Let's say that there is an almighty god who created this universe. Why would this almighty being care whether we puny humans worship him or not?

If humans created an alternate universe, would we want the people in that universe to worship us? Obviously not, we would just want to observe how they develop.

If one has the intellect to create a world, surely one would not have the ego to want the people in said created world to worship their creator.

The higher the intellect, the less need for validation and worship. A supernatural creator would not beg for validation from mere humans, nor would he intervene in their puny universe.
