A decade ago before the trade war, when I traveled to China, people in China loved American brands, American products such as apple were seen as status symbols for the wealthy, they frowned upon their own brands such as Huawei and Xiaomi, After the trade war, that attitude has totally changed, they now actively and proudly support their own brands, especially the younger generation, first it was just the hardware, now we are starting to see software even the entire ecosystem being replaced. America pretty much gave up its own dominance and handed them the entire market.

The thing you need to be concerned about is that China's tech scene is still relatively in its infancy and they were able to pull-off a feat like this with their own silicon, system, and even software.
With virtualization it's not out of the scope to image how far they could get by emulating the Windows stack thereby making Windows irrelevant. And since China operates outside of the scope of the Western hemisphere they aren't subjected to the same IP laws as vassal states like Japan or S. Korea.
had that same problem with a dell laptop. did a bios update and had to turn the energy plan to balanced rather than high efficiency. thing got so baking hot that my usb plug would be too hot to even touch. absolute piece of shit system, even my toshiba satellite was tons better and ran better. dell is a pile of shit skinnerson
