his chair?
I'm a landlord and I'm indifferent to him
Karen's call the cops on him. He goes on Reddit and whines
Is vanlife still a thing? I thought it went away when the pandemic ended.
only manlets can lay down sideways in there. vanlife is a manlet pursuit
Where do you shid? I can't go on a public toilet.
Are they happy to continue to let people camp like this for free or do they try and bring in laws/taxes to discourage it. I feel like more and more people will start to become nomadic again once we become priced out of a normal life.
*m'lord*
I lived in a little camper that fit on the back of my truck, survived winter thanks to two 980 Ti's running in SLI as my heatsource
Honestly kind of sucked but I did save a lot of money quickly
Is vanlife still a thing?
Or overlanding. Retarded car companies are now starting to make overland vehicles when the fad ended.
landlords give no fucks cause zogs just keep importing third world demons and paying these landlords ridiculous rents to house them.... with your tax monies
I like you, anon. You can feed me my grapes.
he doesn't know about water containers
I have good news for you!
living in a converted double decker and just fucking off to wherever you want must be nice
There's camping grounds you can park in but I think most of these people just park in Walmart lots.
It's a weird gray area because you still need money but you devote hours a day to figuring shit out you wouldn't if you had a house or apartment. Maybe that's why almost no one does it.
The jew loves him.
my pattaya condo was less than $10k. fees and taxes are less than $200/year.
People who live in their vehicles are just homeless.
sprinter 3500 medium roof long wheelbase
Those things are fucking expensive. That is 100% trust fund baby or horrifically in debt.
The ones that do vanlife cheap use minivans or american vans.
survived winter thanks to two 980 Ti's running in SLI as my heatsource
Having a gayming computer is arguably more efficient than a heater. You have compute capability rather than converting energy to heat directly.
Living as a Nomad is a way to a miserable life, anon.
I did it for a year and they still didn't classify me as homeless. Even at the shelter.
That's throwup
The only problem with (((vanlife))) as far as I can see, is the fact that you can't have a nice car. And that every time you park up somewhere and might want to go into town, you can either drive in with your whole home, or go in like some cuck without a car. If you (((uber))), your relative savings are trashed, same if you park on (((camp grounds.)))
If one wants to do it and really save money, one has to go full degen.
They are not running they are contained, regardless you can drive to running water
I used to drive one of these faggot ass vans before and they're really damn big. And fucking expensive. With low low miles, they're about $30k. With zero upgrades at all. Fully kitted out like that? You're talking close to $100k
Boomers around here would just buy a car to flat-tow with. It used to be smart fortwo as the spare car but these days the US doesn't really have small cars anymore.
Everyone hates him because he throws his piss, shit and trash all over public lands or land that belongs to someone else.
there's a washing machine
isn't that the opposite
current van lifer here.
I did start during covid because I got to be full time remote.
I'm still living the life though.
I recommend newbs start out in an RV rather than a van.
figuring shit out you wouldn't if you had a house or apartment.
expand on it, can't figure something out other than parking spot
he doesn't know about water pumps
I swear most people in these threads have no idea how RVs are built or the features they offer.
t. has built 5+ conversions
a double Decker cannot just go wherever though.
you have way way way more freedom in a van.
busses are limited to major highways and large RV parks. They're still basically paying rent. Plus insane gas prices.
a van can go wherever.
Yeah my dad wants a class C RV. He's got his CDL A, doubles, triples, hazmat, all that fancy shit. Just wants a small little 25-30 ft RV to live in. Wish I had the dough to buy him one.
live in a pod. shit in a bucket.
Lol
Wherever you want to
Shitting in a bucket with some sawdust in it
They have a litter box like a cat.
Still not a bad deal. Put $2k of materials into it, keep up on the oil/fluid changes, don't run it into the ground, and sell it 3 years later for $25k and you're still living really cheap.
People don't realize how expensive it is until they try it. Those vans retain value surprisingly well and by the time it's cheap, it's completely used up and should be scrapped.
It can be done cheaply though, but there will be absolutely no luxury to be had. It literally pares down to:
safely go unconscious, privacy optional
safe food and water, cooking optional
sanitary enough for hygiene, pressurized pump sprayer
No one actually wants to do *only* that, it's not very comfortable.
can you even stand up all the way?
When you're not using it just mine some coins instead of having an electric heater doing nothing but making heat.
no one is paying 60 grand for your beta mobile, OP.
water, power, internet access, address for mail, cable if you want that
why would that matter? it is a fucking van. you arent going for a fucking walk in there
Would it really be only 2 grand though?
Exactly. Professionally converted class Bs are very expensive. You're looking at $30k van price, $10k in materials, and $20k markup.
Either deal with having a "no conversion" van with camping gear or do it yourself. It isn't that hard. Just hire professionals to do details like plumbing and electrical.
It's more like 5k of materials, especially including things like the electrical system. Still very affordable if you do it yourself. My conversion van has been under $20k, bough used, and made 2 whole conversions.
