Weve had lasers for awhile. Powering them is a paint in the ass. Batteries cant move the juice fast enough capacitors need constant feeding to not lose charge. We have them but they are not mobile like this you essentially only get them to work connected to something closer to a power plant then a generator.

Its really just a more powerful version of the ones that can damage vision. Shooting planes like that or even the metal plate from a mobile vehicle is bullshit. We put one of a ship with its own generator and its still a shit version. And you really have to power them for distance cause the atmosphere absorbs some of the energy.
