I worked in prothesis manufacturing. Pretty much every time people get prescribed pills it just makes everything worse and worse until they die. And no one notices or cares. No one has ever in history hopped on 20 different brain altering chemicals and ended up better or cured. Once you're on the pill ride you are going straight to the grave.
There are very few real issues that can be solved with medicine and it's the most obvious ones like diabetics needing their insulin, people in pain needing their pain pills, vitamin deficiency fixed with vitamin supplements.