Yes
In America yes. In Europe, fuck no
License for everything. No collective ideals/trust/whatever. I, for examle, have to go get a road worthyness inspection done for a car that I am flipping. So, I need temp. Stickers to drive on road.
due to repeated ordering of stickers, you can no longer ude the online solution to order stickers. The feature has been disabeled due to concerns of misuse.
you may still pickup stickers at dmv, but be prepared to provide proof of usecase
taxes exe
drive to inspection anyways, no plates
I cant insect your car anon, since inspection requires a test drive, and I cannot legally drive an unplated vehicle.
Fucking kill me
America is desgusting, but something of the founding fathers see to remain. You don't know what you got till you loose it burgers....
Neither is sleeping in the driver seat of a car, but you gotta do what you gotta do sometimes.
Go camping in a van or even a tent for a week and see how long you can survive.

Pretty sure Op is a $printer
Boxchads wya? I have so much space and water tanks *yawn* have fun at work I'm gonna stretch out and take a nap.
Yeah so basically what I said, hours a day of shit you have to worry about, so you don't have to pay rent. If you literally don't have money for rent, I guess it's worth it.
mail receiving service ($10/mo). They even scan it for you.
Fucking who, I paid $25/mo for a ups store mailbox.

Probably a week
So do parents of small children.
If you wanted to go really simple maybe $3k is more realistic if you were willing to DIY your furniture framing and get cheap Temu tier stuff. You can get one of those large backup batteries for a reasonable price. Get a used tablet as your entertainment/shit posting station, shop European style and use a simple cooler with ice for leftovers, etc..
I just looked on Marketplace and I found a used 2011 work van for $11,000, only 50k miles. From what I hear you shouldn't skimp on condensation control and insulation.
You're looking at $15-20k for one with around 100k miles so stfu. There's a whole market of people building them out then charging exorbitant prices, you always build your own.
If you have a conceal carry permit you can carry a loaded gun in your car. Just had a thought, why don't more people use Interstate rest stops to park overnight? It's literally what they're there for.
I slept in my Camry for a whole year. It wasn't too bad.
Good luck getting laid in that, no std free chick will ever get in to bone

Based.
People think its hard and uncomfortable to live in a van. You don't need a flushing toilet. You don't need a 4 burner stove + oven. You don't need to pay for 1000sqft of space that you only use for 1/4 of your waking hours.
There are lots of car dwellers who say they haven't been happier. Minimalism is very rewarding.
people with conceal carry permits rolling up and robbing you
I wish digital nomads and citizens of the world alike a violent death
It's very discouraged if you're near neighborhoods. We have a saying here called NIMBY (not in my backyard) and it's basically boomers will call the cops on you for doing anything out of the ordinary in the places they live or like to go. I know for a fact beach cities in California are arresting all homeless people, vanlifers included. There was a supreme court case that ruled it's constitutional to arrest people for sleeping in public so that's how they justify it. Caught sleeping in public or "camping" in public which they just make up elements to articulate, and it's an arrest. Newport Beach PD arrested like 80 in one day on the first day they were allowed to, my cop friend was bragging and joking about it. CA is pretty disgusting of a police state.
Camry master race checking in
Police do not need a warrant to enter a motor home
Does that fucking say 460k? Holy shit.
Why on earth would you be friends with a cop?
can't thrive in the countryside
I’ve been homeless in NYC for over 15 years. I will only park in the nicest and quietest neighborhoods within the 5 boroughs. Public restrooms all over the place as well which makes things super convenient.
how do these people survive when non-whites simply exist?
Yes they do unless they're border patrol within 100 miles of the border. Coast Guard can search any vessel within US waters for no reason, including lakes and rivers, so sea steaders living on boats are subject to that. US Customs straight up violates the Bill of Rights but hey let's cheer them on at least they're using their immense power to deport shitskins now.
They are good vehicles
I'm only at about 149k right now on mine.
living like a hobo degenerate scum in what should be the worlds richest nation is based.
Vanlife is just larping it isnt something you can do long term. Its the same self important contraian bullshit as "I dont own a TV" in 80s and early 90s.
How demoralizing.
lmfao is that a fucking arson?
It was, but it was mandatory. The house I used to live at (my moms condo) got sold after she died, and I didn't have the money at the time to rent anywhere.
Same
Indifferent
The United States has been a dead country for almost 50 yrs. People who live abroad in the EU that come here immediately realize we’re basically Africa tier within a week.
100k to live like a bum instead of putting it towards on mortgage on an asset that will actually appreciate
I'd like to get an old Econoline on a Bronco frame. Something pre-76 with a diesel powertrain dropped in.

$30k magically turns into $100k
I'm not following your logic. Owning a house isn't for everyone in current year. It used to be a no brainer when they were cheap, well-built, and calling a professional to perform some maintenance like waterproofing or roofing every decade wouldn't bankrupt you. Now they're all built like shit by Jewish developers hiring corner-cutting illegals using substandard materials. Prices are divorced from reality since houses started being an investment vehicle instead of places to live and raise a family. A new roof costs fucking $30k. It's absolute insanity out there, you have to be really well off and smart in your decision making to make a house work for you anymore. Much easier to give the Masonic dog and pony act the middle finger and live a minimalist lifestyle.
