This is new anti-drone Yak-52

This is new anti-drone Yak-52

wow, glad they put that huge fucking watermark on the pic. otherwise the holhols might steal the image and claim that shitbox as their own

warthunder drone-shooting missions when?

How does this work?

This is anti-drone drone

Looks like some ORC-tech shit, but if it works, it works.

And of course the main unit of anti-drone tech

Fucking hipsters, that thing belongs in a museum

A hawk would be far more efficient

function over form

absolutely baZed

that donkey is going to get cancer

kino

That's against high-alt heavy drones. Medium drones have been fencing with sticks and nets for a while already.

this,
they should give him tinfoil hat instead of helmet

ORC-tech shit

But when hohols use it you marvel at their innovation?

No, it still looks like orc-tech, stop putting words into my mouth. As I said, if it works, it works.

fr?

looks like a ww2 era plane

Props even on a toy drone will cut up the hawks legs.

Many Yaks are still airworthy and flown by vintage plane enthusiasts today.

The Ukrainians had a pre-war economy and military comparable to an African nation, so it makes sense to be impressed when they develop some kind of Ork tech using scraps and parts.
Russia is supposed to have the second largest and most advanced military in the world with state-of-the-art weapons systems and technology, so seeing them behave like African warlords is embarrassing.

When your child brings you a macaroni sculpture, you're impressed. When your 38 year old investment banker son brings you a macaroni picture you get worried.

And when a frog offers a great deal on Rafales you should walk away.

Is a prop plane better than just using a helicopter?

You can give jeets, any newest high-tech jet, it would be the same wreck at the end of the day.

Jeets can't even drive cars.

Good question and its a firm yes when it comes to flight time/maintenance. A helicopter will always have more maintenance time per hour flown than a fixed wing.

still have to shoot it going 300+mph

miniature zeppelins with anti-drone tech would be funnier and maybe more effective

Don't worry I'll go grab one of the free F-18s sitting in the bottom of the Red Sea.

Those pilots and ground crews have been deployed longer than a usual rotation. Complacency kills.

since the afghan debacles you muts should shut the fuck up.

More like competency crisis and latinx-negroid crew.

youtu.be/AEx5Xv7csAU
Is it remote controlled, or do you just hire a bunch of Churkas to get the job done?

Oh look, worthless EU nations with opinions.

They've lost fewer planes than you have in the last 6 months.

Askhually niggers and latinx are great pilots and army men

We did it goyim, we owned libturds

It's just a three day military operation, what's the worst that could happen?

only a year later

meatwall tactics

You guys are currently the most embarrasing major Eurasian country I think I've ever seen.

We do more air ops in three days than the entire EU in a month. Of course errors are magnified.

Slovakian military = 19k active personnel

Slovak Air Force = 5 F-16's with 9 on order.

Yikes.

ukraine has been a proxy of the US MIC since 2014 retard

We did it reddit we proved that Serbia has xyz military personel, that's why niggers and latinx are great army men!

And the Houthis have no economy and yet they defeated 2 CSG. Maybe one day you'll realisez that imaginary jewish numbers translate very poorly in the real world, especially when it comes to make weapons (well weapons that actually works)

meatwall tactics

hohols will film themselves committing war crimes and post it to their own twitter accounts but have never once taken even a still image of the 'meatwaves' that didn't turn out to be just dead hohols, no video of course

When the North Koreans attacked in a line of 25 men the hohols said they knew they weren't Russian because Russians don't attack in such large numbers, don't walk forward in lines, don't advance through fire and retreat when they take casualties. There was also film of it from start to finish, you absolute fucking pea-brained cretin

Ukraine lost an F-16 and the pilot they were using as a propaganda figurehead shooting drones, so this is a reasonable cost cutting move.

The hohols had received 9 years of support from NATO and were the best armed and largest military in Europe at that point you slug-eating retard. If you had two brain cells that were able to contemplate anything other than garlic-slathered nigger dick you would realise that neither is using such planes out of necessity but because it is the best platform to slowly patrol and interdict slow-flying and loitering drones and the reason that they aren't used by NATO is because they are far too cheap to run and so can't demand higher budgets

poor donkey :(

He looks like he's tired of war.

hit n missed

Wing and tail design is post-war.

