How does this compare to grocery prices in your country?
This will cost like 28€ here
I BET YOU SUKHDEEP KANG
ELBOWS UP CŲCKNUCK
The price of chicken (breasts) is absurd. It’s bad enough here. Just buy wings, thighs or legs.. they’re cheaper.
3 chicken breasts 6.5
Jar of Alfredo sauce 2
1 box of pasta which was on sale 1.4
6 pack of beer 5
2 cans of soup (on sale) 3
2 boxes of granola bars (on sale) 4
22 Euro Max
You hide some products in the back
$13
It's only going to get worse maple faggot
beer
that was $20 alone bud
alcohol is a huge luxury here
Welcome back
There is more than 1 kilo here
and clean your stove nigger
THAT IS NOT GROCERIES THAT IS JUST GOYSLOP FOR A RETARD
LEARN HOW TO COOK SOMETHING YOU RETARDED FAGGOT
No. behind it is my salt and pepper shakers and olive oil.
That 6 pack of laker is about $13
Funny thing is those chunky soups were on for 2.50, normally they are 4.50
Let me guess you need more?
36 USD
Seems about right, maybe cheaper if you get rotting frankenchicken from Walmart or Aldi
You need to expel the french from your country. Most assholish and obnoxious race on earth
22 Euro Max
whihc would be more than 50 afghani carney dinari
I got three chickens worth of meat from my aunt for free and my Mexican sidepiece gave me free birria sauce. $1.50 tortillas later and I have dinner for a week
buys the luxury granola bars
next time skip the dip and chewiness and go for the yellow box
Campbell's chunky (aka "luxury soup") : $3.50 x 2 = $7
Name brand spaghetti bullets: $3
Name brand Alfredo sauce: $3
Blue menu chicken breast: $13
President's choice children's candy: $2 x 2 = $4
Tranny fluid: $20
Is the whole point of these threads to piss off savvy shoppers such as myself?
Here's how to save money:
Avoid name brands like presidents choice
Buy no name instead
No name pasta noodles are like 99 cents and you get a much bigger package.
For $10 you could have had 6 chicken breasts just not blue menu.
Campbell's has said their soup is not over priced and said it has always been a luxury brand, boycott them immediately.
Don't buy candies for kids unless you are giving them to your kids, adults shouldn't be eating this shit.
Stop drinking liquid Jew.
Groceries are supposed to be necessities.
If you're buying anything besides necessities you are not allowed to complain about cost.
Before or after deposit/enviro/etc?
50CAD is like $20
2 boxes of granola bars (on sale)
and youre telling me youre not american
it is
Do you remember when you could get a select footlong sub for $5 CAD everyday, and it wasn't made by a pajeet?
Pepperidge farm remembers
Yeah what the fuck am I going to eat tomorrow?
$13 would get you 2kg worth of chicken at costco.
50CAD is 32 euro
Less than half.
These threads are always funny because Canadians and Americans are operating under the asusmption the two countries dollars are worth the same. Leafs will be like "my rent is $2000 but in the states you can get a one bedroom for $1400" meanwhile with exchange it's equivalent.
kek where is this, i get twice as much chicken for half that cost, everything else does add up
The joke is that they're both worthless if you zoom out far enough.
24-27 euros maybe less
beer
canned slop soup loaded with BPA
prepackaged snack bars
You are stupid and deserve to be poor.
President's choice is a generic brand alongside no name which are both owned by Loblaws and the Weston family. But because this country is a capitalistic, oligopoly shithole larping as a socialist paradise, we get rated on taxes and store prices.
Pic semi-related
With CPKC and CN rail dominating transport, they can set their prices like loblaws, longos and metro
19.23 gbp (35.46 cad)
I remember when you could get a bag of noodles this size for 0.39€ and im not even old
Drinking the fermented jew
Enjoy your gyno
eating food
there's your problem, if you just didnt eat you'd save so much money.
Don't worry, Canadians can no longer get enough calories to build fat reserves.
