Costco is 1,000x worse here since it's our only source of cheap, non price-fixed groceries. Every Costco in or near a city is at capacity 24/7. People have fistfights over parking spots as people spent 30+ minutes in a mini traffic jam waiting for one to open. Once you're lucky enough to park, you navigate the hellscape of honking cars to get to the store. And once you're in, every single aisle and open space is crowded with people like Tokyo during rush hour. You cannot simply stroll down with your cart because there are people and carts within 2 feet at all times. So the store operates like the parking lot, complete chaos as people forget their dignity and navigate the store with a hypercompetitive antisocial mindset. Once you got your products, you'll crawl along the traffic jam to the registers. And then again towards the door where receipts are checked. Getting the $1.50 hot dog on the way out not worth the chaos and delays you have to endure. That section is by far the worst, most animalistic part of Costco.
Now you navigate your way back to your car with your cart, through the perpetual traffic jam. Once you're loaded up and get in, you have another 20 minutes of trying to leave the parking lot. And the chaos of Costco radiates through the adjacent streets as people resort to parking in lanes among the congested entering/exiting traffic.

But even this is worth the savings we get at Costco.

I went to one in Richmond hill this weekend. Somehow the parking lot was 90% full at 9 am on a Saturday. Cars were stopped in the lanes near the entrance even though there were spots further away.

I could not life a case of huge water (48 pack I believe it was) so my grandmother employed the help of a fit man from Africa who had a heavy accent. He put 2 of them in the cart and at checkout we had a worker unload them in the car. I wish I could take them home with me LEL but alas I had to settle take the bottles 5 at a time out of the huge packs so I didn’t have to lift if all at once. Things are sold in bigger packages/higher quantities yet if you do the math you actually DONT get a discount for "buying in bulk", people just assume they do because they are retarded and can't do math. And people actually pay an annual membership fee to shop there.
