If I remember correctly the Romanian administration used Bulgarian language up until the XVII century. I think the current Romanian language was sort of artificially created to prevent the union between our people. It is the only way to distinguish a Bulgarian from a Romanian now. If we are both speaking in English there is absolutely no difference between us.