2. throw turdbucket at india (paki) embassy
motherfucker that's very clearly a single decker bus wtf are you talking about? do you know what the fuck a "deck" is?
unless youre single and like workin the lines or oil fields
god damn we get stupid wealthy when they pay your housing
Same, I think van living is based though t. landlord
ooh ooh, look at me, Im sticking it to the jew by having to shit in a bucket
reminder people in 3rd world countries can afford to buy and own their own house, often made of brick or concrete with full plumbing, electricity, full kitchen while young americans have to live in tents or their car
got to love capitalism
I live in company housing, free, free utilities as well. I'm probably gonna die soon doing this work though. All of my friends/co-workers are dead.
My motorhome is better..I got a TV, starlink, hot running water, toilet, stove/oven, and a furnace. Comfy living rent free.
What do you do?
I really don't see why police would go after vans when the homeless encampments have consistently been such a fucking problem. At least the guy sleeping in a van isn't going to shit or piss in public or fent lean in the middle of the street.
Trucker here, I regularly see van lifers parked at truck stops. I saw a converted schoolbus last night with a custom paint job, it looked sick.
Lmao I used to be like you when I was younger. Completely fearful of shitting anywhere but home. I think I lasted until I was 19 before I ever took a shit in a public toilet.
contracted helicopter pilot
They do, especially in the PNW. I was at a rest area in Oregon and there were at least 50 vehicles with people sleeping in them. Not even exaggerating. Some RVs but mostly just broke people living out of their cars. Oregon and Washington are notorious for that.
And that every time you park up somewhere and might want to go into town, you can either drive in with your whole home, or go in like some cuck without a car
Implying you need a car to move around when it's just you
A vanlifer bro I know has a trailer with tools and an electric bike with a charger in the trailer. He can camp on his different properties while he goes to live and drive around wherever he wants, it's pretty based.
do sheets, covers and pillows really cost that much???
My grandad converted a bus into an RV. It was very uncomfortable even as a child.
Might be water from those silly mini camping showers you hang up for a cold shower.
I couldn't live like that solely because vanlife setups can't power a full gaming desktop setup, and my body is extremely sensitive to cold water shock.
If you could cram enough power generation into anything smaller than a bus I'd heavily consider it. As it is, my gaming PC would draw too much for a car or van scaled solar/battery system, and vehicles are too hard to keep secured from junkies and shitskins, especially if you're vehicle living and still wageing without safe rural land to park up.
Did you ever get a blowjob from a van-lifer?
That was gayest NPC trend. My friend in NYC had a friend who sold her apt, bought a very expensive Sprinter van, moved to LA and rents a room with the van just parked taking up space.
Please stay confined to your bedroom.
still wageing
i assumed vanlifers were basically hobos
Nope. I haven't even seen many female van lifers to be honest. Maybe like one or two. Most of them seem to be middle aged drug addicts or boomers.
we really need to make more car living areas for all the good goys in this thread, so they can have a public restroom to use and a cold shower after a hard day of wage slaving. We dont even need jews when we have willing peasants like this
Choose to live in a van
Can live anywhere, park up in beautiful national parks, by the river, snowy mountains
could be out everyday hiking, fishing, skiing, enjoying the bliss on nature and 0 indians
BUT MUH GAMING PC
yall are beyond fucking hope
Don't they have to pay like $70 a night for a camping permit? Aren't hotels cheaper than that?
i am landlord that rents appartment and think vanlife is based and repilled
they literally have a shower in them that runs off a tank. they have a stove, sink, comfortable bed. my friend has a ford camper van that looks sort of like the OP. its fucking awesome. and you can go anywhere you want. theyre like 150k new. expensive, but certainly cheaper than a house or condo.
There isn't really any way to stop people doing it since it's just a van that can stop anywhere overnight.
They love him. They say: if you don't pay rent you become like this hobo with a van.
You're still a wage slave if you live in a van. You have to pay for gas, water filling, and electrical charging. Sure you can work part time but they're not going to like all the time off you request to go actually travel with your van. All the remote jobs have been outsourced.
The only way to truly be free is to take the Diogenes pill.
They still do when city council is pressuring them because boomers keep complaining and they find some reason to justify it to themselves.
not paying jewish landlords
not on my watch
holy
It would be a nightmare to not have a fixed address to go to. You’d just be a tramp. I don’t see how people do it.
because boomers and karens think that converted vans and RV's and buses and box vans are an eyesore and attract crime, and van dwellers are "outsiders" the police won't catch any flak for driving off, or scalping for parking/loitering tickets.
They'd literally make their own kids homeless, and then call the cops on them when they buy a van and park in their childhood neighbourhood.
Up here most people can't even afford the insane rents while working full time, if I wasn't living with family right now I'd be homeless even with a full time job because individual bedrooms are going for over 1200/m, 1bdr's are going for 1800, and studios are going for 1200 to 2000/m.
I don't even have debt, but these apartments are all being held by giant GTA/international rental conglomerates that won't even look at you if you arent the same race as them, or your income isn't 3 times what they're demanding for rent, or speculative investors who are just hodling for the next price rise.
