If you drink tea in front of an American, you could feel he instantly becomes tense as if you are doing an extremely dangerous thing. What caused this?
Average Americans are so scared of tea drinking
green tea consumption is the reason asian eyes are so small and buggy
You know the south drinks tea quite heavily, right? Especially during the summer months...
Good question. I have noticed the same but had taken it for their normal state.
I find it advantageous to bring an electric kettle and a large box of PG-Tips on American trips as their tea and tea making is so poor.
jewish thread
The neurosis of a foreigner thinking Americans care about anything a foreigner is or does.
you mean the lards in tex-ass drink tea flavoured corn syrup and sugar water?
"us vs them" spam thread. right from the factory.
Rightly so. We should have intervend in your "civil war". Would have been better for us to have two Americas.
You know we drink sweet tea down here all the time right? It's bad for you but damn it's good.
It's China or Israel. Probably China. Applying bug spray.
we
Are there any real British left though? You've all been replaced.
them and us
Awww.
Even the EU has very poor tee culture when it comes to drinking the actual (chineese) tea. Anglos drink a literal cow piss imported from jeets. If you want to know what tea should really taste like, you have to order from China directly
Please, if youve got a minute, explain your suspicion of China as board spammers. I can explain why i do NOT think its China. This board allows a robust counter-culture movement within White European populations, which is ideal for a US competitor like China.
I like strong black tea over ice. Warm tea is gross.
coffee is the drink for Americans
tea is for weak people
We don't like being in close proximity to faggots
One or two. Will post self portrait for verification purposes.
yo do know tea is the drug that the chinese used to get all their silver back from the rothschilds after they stole all their silver with opium, right?
This.
I mostly drink White Tea, and I can feel the White Power from it.
Not all of us are fat slobs. I drink tea every single day. Earl grey tea every evening. Yerba mate, green tea, black tea, blue tea, pu-erh tea, chai tea, Indian, Chinese, Mexican, Peruvian, Chilean tea... So, lots.
This as well. Most American tea brands blow ass. Celestial Seasonings, Harney & Sons, Lipton, Tazo, The Republic of Tea.
I'm almost a snob about tea. I buy my own bulk leaves and brew it myself... It's just not the same.
We literally have thousands of types of tea from hundreds of different countries available. I'm even considering going into the business myself.
Two way trade is a good thing. I am not sure of the merits of the caffeine Jew but trading it makes sense. Makes for mutual purchasing power.
Coffee in America tastes like sewage. I want to buy better coffee, but it seems like there isn't any here.
it wasn't mutual trade it was a drug war you fucking retarded cunt
What are you talking about? I drink tea all the time.
Sweet tea, hot tea with nothing added. Green, black, oolong, Russian Caravan, and more.
The thing that REALLY blows the European's mind is that most American's don't have an electric kettle despite it being invented here.
Tea increases your risk of metastatic cancer btw
There's white tea
Ever think about seeing a psychiatrist?
Russian Caravan
I'll buy some of this today. It seems interesting.
I love Anon Babble. More engaging conversation here than on any other type of media format.
What caused this?
fluoridated water
Lowers. Hot drinks in general raise your risk of metastatic cancer. Not tea, in particular.
Tea might make a comeback with proper guidance...
Tea in particular, especially green tea.
Think it has to do with antioxidants protecting cancer cells as well
That's probably true. I use distilled to brew most of my tea. Sometimes, for some varieties, filtered is better because the minerals in the water cause the caffeine to bind with the tannins better.
I just drink coffee, like a macho, not some faggy tea that doesn't hype me up
Usually, it's brewed incorrectly, so the caffeine content is off.
8 O'clock coffee.
Affordable, readily available, knows proper roasting levels.
Gevalia
A slight but noticeable increase in overall quality from 8 O'clock. Nothing mind blowing in terms of difference but it's there.
Brands to avoid
Maxwell House
Starbucks (avoid like the plague they burn 100% of their beans)
Most "fancy brands" (a lot like Starbucks they suck at roasting)
Chock Full O Nuts
Anything marked as "espresso" because they just use burnt beans (exception goes to 8 O'clock).
