It's not 2018 anymore, hemp-derived THC gets you right and proper fucked. There are altnoids out there that get you more fucked up than D9, but I don't keep up with that shit anymore, there's a new one each week. Also, (most) D9 edibles are legal since they contain less than 0.3% D9 by dry weight (which is more than enough to get you high). The biggest problem with all of that shit is that the process for extracting THC from hemp (more specifically, CBD) is quite harsh, and the industry is so unregulated that a lot of the garbage out there in gas stations and smoke shops is full of heavy metals and solvents.

However, now there's the THCA loophole, which is literally just normal weed but labelled differently. Only downside is you can't practically sell any THCA products (like vapes or edibles) that involve heating in the manufacturing process.
