I tend to be against "isms" period. I see it as a re-emergence of religious thinking. In the past you had a bunch of gods to explain complex phenomena like weather etc. Now you have a pantheon of "isms" to explain complex phenomena like economics. Capitalism/Socialism causes X to happen because it wants to prevent Socialism/Capitalism etc from doing Y feels a lot more like Poseidon causes X to happen because he wants to prevent Zeus doing Y than it does a real explanation. When your "isms" become disembodied cosmic forces that cause things to happen rather than mechanistic descriptions of why things happen then I tend to lose interest.

I have never seen a single example of "capitalism" collapsing. To me "collapse" is basically synonymous with "decay" in physics. A neutron decays into a proton.
