No state has an inherent right to exist. What makes Israel unique is that it was conquered very recently and conquest is not even the right word. When you consider America, the story is clear. Anglos came killed and took the place. With Israel however, the Jews in Europe worked for a century lobbying and gaining power in the West culminating in the Balfour declaration which coincided with WW1. So the Israelis never conquered Israel but the British did from the Turks. Then the British failed to hold onto the region resulting in the partition. It's all quite murky, ugly and confusing. Nevertheless, Israelis did fight multiple wars against their neighbours and won which checks the box for me.

Even if you have issues with Israel or Jewish elites, it doesn’t affect most ordinary people. Maybe they shouldn't have founded Israel where it is now. A holy scripture is not a land title, plus many of the palestians living there were descendants of the Jews who remained there after they were kicked out by the Romans.
Maybe if they had founded it in less disputed lands and had used the resources they needed for the army to improve said lands, it might be as wealthy as it is now.
