They are expected to sacrifice everything in the name of anti-racism, anti-colonialism etc, so when they see someone else who isn't expected to make the same sacrifices it feels unfair. There's also just basic human nature. Show any teenager some pictures of israel and some pictures of gaza and ask them which one is oppressing the other and they will all say isreal is the oppressor.