Decent enough stuff
Dunkin Donuts
McCafe (which is surprising)
Still, just get 8 O'clock it's good coffee.
tea has caffeine? like which for example?
Only women drink tea.
Don't get any that is smoked with pine. Shits like drinking campfire ash, it's smoke flavor is just overpowering instead of complimenting the tea flavor.
Earl grey does. Most black and green tea. In fact, almost all tea does. Even white tea.
Listen, Americans. Right now my country might be in a dire state - it might never recover - but if/when it does, you will pay for what you did to that tea.
Right now you think the Jews are bad, you think kissing the Israeli ring is a tough pill to swallow, but we will avenge what you did in that harbour.
One day, EVER LEAF of the tea that you mercilessly dropped into that harbour will have its retribution. Every fucking stem will be avenged.
Thats the whole fucking point. 9th generation American here. I drink tea daily. I order it from coffee shops all the time. People are too polite to assholes these days. Manners must be taught.
No one held a gun to your head and forced you to buy our opium, Mr. Chang. The use of force was to permit it to be sold from a tiny port facility, the "concession". Where also a lot of your tea was bought for export over here.
Normal trade my slanty-eyed friend.
Have you been to a tea factory? Lmao if you had you wouldn't drink tea as they are staffed with indians and totally unsanitary
sip on plant juice
throw away all the healthy fibers after only extracting 20% of the plant's nutritional value
angloids really are nigger tier subhuman, no wonder you loved hanging out with them so much.
I didn't know that, then it must be something psychological from my side as I also drink tea from time to time, green tea ( lemon grass tea )
lol i bet you actually think im chinese
you're just a fucking jew
lmao
They're mostly germanic origin so everything associated with British culture sends a shiver of fear up them, the scent of tea kindles the memories of cold steel fair up their ancestors.
Another American Tea Chad here.
temp controlled kettle + tea pot
buy bulk loose leaf tea at my local grocery store
I used to mindlessly pound coffee because I'd be craving a hot beverage. Switched to herbal (non-caffeinated) tea and now I feel better. Usually 2-4 cups a day.
I'm drinking tea right now, poofter.
do you even know who the angles and the saxons were?
britain is germanic you retarded fuck
boston tea party. its a genetic impulse. they dont understand it as its archaic but its their bodies telling them they are ready to lift giant wooden crates of tea and toss them 20 yards into the ocean.
All tea has caffeine.
Black has the most, then Oolong, followed by Green, with White having the least.
Herbal has none, neither does "red tea" but neither of those are tea because they don't use tea leaves.
A cup of coffee contains between 95-200 mg of caffeine.
A cup of black tea contains between 40-70 mg of caffeine on average.
If you want the higher end of caffeine in coffee, use a light roast. Breakfast blends are usually light roasts that are lower in bitterness, higher in caffeine content, and less acidic. Darker roasts have "more flavor" which is usually just harsher bitterness but lends themselves well when making lattes and other drinks that would overpower the taste of light roasts. The reason Starbucks and other companies burn the fuck out of their roasts is because black coffee drinkers aren't their target market, they are after someone getting a bunch of dairy, sugar, and flavorings added and the coffee is just another flavor added.
8 o’clock is the best choice for acceptable quality coffee. For tea it’s Yorkshire, PG Tips or Barry’s. Most supermarkets will have at least one of those.
It was a joke you fuckling cockwomble.
Black tea has the most caffeine (drink it for breakfast).
Green tea has less (drink it at lunch).
Herbal tea (doesn't have tea leaves, just a medley of dried fruit and herbs and nuts) has zero tea (drink it in the evening).
There are teas that have no caffeine, like Rooibos. But then we'd have to get into the weeds of what "is" and "isn't" tea in its essence, and I can't be bothered.
But yeah, coffee caffeine is different to tea caffeine, as we all feel. Coffee gives you the rollercoaster effect whereas tea is more subtle but longer lasting. There are slight differences in the nature of the caffeine on a chemistry level, but again, those are the finer points.