I've always been fascinated by the mobile stealth camper van. People have some pretty badass builds. I wouldn't want to live in one however, but it would be cool to take out camping. I'd want something like pic related, 4x4 Sprinter. Solar panels on top, Murphy type bed that folds down over a couch, internet access, 360 camera surveillance, kitchen, little toilet.
forgot pic
these cost the same as a studio apartment in Europe. maybe makes sense in US but definitely not in EU
How the fuck are you going to raise a family while living in a van? Living alone sounds miserable. Living alone in a fucking van sounds hellish.
bears fuck him
They deffinetly bring in laws. Some places even have laws that you cant keep a van in your yard.
See you are not goona be allowed to circumvent artifical scarcity of housing with current elites backed by boomers.
Any alternative option be it van tent tree house etc. Will be either banned or regulated to hell so it becomes expensive.
I'm pretty sure he hates himself too
I have a high school friend doing that right now and she can't get out from under the loan a sugar daddy took out for her, the roof and HVAC is fucked and she hates sleeping on the bed after having literally dozens of sugar daddies and hookups in it over the last few years, but she has no way to get rent and can't sell the van because it's not in her name
Vans are too much. They're too obvious. I have learned through doing this for extended periods that what is best would be to look for a truck or SUV with a 'shell' in the trunk. You can then take out the shell with an impact drill. You could then replace the bottom of a seat with some sort of wooden box where he can sleep at an angle, and you could even take it a step further by either upholster it to look like a speaker box or perhaps just sticking expected car stuff over it. You literally would not be able to get more stealth than that. The smaller the space, the easier to heat as well.
Yours for only $249,999
Landlords HATE him.
skinwalkers adore him

Robbers and muggers LOVE him.
I couldn't live like that solely because vanlife setups can't power a full gaming desktop setup
I mean i got an ecoflow delta pro 3 plus a 400w folding solar panel for recharge. Im gonna test it this summer but im pretty sure it can provide around 10 hours a day of gaming laptop recharge+keeping a 40 litre car fridge at 0 degrees.
literally only nepotism babies can vanilift to start with, vans cost almost three times the amount a basic car cost.
Idk about america but in europe you can find a 5k euro used van. I made 12k in a few months by delivrring food in a high income high rent country by sleeping in my car and paying swimming pool for shower and using 24 hour gas station toilet lol
Lmao come in the middle of nowhere and try it. Im gonna use you as fish bait after i run you through with a bowie knife
not even close, take your meme flag off.
Not even close what?
Btw anyone who wants to start van life google solar oven.

i image this works over a long term period to cook food, like it takes hours to smoke meat or like a slow cooker etc
I understand, but you got to sleep at some point, and then we'll see.
You cant go wherever you want though, not in europoor atleast, you have to pay for a slot next to boomers on a camping place, especially with anything bigger than a van
You can't harm their wallets because they'll just replace you, with shitskins if necessary. You can't harm their properties because they're insured. The only way to stop landlords is to harm them.
I havent tested mine but description said it goes up to 280 celcius by sitting in the sun for a couple of mins. Dont remember im still wageslaving. ill go home in june and do a van life test drive the whole summer to see how many expenses ill have and how much money i need to do yhe next christmas period for at least 2-3 years of expenses.
My brother just did that shit for a fucking decade, He had an apartment in NY and said fuck it when they banned crypto in 2015. Shit was selling for about 500 dollars. He traded them then pissed everyone off by going to Europe. But he kept aside one bitcoin. And now he has whatever one bitcoin is worth. And still lives in a van.
My family had a camper and we'd go camping for 2 months every summer. Granted, at seaside where we'd swim all day, but still
See what? ill wake up from the noise. Break your arms and legs with my mma training and drag you in the nearby seawater to have the waves hit your broken limbs.
ill go home in june and do a van life test drive the whole summer to see how many expenses ill have and how much money i need to do yhe next christmas period for at least 2-3 years of expenses.

They'll bring in laws to criminalize it by proxy. Loitering law amendments mostly to extend to it basically anywhere in city limits you could potentially park, perhaps laws to ban idling or remaining inside vehicle for 'excessive' periods of time.
There's also the route of taxing and licensing/permitting hell for buying RVs or camper vans to price the people who would use them as alternatives to homes out of acquiring them either new or second hand
it's already crappening in the non-descript shit hole from hell i live in
Yea i will, im thinking after half a year of vacation tier to relax i will start trying to live off the land with no money and van life being my safety net and i will do a journal to report average day effort compared to wageslaving for printed money and just upload it on the internet lol.
take off your meme flag.
Or what?
Girlfriend dumped me a couple weeks ago and while she was very kind snd loving and I do miss her I also feel free now. I hate my job and I'm thinking of becoming a van life Dungeon Master. Currently I own a paid off sedan and have around 75,000 dollars in savings. Can't sfford even a tinyhome with my dog shit salary without a fucking 458 dollar a month HoA fee, thanks to faggot boomers who make that shit illegal with muh minimum lot size cause if you're not paying maxed out property tax you're a leech. So I'm thinking of just going car life. I live in an area where winter is a thing but it's not horrifically harsh. Even so it's spring now here so I would have time to figure things out. I was thinking I could run a grand multiple threaded West marches campaign st the FLGS and effectively outcompete Adventurers League despite having the same style of game.
