Everyone accepts that the goal of a business is to make money, but in a similar vein, the goal of a democratic government is to become a authoritarian. Any government that is a slave to the people naturally wants to liberate itself from said slavery. Mass migration is a huge part of how modern governments do this and it's extremely multifaceted. Another very simple example is through creating artificial demand for authority. A unifying culture enables people to cooperate in the absence of authority. If a unifying culture is eroded, more authority is necessary to maintain the same level of cooperativity. This isn't just abstract reasoning either, it's something very tangible that people experience daily.

The idea of governments and corporations spying on everyone would've been seen as grounds for revolution just 30 years ago. Nixon was impeached for wiretapping a single building, now our governments are effectively wiretapping the entire planet. What caused this change in public attitudes? Well we need all that surveillance to protect us from terrorism etc, but these things were never a problem back when we had a unifying culture. Islamic terrorism didn't exist because there was no islamic presence. The boogieman of white nationalist terrorism didn't exist because that boogieman only makes sense in a multicultural society. Nobody would've accepted this degree of authoritarianism before multiculturalism, but now that we live in multicultural societies it's seen as necessary, either to stop terrorism from the muslims etc, or to prevent reactionary terrorism from whites. Multiculturalism is what created the demand for this authority, which is why our governments pushed for it to begin with.