Pretty strong opinions about the British opium trade for a full-blooded white Australian. Maybe you are just Irish. In which case the famine is over. Time to go home.
youtu.be
We generally have at least one pitcher of tea brewed at all times. I love sweet tea. Sweet tea with lemon is good too.
That peach tea from publix whenever I'm down south.
Feel good man.
For tea, my mainstay is TiKyuanYin. It's a loose leaf Oolong. It's pricier per weight than a lot of teas but cheaper overall because it is one of the small pool of teas that can be resteeped multiple times with no degradation in flavor or potency until around the fifth steep.
I got 1.5 liter cordless kettle with a built in tea diffuser, and I drop a scoop of that tea in there and drink off of it pretty much all day. I got other varieties when I just want to change pace, but what amounts to 5 pounds of tea for a around 1.5 times the price of one pound of tea is a helluva bargain.
Jasmine pearls are usually good for two maybe three steeps.
Haven't found a black tea that good for more than one steep yet, but I'm still looking.
I blend my own coffee that I brought from Veracruz. I will give more room to tea now that you guys mention it
I hope you never carw about tea, the lrices for decent tea are high enough as it is. I don't need another "Chinks drive up the Single Malt prices" situation again.
Americans drink more tea per capita than many European countries, you retard.
I've never really been a flavored tea drinker but peach is good and probably pairs well.
it is hash time
Tea caffeine effects are more like Guarana caffeine effects. Guarana doesn't give you the shakes like drinking too much coffee does (for people who can't handle it) but keeps you just as alert. To be honest though, caffeine has pretty much zero effect on me due to my tolerance levels. I get a wicked headache from withdrawal if I don't drink any for a few days though. As it stands right now, I can slam a 12 cup pot of coffee and easily take a nap afterward.
Glad to be here, fren.
Not necessarily true. The Chinese have excellent tea, but you really have to watch what you're buying due to soil contamination and similar things. The Indians didn't have much of a tea culture before the British colonized them, but they thought them well and their black tea gardens produce some of the finest black teas in the world (if you know what to buy and if you're willing to pay upward of 150 Euro per kilo).
Any recommendations for Chinese tea or companies to order from? I started taking the tea pill after my business trip to Japan. Now I order green tea directly from them. Sencha, Gyokuro, Hojicha.
Good on ya.
All about variety. If you don't like it, don't drink it though. Just give it a go as a cheaper alternative to coffee.
I don’t like caffeine it gives me anxiety. Sometimes I microwave sleepy time tea tho it’s yummy
To get started properly, get a temp controlled tea kettle. Black, green, and herbal are the three main types of teas and each have their own ideal temps for the water. Then just get a basic glass tea kettle with a little strainer on the spout and you're good to go. Welcome to the club.
You have to buy from a good supplier, I personally recommend Yunnan Sourcing. There is some British dude running the shop.
How about your recommendations? I suppose both of you are talking about black tea and not green tea. Are the nips the best at producing green tea?
yunnansourcing.com
I'm browsing their website now. They look really good, so far as I can tell.
Beat me to it.
i like nip tea but nip coffee is best
Even "good" companies in China will sell you bullshit because they don't have quality control for shit. I can't recommend a single one that will give you a consistent product and I've had a lot of Chinese tea.
Tea is fucking shit
It exists as long as I remember, it's owned by some Anglo dude to whom you can write directly
Check out benjamin teas. My tea bro turned me on to them. Expensive but super potent and the ship to you. Try the herbal fusion. That's my top shelf tea that I break out on special occasions lol.
Tea just sucks. It tastes gross
But American drinks drink tea and tea related products all the time so your point is wrong to begin with
Thank you I will check them out. I have ordered my Japanese green tea from sazen tea and they have good quality and prices. I can highly recommend their Tongu Asatsuyu tea. They also have a selection of Chinese black and green teas but haven’t ventured out yet. Are there any specific types of tea from them you could reccomend?
roasted green tea is delicious
muh corn syrup
Texas isnt “the south” and I don’t understand why foreigners insist to inject themselves into American culture and simultaneously refuse to learn even the most rudimentary facts about it
I don't get the point of tea. It just makes you sleepy and low energy (which I equate with low t), and it tastes like shit. Every guy I know who drank it was basically a low energy beta onions boy.
b-but it's healthy!