Has anyone done this? My imagination is so deadened by wagecucking it's amazing I can run my current campaign. I used to run 2x a week and my material was so much better. GODS I WAS STRONG THEN. I was a wagie then too but only part-time. Id play after work at the FLGS that was 500 ft from work. God I miss those days. I've considered going back to that but idk. There's a Laundromat in the same plaza too as well as a nearby gym for showering.
For water just buy 1-2 thirty litre food grade barrels or something. You wont run out of water before the next rain by which point you get to refill them.

I live in an area where winter is a thing but it's not horrifically harsh.
My only advice would be to get an electric blanket plus battery you can run it off of, maybe solar powered or something idk (the battery not the blanket obviously), and also some collapsible walls or tarp or something to make a mini temp. garage type thing for the car. Removal of windchill should make it more bearable. And possibly a good rated sleeping bag if you don't want to do the electric blanket set up.
Also, idea 2: you could always move. You have a car, drive to a new area, maybe one where winter isn't so harsh. You already hate your job may as well look for a new one.
then again I'm a useless NEET so what do I know. Good luck anon.
Except when the cruise control sensor fails
Just hit 160k on my 2018
There is a thing going on about clay pots and candles for warmth but it might be a LARP. For now i just think i will use the solar oven for warmth in the winter as a heater for the car. In america ive seen many builds with a wood stove(peak comfy).
I used to live inside a shipping container in a really cheap property i got in texas
I was also a truck driver for a while living on the side of the road for over 10 years and did 2 years of van life and container life
I might go back to van life again
There is a thing going on about clay pots and candles for warmth but it might be a LARP.
It's definitely a larp. Besides the physics component of it, you're in an enclosed space with little airflow (otherwise it would be fucking cold(er)), and you want to burn what little oxygen you have + release petroleum fumes into the air? It won't kill you but it will hurt cognition a little. I would just say suck it up with the sleeping bag + body heat.
I would just say suck it up with the sleeping bag + body heat.
Yea thats pretty much how i slept in the car during christmas period wageslaving. Its doable but a heating source would be nice. Solar oven might work during the day but idk about night.
just set a tyre on fire
My future plans are revolving around being in sweden most the year then working remote once it gets wintery, so Ive been thinking about this idea, like living in one and parking it in some indoor storage over winter, wondering how it would compare to my current rent which I need to pay when im remote etc,
Buying a place could work too but filling it with someone for 3+ month stints wouldnt work too well
I went camping for a week I imagine I would survive for a week.
Yea thats pretty much how i slept in the car during christmas period wageslaving
Number 1 problem i noticed is cnensation/moisture literally dripping water after a night without windows open. Van life will need a roof window and rain barries for normal windows before anything else.
cnensation/moisture

Post your set up anon
Gubmint park service is his landlord
How's much does he pay in Park fees per day? Probably adds up to more than rent to live in a cubby hole.
Is there a universal law that everything becomes a scam enriching some boomer eventually?
They hate Wayne Albright and his shed more
Kill the park ranger before you move? You cant tell me there is no place in all of america where no one will bother you if you park there long term. Even here in europe im confident i can find such a place.
remember when SNL was funny?
Comfy place as well. Not just place.
I can't lie, that looks pretty cozy. I would add brand new tires and just outfit a newer engine with newer parts, but damn just thinking about having one of these to crash in and saving thousands a month sounds like a dream. I'm sure once you find a nice secluded spot that's close to the nearest town you could then use your personal vehicle to find small jobs/part time work to just maintain the small repairs that's needed for your box truck. That's how I'd do it.
As long as you are 5'5 or shorter.
survived winter thanks to two 980 Ti's running in SLI as my heatsource
How did you power them and how high pf a temperature were you getting in the van, not the gpus temps but the literal air temp inside the van where you could move about? Howd you power it?
IIRC, you can stay on National Forest or Bureau of Land Management land for up to 30 days. So you can just keep rotating between spots every month.
I guess so. My plan fir the summer is to find a semi-secluded beach and nit move from there except for a shirt trip to fill up on food, which would be once every two weeks probably.

Portable camping shower is necessary cause i probably wont be in a beach with showers lol. That saltwater will become unbearavle otherwise after a while. I bought one with pressure pump but there battery ones as well.
Most important is one of those handheld electric brooms. Otherwise you will mutate into a dust elemental.
This, vanlife isn't an option for me, I tried.
t. 6'4", 200 lbs
I mean these things dont know what they are called
You will live in ze van.
Yea cause its so hard to dig a hole 200 meters away and take a shit away from your van right?
Yes.
15 days but no one really checks and as long as you don't make it look like a homeless encampment you could probably get away with longer.
Vagabon migrant rapists LOVE him
For real? Got any advice on boondocking?
as long as you don't make it look like a homeless encampment
I plan on putting a hammock as a luxury bed on comfy days. I will murder anyone stupid enough to confront me about in an isolated place.
Yea cause its so hard to dig a hole 200 meters away and take a shit away from your van right?
Yes. That's why we have outhouses or toilets. It's not something you want to do every time you need to take a shit or you need to do when there's an emergency shit incoming during hard rain or snow.
Also one of those beach tents for the sun if no trees around and solar panel. I cant think of anything else that eill be outside the van for long periods but either way im ready to kill if you bother me about it.
Its not domething i want to do if i have to wageslave the next morning. If i have infinite time its a nothingburger.