Standard flight training aircraft are mostly early post-war designs.
This is Yak-18 trainer introduced 1946

which African nation was on top10 arms exporters list?

Yeah and Adolf 'Bandera' Zelensky has been bombing Donbabwean children for the glory of the Anglo-Saxons.

just fly over an enemy drone with some strings hanging from your drone.

Lower drone's props will suck in the strings and tangle, and pull them off the weak tape attachment. Your drone can look down but his probably can't look up.

Your drone can be higher performance because its closer to base.

Plus their drone just does hard landing near you, so you can salvage it.

What an absolute beauty.

They already do that, there's probably a video in the /chug/ OP. Hilarious how these drone battles straight out of that one COD game ended up with sticks and ropes as optimal weapons.

Flying your own copter requires piloting skill, gear and time. While these ground-to-air drones are fire-and-done, and they have AI-targeting. The only problem is that they are considerably more expensive than a regular copter.

pretty cool, prop planes are neat. But im pretty sure they are easy prey for stingers, iglas and the rest. Oh well !

The plane is to hunt plane-sized drones over your own territory.

i thought that rocket was pointed at him and was going to explode him looney tunes style

So we got the Russian counterpart to the super tucano?

hit n missed

the enemy drone blew up into a million pieces, were you expecting it to fall down like a helicopter?

Looks expensive. Why can't these useless fuckers just learn to shoot

Factual statement.

just shoot the tiny zig zagging drone in the sky 300m away bro

Stop making us all look retarded

Tfw you will never shoot at drones with your trusty rifle from an old propeller plane

That was cool, I bet the guy who invented it is knee deep in whores and vodka.

Unfortunately all those are just enthusiasts concepts. It took the brass almost 3 years to acknowledge even the most common drones, which had been used by everyone and their dog by that time.

it costs 1800$ a pop not that expensive

Britain in talks with Ukraine to deliver Blackburn Roc B-25 fighter planes with rear facing turret.

These are cool. There is no warhead. It's a kinetic impactor. They're already being tested on the front. Already seen videos of them taking down drones. Seems waaaaay cheaper than any kind of conventional air defense missile.

The issue here is that it's very very difficult to hit a target like this. Early dogfights in WWI were like this. People in aircraft shooting at each other with handguns and rifles. It didn't really work. That's why they switched to fixed guns firing forward and aimed by pointing the whole aircraft where you want to shoot.

I do think that a lightweight piston powered aircraft with some fixed low caliber machine guns makes sense for shooting down drones well inside your own lines. The issue is it would have to be a brand new build. I don't think anyone has built an interrupter gear to shoot through the propellers since WWII. But yeah. I don't see why a primary trainer with two 7.62mm machine guns firing through the propeller couldn't take down shahed style drones or those drones that Ukraine makes that are built from light sports aircraft. This kind of anti-drone interceptor would never fight at the front lines, it would only fight the heavier drones attacking cities and stuff like that. Don't know why it wouldn't work.

I remember reading that during the very beginning of WWII turret fighters like the Boulton Paul Defiant actually did pretty well against German fighters. But the Germans quickly developed tactics to counter them, after which the turret fighters suffered horrible losses and became a historical footnote for "ideas that didn't work". But yeah. If a modern turret fighter had an IR/Optical/Radar/AI guided turret or something like that it might be an economical way to take down heavier drones. I suppose this might be a better idea than a fighter with fixed guns. Ukraine has (allegedly) lost several F-16s that were shooting down Gerans and either crashed into them or destroyed them and then flew through the debris cloud, destroying their engines. With a turret fighter you'd never fly through the debris cloud of an exploded drone. You'd always be off to one side. I like the idea.

HATO is loosening to this

If you're going to fly something on props to shoot down drones, why not have the guns on turrets?

Get off of Anon Babble Macron, you're supposed to be leading a nation.
