I've been smoking weed for 16 years, and in that time I've taken 5 breaks ranging from 90 days to 6 months. The only side effects I ever got were insomnia (which I suffered from before I started smoking) and mild headaches. Compare that to something like quitting caffeine cold turkey, which will actually fuck you up.

I quit nicotine and caffeine cold turkey every few months just to reset my tolerance with zero issue. I don't understand how people get addicted

Because it’s not addictive. You can stop it cold turkey with no ill effects. I haven’t had any in months for no reason at all and I have a drawer full of the stuff. Now that’s it’s legal and I’ve done a lot of it, I prefer the liquid jew. Some people are desperate and psychologically conditioned to use it all the time but they too can quit cold turkey, it’s not going to kill them. You don’t get withdrawal effects

A few years ago I bought that much of lemon candies. The chewy kind.
Individually wrapped, pain to open them all. 20mg a piece they were.
Ate all of them in one go. It had been a while since I had any edibles and wanted to see if things had changed. Got tired of chewing.
Did nothing.
Tincture does something though.
Ill set out one of my nicotine pouches out for about an hour, let it dry. Soak it in tincture and use as normal. About an hour later I get "high" Not as intense as if I just smoke or vape after abstaining for a couple of months first. I'd like to have a smoking contest with Snoop Dog. Just need about a week to "warm up" first. Then it'll do nothing to me.
I also have to get the craziest highest THC content to notice anything in the first place though. Monetarily speaking, it's just not worth it.

I have been high 24/7 for the past week and a half. Today is my first day not smoking. Though I feel a little more tired than usual, it's not like I'm dying or going crazy or anything. However, I was hitting an indica weed cart, and I don't get tired like this coming off sativas, so who knows.

I quit cold turkey whenever I need to for drug tests or whatever, doesn't necessarily seem like a skill one needs to have but maybe that's just a saving grace of growing up under illegality with no synthetic piss and a disgust for packing around someone else's clean piss. I've never been cripplingly addicted to any drug, I usually stop before shit gets to that point or circumstances change to where the drug just isn't available to me anymore.

I've had several different types, most recently lots of different gummies but it doesn't do shit. If I use them to try and sleep it just makes me wake up short of breath several times, so I gave up trying.
Once some co-workers (bf and gf) were begging me to buy one of their rice crispy treats made with weed butter, because they "had to at least make their money back", said they'd give me a deal for $7 instead of $10. I said whatever, and ate the fucker at work. They were like excited children asking me every 10 mins if its working yet. It never worked. They were confused, saying they got super high from theirs. Didn't know what to tell them.

I smoked because I could. Not because I had to. I very much enjoyed my 20s, but I didn’t get a lot of shit done that I should have. Made up for it by slaving in my 30s. I’m ahead of everyone else I know for my age. I look back on my 20s with fondness but ultimately i always knew it would be a finite experience. Still occasionally like to rip a one hitter on the weekends after mowing my yard and sitting on my porch looking at my immaculate 1.3 acres. It’s the little things I miss the most.

I was also a smoker. That's an addiction. When I stopped smoking it felt like hell. 2 weeks of absolute filth and I can understand anyone who can't stand it. For me it felt like I was being eaten away inside.

Exactly right. I didn't smoke weed in high school or college. I picked up the habit working in sales. We would get high as balls and work the sales floor. Customers never said anything, but they did occasionally jokingly ask if we would remember to do the actual job. We did, and of course, we were baked then too. That's construction for you though. Now, I run a business. I can smoke a bit and still work. I do like 15 milligrams per day. Tiny amount, but enough to have a micro buzz going.

I'm kind of weird in that regard. When I'm high, I like to go work in the garden, mow the lawn, water the plants, repair the car, build things, and my all time favorite is sales calls. I like to let all my funky juices flow during sales because people really listen when you're open to being a little quirky.
