Trump Tariffs

Scientifically explain why we can't bring manufacturing back to America. I keep hearing news sources talk about how it's impossible.

Dunno anon the american bicycle makers started aero aeronautics

They sere pioneers and inventors moved by a creativity not seen b4

This people colapse if the mocca is hot

It makes the chinese and indian troll farms very angery.

Fun fact: The bios backup watch battery will explode if heated with a soldering iron, if you can somehow handle the soldering iron burning your fucking hand from holding it like that

Price of American labour would make all but the highest quality manufacturing economically untenable, or require the reduction of wages to third world levels/the importation of subhumans to staff much of the industries, defeating the whole purpose. That's my understanding.

Scientifically explain why we can't bring manufacturing back to America.

You of course CAN.
You make it too expensive to operate over seas.
They come home.
Simple as.

Trump seems to have cucked out tho.

It would cost things and people are soft

such a lie.
just globohomos could profit to the tune of BILLIONS they pay no tax on.

We can bring it back, it's technically trivial. The problem is the capital gatekeepers block all investment in the solutions because it would derail their gravy trains + eliminate the power of big tech. So our fate is decided by the path of the most greed and power.

This is false, people who spout this shit don't even remotely understand the underlying problem.

such a lie.

Where specifically? Free trade killed a bunch of small businesses in the west cause the east nigh-on enslaves their people, or those people can afford to/will just work for peanuts. I'm not trying to justify anything, I want to see where, if anywhere, I got this wrong.

Scientifically explain why we can't bring manufacturing back to America

We can and should

I keep hearing news sources talk about how it's impossible

Why are you listening to them lol? skill issue

nobody called it out yet

either everyone is new or everyone is old

yes

Them problem is no one will make an iphone for $2 a day here, except illegals.

Supply chains. We'd basically need to make a dozen different factories and connect them all with trains, trucks, and boats before even getting a single car tire out of manufacturing. Establishing an industry takes years and the Tariffs were supposed to start in Months. If Trump said "We will start with a 2% tariff on manufactured goods this year which will increase every year for the next 10 years" then there wouldn't be a problem. We'd have time to create that industry rather than spending years just eating high tariffs.

Ofc is not impossible. Anything is possible in a country that has as much food as you want, as much energy as you want, all the mineral resources and all the money for investment.
Neoliberalism just fucked it all up, but the potential is still there.

Jews.
Making things in america would lower the proffit margins of shareholders. And this is like a second holocaust.
Don't mind that america can't produce weappons anymore like they did in wwii. Who cares if the world decides to use dolar and the US living standarts implode because 60% of the country live out of money printing policies and most americans have bullshit jobs that are not even real and use debt as currency.

highest quality manufacturing economically untenable

High quality, kek. Buy from china is you want quality, were all about doing shit half assed and charging 10x the price here.

It's not about the cost. You're thinking like a jew. Cost isn't even the root cause of the problem because people are so fucking retarded they can't see past designing shit to maximize profit.

Okay? That doesn't seem to trouble my point at all.

lol, female actor, holding soldering iron by the tip ... on a board with components wayyyyy to small for that tip.

I think we already make tires locally. Electronics is a big one that we cannot do here. We do not have a capacitor or film resistor factory anywhere in the US. That is all 100% imported from china. We have some IC logic chips, but that is it. Basically just TI in Texas.

Are you implying a staged pic? That's crazy:)

Just the usual lefttard-loser logic. Since they're too lazy and dumb to do anything, they assume normal people can't, either.

high living cost > high salaries > high manufacturing cost > expensive manufactures

because besides Elon Musk americans are completely useless government employees and middlemen

1 - US labor and regulatory costs are too high.
2 - the American dollar is too high
3 - technological advances of automation, robotics and A.I.
4- America lacks the economies of scale for a manufacture based economy. (See 4)
5 - the supply chain for raw materials and components are all overseas, so transport costs are too high.
6 - America’s wider economy has transitioned to a high education, high added value, service based economy the is more economically productive and efficient and future proofed, which 2nd world countries can’t compete with.

If America does build more factories, CEOs etc will make sure they’re automated, not just robotic but also A.I. etc to future proof the massive costs of investment and construction and relocation. The problem is for decades everyone, except for red state conservatives, have been telling kids to get educated. But red state conservative hate that because they still need poor dumb whites and niggers to dig coal and drill oil and slaughter chieckens and other low iq jobs. Everyone with education does just fine; move to the cities and use brains not brawn, or get a union ticket and a good tradie gig. The idea that numerous factory jobs will ever return for old “working class” is a myth, and declining proposition, given technological advances and the nature of capitalism.

you can just not how trump does it. what you want to bring shit back to the USA is use key partners to buy the machines to bring manufacturing back. Ukrainian war made all the German chemical companies move to loousiana to produce chems.

Trump basically caused instability cause the nigger can't decide to stick to tariffs or not.
one day no tariffs the next day small tariffs and the next day 4 times the cost in tariffs.
this will slow down reinvestment.

Now back to machinery used in industry. the correct way is to just buy from else where japan and Germany for example and ship it to the USA. Trump basically alienated everyone so that became more expansive and thus slower.

