Growing up in a cult might make you smarter (depending on how disciplined their theology is) but it also makes you strangely vulnerable to the collective mindest. While other kids were screwing around you might have been learning theology, symbolism, and how to stand apart but if you ever escape you wind up falling for another one very easily since you likely will only ever find purpose by feeling like you are a small part of a larger whole.