Don't listen this anon. He is what we Canadians call the grocery jew. He bought those groceries in a remote place called Nunavut which gets grocery deliveries only when the ice melts so everything is more expensive there. He always tries to pretend those prices are normal.
chicken breast
What’s the weight? Meats are sold by weight, not number. I bought 3.3lbs of boneless thighs for $10
jars and cans and bars of hyper processed goyslop
Stop buying garbage. Get dry whole grains. Corn, wheat, barley, etc. Just add hot water
box of pasta
Eh, it could be worse
cans of beer
Go to a proper alcohol store and buy bottles of regional or local brews, not metal cans. 12 bottles for $10 here
beer
pasta
granola bars
alfredo sauce
Dude, watch you cal count
Those soups are a huge waste of money. They are like 400 calories.
dad hunts an ass load
He butchers meat himself, loves doing it too.
Just gives away all the meat to everyone in the family.
Always have like 300lbs of meat in a freezer
Grew up on game meat so I prefer it.
On really lean times, I've been able to reduce my food bill to less than $30 a month because I always have meat.
You voted for it
alcohol and sugar
weak nigger
Go fuck yourself memeflag.
It’s apartheid groceryjew and he only posts here when he’s not busy trying to murder babies in Gaza.
Asshole up traitor.
$63, you're forgetting the $50 he'd also have to shell out for the cheapest membership
I can make Finnish pancakes :) and I learned I can make cookies bymy self but I can't tell time so I take them when they are hard :)
Weight
If you look closely you can see it's 651g
That's pretty cool. A lifestyle I'd like to live. It seems we are rapidly getting to the point where food production and the ability to go out and get what you need will be the difference between life and death.
have one shot at life
be born in Canada
It was over for you before it even began
Stop shopping at loblaws you retarded pajeet
In Australia at a typical supermarket this would cost:
6 pack of beer: $23
Alfredo sauce: $4.60
Same Barilla penne lisce (but 500g): $3
3 X chicken breasts (650g): $8.45
2 X chunky Campbells soup: $11
12 X muesli bars (decent brand): 11.50
All of this would cost $61.55 in Australia - but most people would wait for the chunky soups and muesli bars to drop to half price before they buy them
You don’t need to spend money, Rapejesh. The Canadian people give it out for free.
You bought the most expensive pasta (potato and rice are cheaper and lost longer, canned soup (lol wtf make yourself cost less), granola bars (aka, candy).
Like, $50 for that shit. I was just down at the supermarket here and bought shit for $20 and now I can make a huge gulash soup and that will last me a week, and I bake my own bread to it.
Don't be a loser, learn to cook and learn to cook in volume. When I cook shit I cook for a week and put it into the freezer or whatever.
Just cook 3 weeks worth of plain white rice and mixed beans to go with it. That's all you need.
Do you really need more than 3 pencils?
chicken breasts $4 for kg
Alfredo sauce - Idk why not about $2
box of pasta - 1$
6 pack of beer - $4
2 cans of soup - 2$
2 boxes granola bars - Idk, it will be $5
$18
I’m sad that Dukeposting actually got recognition as a meme but Lord Humongous and the in-store prices never did.
Tyson chicken is just as bad as Aldi if not worse.
That costs like 30 american dollars here.
chicken breast
just buy a whole chicken it's usually cheaper for an entire chicken than it is for just pre packaged chicken breast
Don’t drink beer you’ll save a lot of money and be healthier
Dude don't buy Loblaws. Those people were literally spending the money they are overcharching you on a polo court being relevelled last year. Try freshco, you can get twice as much stuff
What is the average income after taxes in Canada?
About $50-55k CAD
This was September of '24. Prolly $130 in yesteryear dollars. Right now I don't have grid power so I got a mini fridge to run off my modest solar setup. It's challenging, but thankfully I have a gas range/BBQ/firepit for cooking. Gonna try toughing it out for a month on strictly solar.