You say that like it’s some sort of drama
A few years ago, someone just parked their van at the end of my commie block and lived in-between the parked cars.
When half of your population just parks around the apartment buildings, nobody is checking the guy with the camping van.
picture is obviously showing the upper deck
NOMAD BRAD HERE FROM THE PLANET FITNESS PARKING LOT, TODAY I WILL MAKE A CUP OF COFFEE AND INSTALL A SOLAR PANEL. PEACE
I meant like trash everywhere and shopping carts. If you're going to do that just go into the city, no one will bother you because you'll blend right in.
Fridge, stove, 100liters of water and more then enough power from solarpanels what more could i ask for? Hot water and heat would be nice but i only use it in the summer so its no biggie.
Laptop and unlimited mobile data, somehow i get better internet out here then i do at "home"
I'm dead that's the best cuckbox I've seen
This is called being a gamer
Not a fan of this as I was homeless for the majority of my "best years". It was boring as fuck and living with a bunch of insane people in one van got old real quick.
if i dont wageslave all day i will die of boredom
Skill issue. I plan on teaching myself guitar+oil painting+getting back to my mma Anon Babble body+a laptop full of games movies and audiobooks.
I redid my roof (new beams insulation and tiles) and it was $23.000. It will stay good for atleast 60 years. I also put new tar on the shed and the extension of my home and those will be good for atleast 20 years. Maybe you guys should consider better building materials.
Also i plan on teachimg myself to cook. Solar oven+rice/pressure cooker+recipe book+herb book for foraging.
if i dont wageslave all day i will die of boredom
I don't see where I said that. What a idiotic statement. I have several lifetimes worth of shit to do that I won't ever get to and that's OK.
I cant see how it is boring as fuck then. You need to almost die from drug overdose at a rave party to not be bored?
If vans were as easy to repair as bikes then this would be a viable lifestyle.
What’s the custom paint job, FREE CANDY emblazoned on the sides?
I cant see how it is boring as fuck then.
It was in the early 90s.
do not give the attention seeker replies. every single post is designed to get you agitated and replying.
If your (used) van can hold for 1 year then it already paid itself compared to 1 year of rent. And you have to be really unlucky for it to not hold at least 2-3 years.
I'm not an "attention seeker". Enjoy your treason charge for policing users on here. Order up.
Somebody needs to shoot to a nursing home
Do you need a special permit to reside there permanently? Is it easy to get if you're unemployed/self-employed?
You really think Chad non incel types get to that point of living in a van? Even the most beta of chads can enjoy the luxury of having some dumb bitch house him in exchange for dick.
It was in the early 90s.
Idk. Here in europe im pretty much confined in the country i buy the car and the rest of the countries i can only be for limited amounts of time. Being able to decide where i want to be continent size sounds awesome.
I know where there's a free one for you guys.
I rent in an expensive city. I’ve been thinking of moving back with my parents (3 hours away) but buying a Tesla model Y to commute (3 days in the office a week) to my job and sleep in over night. Then I can drive back home. Specifically a Tesla because they have camp mode so it can regulate the temperature in winter/summer even when the car is off.
Wood stove? I do you have issues with any laws in sweden about this?
lol
based?
nah, they removed this bus because people kept going to it
I knew a guy that slept in his Chevy Bolt overnight because the commute was too long. I'd be kind of on edge sleeping in public though.
I think i ordered the same pressure cooker lol. I think ill also buy a cast iron pan in case i want to cook on a campfire. Ebay has plenty of already darkened.
This would be the dream but how the fuck would I get a PC running from there? Not to mention the event of shit weather.
Gaming laptop can run on a big ebough power bank that recharges through solar panel however it can get expensive compared to other stuff you will buy. I got a gaming addiction so i bought ecoflow delta pro 3 it can charge my laptop for 10 hours easy but it cost me 3200 euro along with shipping expenses if i recall correctly.
Suitcase generator like a predator or Honda, Lifepo5 batteries, solar panels
gaming laptop
amateur hour, hook your PC up to your system using a UPS so it doesn't get fried and just run it off your Solar or Generator.
If you buy a power bank make sure it low db sound. I almost bought one and i found out the last moment that id have an airplane in my van. Same for a fridge.
Still why pay for anything? You're still a slave, go off into the wilderness and live off the land.
Gaming laptops are superior to desktop pc and im tired of pretending otherwise.
$70,000 Mercedes camper van
Nigger my house was less than that....
Also why would i run appliances directly through the solar? That sounds retarded.
You're being facetious, you know well enough that you can't go 'live off the land' in the continental US without forest jannies showing up - especially if you're not a native american who can poach critters with impunity, and trying to do it in Alaska would be hard for even the most seasoned of mountain men who still came down into town every so often for beans and butter or whatever
No, I prefer to live like a modern pirate, sailing my land yacht around the US living within your society but also separate. I know, it's upsetting, but I'm just not gunna hide. Sorry.
Coworker recommended against that. Hard to regulate temp especially in such a small rv. Got to 0c last night and i managed to keep 10-15c inside so i slept fine. Cold showers outside it what kills me, gonna pass out and hit my head on a rock if those get any colder.
