The semi truck was descending a steep mountain, the truck was overloaded and the driver didn't down shift in time because he couldn't read the signs indicating a steep grade ahead.
He also didn't use the 3 available runaway truck ramps that were posted on the side of the road.
He ended up crashing into something like 11 vehicles and killing a few people.

There's endless situations I could dream up where not being able to communicate could cause loss of life.
Driving a truck is a skill that requires at least some brain power and experience.
A lot of these venezuelans and guatamalans lack the required amount of brain cells even if they do speak some English. To them, trucking is just a way to make money so they can send it back home and live wealthy after they're done fucking up lives and investments in the US.

I'm a freight broker; I am the scummy middleman between driver/dispatchers & the client shipping the cargo. Non-english speaking drivers are such a massive liability. I feel so much better when I can articulate set/agreed-upon standards for pickup cutoff times, delivery conditions, expectations from the driver as far as securing the load, describing dimensionality, operability of machinery, etc. When I have a dispatcher named Aleks and a driver name Ruskhov, I always have to hope and pray that once I send the dispatch info, the dispatcher WILL in fact call before arrival, that the driver WILL know how to read the fucking address I sent him, and if there is ANY issue, they wont try and solve it themselves (retardedly, and causing MORE issues for the client), and instead give me a shout to troubleshoot/fix the issue with the client. Clients don't know how to speak to drivers, and drivers don't know shit about customer service. A lot of the eastern euro guys simply do not give a single flying fuck about your load, the time-sensitivites, anything beyond "i pick up load now" and "i drop load now, give payment please". I honestly couldnt give a fuck where they are from, but to be able to communicate in LOGISITICS is so so super critical for smooth operations. Any time a single stop goes off track, it sets a domino-effect in motion causing delays at each additional stop. Customer service is so critical, because SHIT HAPPENS. but if you cannot effectively convey that to the client, they will not be happy, will not be so eager to ship again, etc... Im all for this rule change. It's going to cause some contractions in driver availability, and the drivers will charge more money, but long term it's a well-overdue issue to address and i think this is the right move by this admin. I hope it sticks.

Fun fact when I lived up north in the midwest for a brief stint I regularly visited a loves truck stop. This was 2021-2022.

About 85% of all the truckers going into the truckstop were ethnic indians, blacks, mexican or some other sort of brown. I think I maybe saw a couple whites and they were all 40-50+ year old boomers. I maybe saw 2 that were in their 30's.

I would guess at least 50% of americas entire trucking force is all pajeets, mexicans and africans.

Just a week ago on may the 10th where I live rurally in utah, there's a two lane highway.

Sign says no passing for next 2 miles. Guess what a trucker passed and tried to overtake, slammed head first into two cars. Don't know the death toll but it was blocked off for like 8 hours and the cop blocking the highway access said it was 2 cars and a trucker and said it was a bad accident with fatality.

Don't know how many died but I can guarantee this was an indian or shitskin driver. So some innocent people lost their lives to a shitskin trucker probably and this happens all the time in america.