Spending is 1/3-1/4 of wage on groceries, the same as us in provincial small town.
laker is the cheapest piss beer in ontario. laker ice is the patrician choice for an alcoholic on a budget
why would you buy any of this garbage? is it really more expensive to just go to your local butcher/veggie market and make some healthy food for the day? in all honesty i cant believe it
Generally No Frills is better for any dry bulk and Freshco for meat. No Frills has better one off sales for large cuts of meat, but Freshco has way better day to day meat prices since they have an actual butcher section and offer all cuts. They also sometimes have a well priced big cut too. Veggies are a toss up, depends on owner, but I do most of my daily at no frills and stock up less often at freshco for meat and international food.
Leafs will be like "my rent is $2000 but in the states you can get a one bedroom for $1400" meanwhile with exchange it's equivalent.
Guess why the exchange rate is the way it is, because our GDP is lower than your poorest state mississippi. Our rent was actually closer to $2400 at the peak of the jeetening for a one bedroom while the average income in our most developed city was..... $54,000 before taxes. After taxes its like $42,000.
same prices as Texas unfortunately
Stop buying beer dumbass. Wtf do you even need that for? Are you a woman?
well done son
I used a food bank for the first time in my life a couple of weeks ago, and it got me thinking about how much of their offerings aren't flying off the shelf: like lentils and beans. I was sort of sheepish about being there and could've carried a lot more out. My mindset was such that I just need a little to tide me over, and god forbid I take more than I need, but now it's like, "Gonna stock my pantry with FB leftovers!"
Pic unrelated.
I’m not poor so I don’t pay attention to my grocery bill.
beer is for women
only the hottest faggot takes here on Anon Babble
glad goot fixed the place so we wouldn't be deprived
I've been a poorfag before but if you give up daily consumption of meat you give up your humanity.
1 pack of meat
Utterly pathetic
barilla
just subhuman things
jar of alfredo sauce
have some dignity
Get more groats if you're poor, dumbass.
you people want globally connected economies and monkey capitalism so dont cry
He is not poor, he is a retard
Campbell's
Barilla
Shopping at Superstore
You got the premium food items and didn't use a PC rewards card, that why. Quit complaining about the prices, they're literally the same as they were 5 years ago. It's all in your head. What were expecting, the government to pay for your lazy ass?
Wednesday
welfare day
Or maybe just get a job instead of getting sitting on your ass lmao you have absolutely no business complaining
looks like a child went shopping
all that's missing is 2liter fanta and a bag of lays
average canadian
GROCERY PRICES ARE HIGH FROM TRUMP
uhh, karen, no sweaty... it's due to the monopoly system. do we import these locally grown groceries? no. has trump even placed the tariffs yet? no. do you even know what's going on in your own country? no? fucking arrogant nazi bitch...
2 cans of soup (on sale)
Luxury soups.
It's for women, fags, and troons.
where?
I have one just a few hundred feet from where I live. I just get PB and eggs from them.
I can afford to buy my own PB, but meh, apocalypse food. Eggs though...I'm boycotting eggs until they get their heads out of their asses about the prices. Just like buying a home, aint no logical, sane or legitimate reason for either of those things to be so fucking expensive right now. Price gouging corporate greed, plain and simple.
Imagine being so low test you're worried a few beers will push you into sissy territory.
I spent $24.80 the other day on just 3 cans of cat food, a bag of fries and a bottle of dish soap. It’s seriously cheaper to just buy beer and let myself waste way.
A 12 of Pabst is $19.50
Almost feels like it’s by design.
Imagine thinking any level as a man is good for you, that's women thinking.
Just a little cyanide is fine
Just a little lead is fine
Just a little stricnin is fine
Just a little plastic in your balls is fine.
You have a vagina, stfu.
I used to make fun of Canadians for the luxury soups. Then the soups became a luxury for me too. Those fuckers cost nearly 3 dollars.
alcohol is a huge luxury here
brew ur own eh
I'm probably getting less estrogen drinking beer from glass bottles than you are drinking prime energy in plastic lined aluminum cans.