Solar->Controller->Inverter->Battery
You are running the appliances off your Battery, it is being charged by the solar power. If you're some sort of desert weirdo you can also convert your appliances to DC and run them off the solar power directly but only the real freaks do this.
There are sone mini wood stoves i think that are ideal. Idk having fire flickers and sounds on a cold night but warm in the van sounds peak comfy in my mind lol.
Jesus dude get a Mr. Buddy propane heater or one of those Chinese Diesel Heaters
I’ve slept overnight at onroutes. Never felt unsafe because there are other people sleeping there and a lot of public activity even at night
Does he eat canned beans every meal?
Controller->Inverter->Battery
Thats what a power bank condenced in a box is basicaly. I guess if you know what you are doing you can make your own. I dont so i bought a power bank. Plus it saves much space from what ive seen on vids of manual electric systems.
yes, your power bank is basically a 'package' deal for people who want a little solar box when they're camping, it's not really meant for long term use the way a mounted system is but it will do the job. You're not really saving space in the long run, if I had to cart around a solar power bank thing the same way I cart around my suitcase generator that'd be one more thing in my way. As it stands my solar panels are on the roof, my controller is high up on the wall in my living quarters where I can see the stats at all times, my battery and inverter bank are in an undercarriage hatch.
The fridge and stove are run on propane. And i got a free copper line that i could hook anything up to. Im really not that bothered. Its the beginning of the season its only gonna get warmer.
In a month or two im gonna be wishing for an ac instead of heater, Its an rv from the 80s so im living to those standards.
Im loving it super cozy.
spend a week
Done it many times. Pretty easy solo. But living out of one is different, and I would want a high top or one of those you can stand up in.
Just remember, the bankers of the world want to own everything. They have already tricked the world into using paper and ink, so they can have all the wealth. Now, they want all the land, and you will own nothing. Van living should only be done with the end game of property ownership with the savings or income.
Landlords don't hate him, they don't give a fuck about a man living in a campervan. No, it is the government that hates him
not that bothered
the Mr. Buddy heater is like 100 bucks and will last you indefinitely, I've had mine for ~8 years and I only break it out maybe ~two weeks out of the year but it's still nice to have it. This is the future we're living in, take the modern tech and make yourself comfy.
This is the ideal right here.
Nice big ass box truck, drive around, park between apartments at night times so nobody could question you.
Although personally I would have way more useful storage compared to this one, his is fairly empty.
maxresdefault
Also, where the video at
Stealth camping is honestly inner-city newbie car-camping shit. If you've got a big RV like that you should own it to everyone else, not try to hide. It goes over much better in the long run.
Depends, the one i bought is the size of computer box(and heavy too i wouldnt reccomend for car life only van life) and its 4 kw of storage. ill be recharging it with a 400w solar panel that folds and can be put in the van. With an extention cable i can put the solar panel in the dun while i park under a tree and its pretty much the same as a manual electric system otherwise.
Sounds like pretty decent specs but I still enjoy having the actual system, being able to change out parts or add onto it as I want. I can run my fridge/750w psu gaming computer/t5 grow lights all day if we have sunlight with only two 100 watt panels
Nice whats the battery storage capacity?
Wait is 400w solar panel overkill then? I have no idea and i think i consume less than you with a laptop.
Guess ill die burning in my sleep from overcharged battery lol.
Maybe il buy one desu swedish amazon has one for 77€. Still unsure where the exhaust goes though. If it runs on propane it has to go somewhere no?
most U.S. states calculate property taxes as a percentage of a property's assessed value
Fucking nightmare fuel.
Adding more panels increases the overall amount of DC current you can use and increases the speed at which the batter will reach full charge, and the rate at which it 'holds' a charge on a cloudy day. You want more batteries if you want more 'power' for longer, for example over night, your same 400 watt panels could slowly charge up a giant battery bank that provided you with 5 days straight of power, or you could put out a field of panels and charge up your 200ah battery within 5 seconds of the sun hitting it.
To actually answer your question, no, its probably not going to be over-kill, you're going to want all the good surface area you can get to charge your battery.
You already said your stove works off propane, have you noticed the vent above your stove? The actual amount of Co2 being put off by the Buddy is very low compared to the heat, you just crack a window (Yes, in winter)
If it were going to over-charge it'd do it during the day in the sunlight lel but to your point, this is why everyone says 'don't skimp on a solar controller' for your solar system, because the solar controller is basically what stops the battery from being over-charged with sunlight
On my rv i have 120w solar and a 100amp lifepo4 battery. Aslong as there is any sun at all i dont have to worry at all.
Laptop and phone chargers take suprisingly little energy. But if i park in a shady area i get a bit worried but havent had my inverter warn about low power since i installed the 120w solar panel even in shady areas and i usually stay 3-4 days in the same spot.
too many bureocracy and taxes in Europe, i'm spooked just by reading it.
I hope i helped an anon/femanon itt to find an alternative life to the soul crush with my spam. Food delivery(comfiest low pace job for those who just cant into normal wageslave, i even listen to audiobooks while i drive) in high income, high rent country(in america it would go by state i think but im not sure) while sleeping in my car is how i made money to set this up. Once you set this up you can escape wageslave+boomer parents+whatever to finally relax for the first time since birth and do whatever you want including improve things from there if you want more than van ljfe(i dont).
