I used to buy game releases at 3 in the morning when no one was around and it was tolerable. But I can see being forced to go to Walmart because there is nothing else around or nothing is open at 2 in the morning. There are towns that have banned Walmart I want to retire in one.

It makes complete sense to hate Walmart and wish it didn't exist while continuing to shop there; what good does it do if I myself inflict higher prices on myself because I hate Walmart if everyone else keeps shopping there? It's like the idea that if Bernie Sanders wants higher taxes on the rich, he should lead by example and donate money to the government... It makes no sense to do that on an individual basis and nobody else is gonna do it, so why the fuck do it? Doesn't mean there's any inconsistency there if what he wants is for the law to force wealthy people to pay more in taxes because then everyone has to do it. Same way I'll keep hating Walmart but I'll shop there anyways because I'm not made of money and it's easily the cheapest grocery option around here, but would be perfectly happy to see them collapse as a company. If you're single and want groceries for yourself just go to Trader Joe's or Aldi's. You pay almost the same and your food will be higher quality. If you have a family just go to Costco or look for a Grocery Outlet. With Costco you'll get more bang for you buck without the added hassle of having to navigate through entire families of beaners or packs of feral niggers with pitbulls who shit in store. With the grocery outlet you'll still deal with the above but in less quantities since most of them don't know these type of stores exist and you'll have the added benefit of getting expensive products for a quarter of the price.

Being a five minute drive away, and despite all their products being lowest quality dogshit around. It is actually cheaper. What you save in money will ruin your mental health from consuming their crap

Many moons ago, small towns all over the nation had their own small shops, maybe some regional chains like a super market. But then the Wal-Mart Corporation came and the world was changed forever. First the small shops around the area went away. Their customers would rather have wider selection at a cheaper price. That local electronic store? Gone. The Toy Shop? Gone. Replaced by the Wal-Mart. The chains dared to hold out, to not move out of the way sooner. The Wal-Mart took this challenge seriously, the drove their prices so low that they lost money on each item sold. The silly consumers who resisted the call of The Wal-Mart soon to fell and entered the aisle.
Before people knew it, the only place to shop was Wal-Mart and gas stations.

To be fair Walmart is just better than all the current options for somethings. They have a lot of money & do a good job using it to their advantage. Walmart was way ahead of all its competitors with online shopping, years before Covid.
Even if you find a local store with equivalent prices to Walmart, Walmart will bring most non-perishables to your front door for free as long as you buy a minimum of $35. So that's an immediate savings of not buying gas or putting miles on your car.

this is merely a rural hick issue. there are like 20+ different grocery stores in my area that are not walshart or any dollar store bullshit. grocery stores that include Costco/walshart+(Sam's), large chains (kroger/aldi/whole foods,trader joes), small regional stores (pete's market) and mom and pop farmers markets with even more specialty grocery stores that carry european, korean, chinese, and arab imported goods.
there is zero reason to shop at goyslop central with subhumans unless of course you are one of those subhumans.

I like Walmart and only shop at Walmart. It's one of the few places that sells American made goods. Walmart doesn't price-gouge Chinese goods like the average american middleman either.

I used to avoid Walmart whenever I could until like 2014-15 I did all my Christmas shopping on Amazon, which I had been trying to avoid because of their dirty business practices. That year I found something I hated more than Walmart, sure they shopping was so easy, too easy really. Everything I bought felt so cheap I knew if I had picked any of it up at an actual store I wouldn’t have bought it. The last thing to convince me was learning that Walmart had become one of the top three employers in almost every county in the country, so at least I know shopping there supports the local community to some degree. It’s not much but at least it’s something.