Guess what? You've been dying since the moment your whore mother shot you from her filthy snatch. Try to enjoy yourself a little before you inevitably kick it you boring faggot.
Eat the cat, wtf do you have a cat for?
Cats are worthless, disgusting, smelly creatures
My cat is clean and my house smells fine.
It doesn't, I promise you that. Youre a faggot.
I got saddled with a cat for about a year. Couldn't give that disgusting thing away.
Kept letting it out though, finally it stayed gone, thank goodness.
Any man that willingly has a cat, is a faggot.
Don't most Canadians make 30 bucks an hour anyway, so that's like what 45 minutes of work?
Pretty steep price ngl
bought online through a delivery service
you fucking maple niggers make us all sick xD
I don't drink that shit either.
Coffee, black. And distilled water. Stop coping troon.
Eat the cat, wtf do you have a cat for?
Cats are worthless, disgusting, smelly creatures
They kill bugs and rodents - it's obvious you don't own a house or property.
They're $4.50 here, i buy like 20 of them only when they're half price, no soup during the summer when they don't go on special.
Got a stockpile of like 100 tins.
You don't have a barn fat fuck, stop lying. I'm not a disgusting poo that can't keep his house clean like you. Wtf would I NEED a cat for?
make 30 bucks an hour anyway
after taxes that's under $20
he doesn't live in the country side
lmao stay poor lad
I’m not poor so I don’t pay attention to my grocery bill.
I am starting to notice
4.50 in Australia monies or did you convert it to God's units before you made that post?
Because if its in Australia monies, holy fuck thats great! That's like 10 cents in real money or some shit. IDK. I'm just busting your chops Bruce. But, did you convert it first?
You can cut this in half if you knew how to shop, beer isn't groceries, buy no name pasta, look for deals on chicken, make your own sauce and soups.
Its not that hard.
It's probably about the same, $3 in burgerbucks.
How does this compare to grocery prices in your country?
I get my slop almost exclusively from wal mart, so most of this is their Great Value brand unless otherwise specified
barilla brand penne - $1.84
alfredo sauce - $1.82
boneless, skinless chicken breast - $2.67/lb or $3.80 for the amount pictured.
chewy 'nola bars - $4 per box
campbell's brand soups - $2.48 per can
Total - $20.42
I would also save another 15% by buying great value penne and soups.
Who said I didn't?
But again, you DON'T have a barn poo.
I don't either, but never claimed or implied. If I did, I would have cats, probably two or three. They woukd stay the fuck out of my house though.
Find one dead, id get another one. Fuck taking care of them, eat what you catch. Cant catch shit, youre wothless into the compost heap you go.
Not like they aren't fucking free and stupid easy to obtain.
Heck, id probably even get a couple just for chew toys for my dogs.
There's a beer here called sneaky weasle its 5.6% and like 1.60 a tall can, and tastes great.
Buy whole chickens. You are paying more for them to cut it for you. Its been awhile but it was around $20 for two whole chickens. Bones can be used for soup stock.
tl;dr: of course you like mutt dogs you whitetrash poor nigger
3 chicken breasts
600g / 4 pc chicken breast: 6,90€
Jar of Alfredo sauce
couldn't find alfredo so I substitute with regular pasta sauce, Barilla: 2,39€
1 box of pasta which was on sale
box of Penne, Barilla: 1,85€
6 pack of beer
6-pack 33cl cans of my favorite basic bitch lager: 9,78€ 4,2% / 13,50€ 5,3%
2 cans of soup (on sale)
don't have these so I substitute with two 550ml packages of soup (both beef and chicken): 8€
2 boxes of granola bars (on sale)
2 boxes so 20 pieces of granola bars: 7,10€
36 yuros so 56 CAD if you choose the lighter beer. Alcohol is very expensive here and those soups are just overpriced considering how cheap it is to make yourself.
I kind of hate these ragebaity posts because it's difficult to compare products and portion sizes internationally for one and the price discrepancy between two neighboring supermarkets with individual items can be absurd.