Everyone was gonna move to the USA anyways because europe and asia are aging fast, and thus become exporters countries, and they need some one to buy and that is the USA, a simple division of china/russia vs select partner tariffs would been a better move.

lol, female actor, holding soldering iron by the tip ... on a board with components wayyyyy to small for that tip.

Not by the tip, by the heating element. That is not an electronics iron. She is holding it correctly for a electronics iron, though, might be legit hand solderer given wrong props. No ESD smock either, and has jewelry on. Looks like an office lady.

how it's impossible.

It's not. Jews are the problem and don't want White Americans to be in the 1920-1950s mindset ever again

The country that has the highest labor costs in your chart is the only developed nation that actually has a solid manufacturing base. Make it make sense

Make it make sense

Everything european is more expensive than domestic. Prove me wrong.

their living cost is lower. they don't sell 3 bedroom cardboard sheds for $500k

America was rich before we imported manufactured goods, and we will be rich again if we stop.

I have a wardrobe that was built in 1871. It will last me my whole life and presumably the next generations lives easily. You buy cheap particle board ikea dressers. Now tell me, how expensive is the manufacturing when you factor in that things last much longer when you're not in a throw away culture

Forgot to add, the other point in the supply chain is “just in time” logistics and efficiencies. Building a factory in the US doesn’t make sense with it takes a month to get your overseas components/raw materials, companies don’t want inventory on the books, or the risk or market change or slower retooling etc.

Companies pay for health care and social services and wellbeing which leads to higher productivity. Look at any productivity charts.

So they just have lower costs of living, but are being paid more for their labor than over here? Why?

Someone's marrying that dipshit.

you must not be holding it from the bottom

Tires

Probably. I was just using an example

Chips.

Less so in recent years. China's saber rattling raised a panic about Semiconductors so Silicon Valley broke into the market.

people without genitals can't work

I hope this helped you to know main reason why US will never be great again.

There's a resistor manufacturer 15 mins from my home.

What the fuck really is going on? Am I supposed to play along with this shit for another 6 months? Another 7 years? I AM NOT GOING TO DO THIS, FUCK YOU. I find this fucking insulting at this point, give me a date or fuck off. How the fuck do you think I'm going to react?

This is just disrespectful and annoying at this point, as far as I'm concerned. I am not in the fucking mood for it.

Scientifically explain why we can't bring manufacturing back to America.

Ignore everybody who tells you this, they say americans are too lazy to actually work for a living, they tell you americans will just unionize and make everything go to shit.

Of course this is true, but briging manufacturing back to america means using robots, not useless american workers

The Iphone is made of $998 worth of materials

There's a resistor manufacturer 15 mins from my home.

Company name?

higher wages increases the spending power of the working class, which means they can afford higher prices for the items they manufacture

If A) one catches up the other fast enough, or rather people believe it will enough so to invest and, B) enough people don't just buy the same quality cheaper elsewhere, as they currently do. Ideally government patriotically kickstarting its nation's industries may help with A), but I am not an idealistic man in this respect.

Where are they getting the money to increase wages? Increase in product price? So wages need to go up again to afford the increase in product price? Then we increase product price to afford the wages? Do you see the loop that makes?

I long forgot the name. You're right to be skeptical though, I had no fucking idea we made any electronic components like that in the US. Honestly though I don't even know if that place is still there, so it's possible they went out of business. This was 10 years ago.

wow it's almost like she was just a model hired to shoot some stock photos and was just doing what she was told.

this might blow your mind but there are women who know how to solder. but I get it, you have to get mad online about a stock photo to own the libs.

It's OK, the soldering iron isn't plugged in. The model won't hurt her hand.

wow it's almost like she was just a model hired to shoot some stock photos

Almost. ALMOST. But it's in fact like women are fucking stupid and belong in the home raising children and retaining/developing/passing on traditional domestic knowledge, not stealing men's jobs through D.I.E. initiatives and fucking up civilization. You were close, though.

I worked for an electronics company making missile parts for three years, they bought everything they could that was american. Never seen anything USA origin besides the ICs. This could be through hole resistor factory, all i've done was SMT.

stock photo to own the libs.

He called a woman an actor and not tress, dudes a libtard, you dumb libtard. At least recognize your own people.

there is no good reason other than fear from competitors who have very much to lose, including not only their biggest customer base but also potentially others

kek, you think iphones are sold at cost. You have no idea how manufacturing works.

Defend on what kind of manufacturing. Labor heavy, low skilled manufacturing like those used to make chink junks are certainly very difficult to move to America. High skilled and technical manufacturing like chips and precision manufacturing is possible like what you are doing currently with TSMC

You could in 10 years but it won’t happen because Trump doesn’t believe in free education, unless they intend to import 100 million Indians

You could in 10 years but it won’t happen because Trump doesn’t believe in free education, unless they intend to import 100 million Indians

What kind of retard thinks melting solder requires university? What kind of retard thinks indians breaking rocks needed a deploma?

Because Millennials onward have been conditioned to work meme jobs and look down on blue collar work.

Does this woman have Kryptonian skin or is this a "Stock Photos of Women Working" thing?

For those who have never soldered, she's holding the hot part.