Interesting. Do you know any good laptops? Because ever since I got into pc gaming, all I heard was gaming laptop are shit.
Thanks. Ill have to read the manual when i get home to see if there is overcharge safety.
Unless you're trying to run things straight off the sun (direct current) you should think of the panels themselves as just a generator that is powering your batteries, the power for your system comes from the batteries. You could charge the batteries to full with a trickle charger hooked to a windmill, you could unhook your battery and carry it into Autozone and ask them to charge it up etc. The panels are somehow one of the least important parts of your system, despite being the central point of the entire system.
Running water
Tank
Fuck off. That said, yes it's a fine concept for certain people. Let's not pretend it's cheap though. There is nothing cheap about combining a home and a vehicle and living in it. it's also incredibly inconvenient for many things.
One benefit that is no one can take away from you is the ability to get the fuck away from wherever you are in case it sucks. This is incredibly valuable and speaks for Itself.
I bought mine 6 years ago and it stops being able to run elden ring tier games. If i buy a new one im pretty sure it will play all the games for the next 6 years easily. Its an asus something. Sorry but im sleeping in my car and the laptop is in another country cant remember.
gaming laptops are fundamentally flawed by the laws of thermodynamics, they will all be destroyed through their own use and there is no rectifying this until they don't heat up while running games.
Thanks. ill definetely spend entire days not moving from my laptop and getting overdose from gaming lol
Be woman
Can literally use pussy to get resources
Does so
Cries about it later
Boo hoo.
minimalist
Meaning what? Downtown microapartment and a shikibuton? Enjoy fucking your hand and shitposting into alcoholism.
why dont i see people doing this for stealth air circulation in van builds. just thick raddius tubing and you could path it around the side of the inside of the van out of the way
any technical questions about the diagram im ready to explain. its quite technical
most people who do these builds aren't really that experienced with the finer points of RV living or how exactly the space should be utilized. For example, look at
he spent all that money and the use of space is so fundamentally wrong I can only assume he did the entire built for instagram and not to live in
Must be nice to not live in America
Don't reply to the fakeroom unless it's to tell him he's a faggot. He wants (you)s and adds nothing to the conversation
Yes you are. You're a faggot attention seeker. Always have been since you stole the "breakroom" schtik, always will be.
Once you set this up
+another round of wageslaving to make enough for next years of expenses. Anyways hope the spam helped somewhat. Bye.
Next few years*
might as well point out why this guy had no idea what the fuck he's doing
the counters/cabinets have no lips on the edge so when you drive everything is just going to slide off
the chair is a roller chair
distinct lack of cabinets where some shitty pictures are
walls appear uninsulated based on the truck trim still visible on the left
carpet on the floor
Ubuntu
Couldn't give up that dream of being a writer?
used the cheap laminate flooring on the wall instead of the floors
seriously amateur hour in here
their shit when you dont consider their portability. yes, they are worse in every single metric then a non portable device. no matter what.
but its your only fucking option if you want to be portable, so its also by default: the best.
anyways when i was looking up vanlife as a curiosity i figured i would have two laptops. one dedicated, GAYMEN only machine that had no regards to power saving or anything. basically just a stupid overpriced gaymen laptop id use when i had access to power outlets, a treat. then id have one of those "green" laptops that are as energy efficient as possible, pretty slow and shit, but last 20 hours on a charge for browsing the web/movies/gay porn.
or you could get something like a rog g14 where its both got a decentish gpu but also has the architecture to last 12 hours if you basically nueter it with the included software.
the steam deck would be a pretty decent option if you like the device, beause you can just connect it to a monitor, mouse, keyboard and boot straight to desktop and use it like a pc in a pinch.
so
steamdeck if you want just a gayming device that CAN be used like a pc in a pinch
e-green laptop and nice laptop for gaymen and heavy browsing/entertaiment
or just a 2-1 gaymen laptop with a green power saving mode
eh, i dont think that guys build is bad, its just a different use case. i was considering "van"life like that, where it was actually just "box truck parked in the driveway that will never move". there was a while where we were looking for places and i told them "hey, if you find a 4 bedroom place not a 5 bedroom place, but it has a backyard"...
basically just a grannyflat with the potential to move.
but thats definitely just for tiktok. just saying not all vanlife vans need to be ready to hit the road in seconds. maybe you only move it twice a year, leave before winter, come back before summer, power cords from the boxtruck to back door of cousins garage.
its obviously not intended to be driven every day
Doesn't matter if it's meant to be driven every day, the distinct lack of use of the space says it all - you couldn't live comfy in that build for more than a weekend at a festival.
Bike packer here. Somehow airbnbs command a 100% premium over 1 year rent which is like 50% more than a mortgage. Jobs have never been stable, long term or in the same spot. My health goes into the 99% percentile doing this and its very economical.
Thinking about getting a trailer with a big battery and a star link for it
I think nomad is going to take off alot faster as meb realize its only inferior to a house if you have a wife and children
I camped off my bicycle for 6 months and only stopped because I ran into the west coastline.
You don't "survive" camping, it's a pleasant activity. Unless you're retarded and/or useless.
Nice loadout, anon.
Haha ty anon
You too