But yeah, inflation is fucking real. A McDonald's Cheeseburger still costed €1.00 in 2012
Today, only 13 years later, it costs €2.69
That corresponds to 8% inflation. Checking across the board I found several products indicating individual annual inflation of 6-8% over the past 5-10 years.
Anyway, let me give you my best shot
6-pack of 500 ml Bavarian PREMIUM beer in GLASS FUCKING BOTTLES= €6.19
2x 6 pc. boxes of CORNY Granola bars (2x150g translated into 2x170g) = €5.87
Barilla Penne (500 g translated into 410g) = € 1.22 (Barilla is overpriced, considered low quality pasta by Italians btw)
2x Overpriced Campbell's soups = 2x €4.89
Bertolli overpriced Alfredo Garlic pasta sauce = €8.99
0.65 kg of Chicken Breast at Rewe = €9.02
In sum, that's about €40.00 in total which equates to C$62.50 or US$ 45.40
Anyhow, if you can't buy expensive brand products because of government waste and Bidenomics, maybe switch to alternative, cheaper brands or learn to make your own pasta sauce?
Captcha: N0PM8
Bottles
Cheaper than cans
On alcohol of all things
In Canada of all places
You have no fucking clue, bud.
12 bottles for 10 dollars here
In Nova Scotia you can't get a 6 pack for less than 15 dollars. A 12 pack of bottles (Budweiser, a cheap and shitty slop beer) is 32 dollars. If you want a beer that is more enjoyable to drink, you're over 35. For reference, a dozen Corona or Stella is 37 and those aren't even great beers.
Keep in mind as well this is the cheapest price you can get these items in the province unless you're buying them stolen
Depends.
I found chicken noodle Chunky soups marked down to $1.25 and similar pasta for $1.
Keep coping shitskin.
Oh gawd!
boneless, skinless chicken breast - $2.67/lb
i can buy the whole fucking chicken for this price.
Imagine eating dead animals.
I’m very curious to see how the leaf standard of living declines this year.
Tariffs are going to bring hell.
Jeets taking their toll.
New commie president.
No way Canada survives this shit. That commie is gonna bring new waves of jeets by the millions.
2025
still doing the whole jewish humiliation ritual of going to the liquor store
not just brewing your own
I hope you know you can make stuff way better than cheap piss beer for a fraction of the cost. All you need is patience and good process.
Everyone is either in massive credit card debt or barely making it paycheck to paycheck with zero chance for savings. If prices alone, not including rent, go up another 10-15% a huge demographic of people will literally no longer be able to afford food and will have to decide between eating or rent. When rent goes up alongside this that is when things get interesting. Most if not all cities are liberal policy havens though so I expect increased looting of shops while tenants transition into illegal squatters with said liberal policies preventing evictions. It will probably look like NYC in the 70s in Toronto. Good things guns and all manner of self defense is banned though eh
Leafs are basically hardened to poverty at this point. It's been like 20+ years of declining living standards. Life is better this way, it's less complicated.
What’s the weight? Meats are sold by weight, not number.
Seriously, going by chicken breast is weird.
It's 1.4lbs.
that's $35 american
I've seen supposed Canadians comment that it will get harder, but aren't specific.
Maybe $100 here if you were shopping at woolies
you dont know how to grocery
buy only processed slop
beer literally not food and degenerate
a fucking leaf!
The madness continues
$13/$50
granola bars

you can make all of that shit at home retard, except the chicken unless you can keep chickens somewhere
I swear anons are retarded kids
why does everything have some gay name and packaging in canada
Dairyland
pink
Feeling so faithless, lost under the surface.
Holy fuck bros prices like this are the leading cause of MAID applications.
In Nova Scotia.
The cross border shopping debate and it's consequences is a hilarious micro political issue that just shows that Nova Scotians would rather everyone suffer equally and point at the "people who can afford to drive to Moncton" as the problem instead of addressing the issue.