So are dozens of other things that actually taste good.
I used to drink tea, but it's nothing special. I drink only teas from herbs that grow native to my area, specifically Yaupon holly.
honestly it looks like weed
In Australia we mostly use this company, looks like they have an American branch too:
lupicia.com
I hunt and fish as well, but pack along some good tea as well.
I also make really finely crafted cocktails with top shelf liquor. Usually high-proof alcohol.
Boston Tea Party syndrome.
yanks haven't been the same ever since.
Nobody actually cares. But pond water overall is tasteless when compared to the high fructose cornsyrup diet of starbucks.americans actually drink a lot of tea.
Nice bait tho.
Still, herbs thread.
Is their poop teat too rajeet????
I'm drinking tea right now faggot.
what are you drinking you fuck?
Lao Man E Autumn 2023 Sheng cake. You?
Drinking is cringe and you need to grow out of it by the time you are 30.
Brisk just needs to make claymation rocky balboa commercials again.
"Give it up rocky its over!"
"Nothins over coach i just need sumthin ta drink!"
Now that is funny coming from an american. Minority European, majority brown. Gets browner every day and all I can do is laugh hahahaha
I wold answr pal butt i am so tnse my fingrs dont wrk at teh momnt!!!!!!!!
Yunnan Sourcing tea company is owned and operated by Scott Wilson, an American entrepreneur who settled in Kunming, China. He founded the company in 2004 and has been involved in the tea industry since the late 1990s, initially importing teas from Yunnan to the USA.
teaepicure.com
tea is good tho?
You niggers literally caused the civil war to break up the US. You gutter niggers even started massing troops in Canada for an invasion towards the end of it.
There used to be claymation everywhere, haven't seen any in a long time. I also haven't really watched cable TV in 15 or so years either and block all ads on my computer.
boston tea party flashbacks
I dunno. I really like good tequila, rum, whiskey, or bourbon fortified with grain alcohol. Pure Proof 151, or everclear really bone it up a notch.
Just don't drink too much of it. The cleaner the alcohol, the less hung over I am. It just burns off clean.
What you're drinking it literally flavoured corn syrup. Kek.
Iced tea from the south is a completely different beast, and we know this.
Kunming, China
Seems like such a great place. Perhaps, I will travel there and check it out.
you know what's really dank? replacing the tea with powdered iced tea. hot iced tea is bangin
Arizona Iced Teas is the pinnacle of American goyslop "tea". You're probably thinking of that. Those turds come in giant 99 cent cans of different flavors.
Tea is for island people, like brits and nips.
No idea. There's an actual Tea Shoppe around the corner from me and I'm in Ohio just outside one of the most dangerous places in the state lololol.
I brew the tea and add the sugar myself you retarded nigger. I hate bottled/canned tea, I never buy it.
It's undrinkable for me now. All that slurrup. I get cramps and body aches if I drink it. I'm allergic to HFCS.
Coffee snobs are more delusional than the niggers that think they invented everything. Gas station coffee and 'gourmet' coffee taste the same.
you're a joke you bloody drongo
To be quite honest, my family traveled through Asia and got me into the habit. We just never thought twice about having a cup/glass of tea. Now, I drink cold earl grey and I'm never going back. It pairs well with guava, or mango nectar. You have to buy the right nectar that doesn't taste like the inside of a tin can though.
Fresh hot sweet tea with ice is such an interesting profile. It's still somewhat hot but with the ice melting with it there's a medium warmth to it. It's much different than cold iced tea or just hot tea by itself.
Try it with cocktail-style ice. I bet it takes it to a whole new level.
1pbtid
It's feels weird and foreign to them because it doesn't contain corn syrup.
Like those big cubes or spheres or like the pebble ice? I've never been a cocktail drinker when I drank liquor.
We sell PG tips in every supermarket here dummy i drink a cup every day
Well, yeah. But, I like tea, so I said, "fuck it".
Celestial Seasonings
great
Harney & Sons
don't know them
Lipton
top-tier
Tazo
great
The Republic of Tea
decent, passable
Spheres are great for warm and woody cocktails. Cubes for mixed drinks, and the pebble/nugget is good in pretty much anything.
This a little bit of honey (raw and unfiltered) and some anise.
I was a Yunnan Sourcing customer for many years, friend. They have a wide variety of decent products. I don't buy too many Chinese teas anymore because of the environmental concerns. If I buy Chinese, I make sure it's certified Bio. I'm satisfied with the basic bitch Chinese teas, give me a good Lung Ching and I'm a happy camper. I also love their white teas, a great Silver Needle is something that every tea lover should experience. When I'm in Germany, I just buy at my local and trusted tea shops or I will just go to Teegschwendner where I will get a halfway decent quality at a tolerable price.
Tea is full of fluoride
I'm just not a fan of CC and Lipton. It tastes too bland and is kind of inconsistent brewing. The tannins don't bind correctly.
Interesting, my brother is into mixed drinks so maybe I'll have to get him to try out some different ice styles and I can try it with tea.
Neato.
So is my brain. I'm sure I have almost no pineal gland left by now. Or else, it has crystallized into something like a candied walnut, perhaps.
Take out the sugar.
You can get excellent teas from many different regions. It depends what you're looking for. India has great tea gardens, their black teas are their main pride. I mostly buy first flush Darjeelings. I'm currently drinking a nice first flush from Lingia tea garden (I posted a cup a few weeks ago to complement a Jeet on the very few things they actually do right). I also love Steinthal, it's a decent tea garden and many others. I usually pay like 150-200 a kilo for these teas. You can pay much more than that if you really want the best of the best.
When it comes to green teas, China and Japan are your first choices, there are a few other regions that produce decent green teas that are less known but of decent quality, Korea would be an example.
You know the south drinks tea quite heavily, right?
Tea flavored diabeetus precursor.
Do you drink that before or after you eat semen?
What caused this?
i don't care, i don't want them to start drinking tea though, because then i'll have to stop and that will annoy me.
Sun tea originated in the south
They have a wide variety of decent products
big meh. but if it worked for you. good.
If you drink tea in front of an American, you could feel he instantly becomes tense as if you are doing an extremely dangerous thing. What caused this?
ffs. why do people rec reddit sourcing? they're just ok.

Sun tea originated in the south
A great invention for black tea over ice.
I totally forgot about sun tea. I'll have to make some when it heats up more.
I'm drinking my Barry's right now, fag.
I'm admittedly not a tea buff like others here, I'm just after the benefits of drinking black and green tea, of which there are many. It's funny that there are still Americans left out there who actually won't drink tea because the British like it and they think it's un-American lmao.

Uninformed leaf but I repeat myself.
Anyone have a fave mate brand?
benefits of drinking black and green tea
wish people wouldn't say this. you drink it for flavor, that's it. thinking it's going to do anything is memey.
next you niggas will start talking about CHA QI or some chink TCM shit about cooling.
Are you claiming that you can't find very decent teas at Yunnan Sourcing? It's like with everything else, you get what you pay for. If you're willing to pay premium prices, you will get very decent teas.
Oddly enough, a great part of my family are cattle ranchers and cowboys. All of them like tea at lunch and supper. They're pretty red-white-and blue American.
Tea is the superior drink, I love my white tea every morning and green tea every afternoon. You should try it, mutts
It has cardiovascular benefits, fights brain fog (theanine), regulates blood sugar more effectively than coffee. Also has antioxidants. I still drink coffee too.
Drink black tea in winter
Drink green tea, rose petal and hibiscus tea in summer
Drink Oolong tea when you eat too oily
Drink white tea when you want to feel white power
...
Burgers don't have electric kettles so they can't make tea.
I have three electric kettles. They're everywhere.
I've never used an electric kettle but I've used kettles on gas/electric stoves.
Gay.
