I made the mistake of getting a proper education (masters equivalent in engineering + extra courses in economics), which made it damn hard to get a job. Companies don't want skilled people fresh out of university, and they especially don't want to pay for them. They'll hire the most retarded people they can get, then poach experienced workers elswhere when they do need skill. start doing internships as soon as possible. Doesn't matter how useless they are, it's just to get a piece of paper with a company's stamp on it. That's my biggest regret, actually. I always tried not to use people, and kept away from retards (literal retards, such as a severely ADHD girl who would pull shit like suddenly singing out loud in the middle of class, and was into me for some reason).
Honesty doesn't pay. If I suddenly moved ten years back in time, I'd do the opposite, and try to keep everybody friendly and willing to support me, no matter how little I thought of them. The people who did got ahead of me for several years, even if by now, I've caught up again.

Also, invest in stocks earlier. I didn't want to risk money before having a stable income, and as a result, the cash I saved up from pocket money, vacation jobs and what relatives gave me is now worth only half of what it would be even with a simple index fond investment. And with the strategy I've been using since getting a job, I could have quadrupled it easily.

It's a conundrum where they want skilled, experienced people, but don't want to give important jobs to newbs. So fresh graduates get simple jobs, which anybody can do - and since anybody can do them, the cheapest people get hired. Guess who the cheapest workers are?

Most of the people I know that moved up quickly started from a tradie education, worked a year or two, then went to university parallel to working part time. then back to full time, and up through the ranks.
A few are like me, unironical geniuses (in my case IQ beyond the measurable, graduated from an elite course that's basically mechanical, chemical end electrical engineering all at once), but all of us had trouble getting that first job, while the tradies just had to ask for work.

Wouldn't recommend actually working as a tradie, though. Work conditions are bad, pay is worse, and you'll most likely end up with a retarded superior who never got out of the trades. It's strictly a steppingstone.

if it takes off i would work with local goverments to make sure the people had acess to all the correct grants ect in the local area and then would do some kind of mentorship programme with people in the field

i guess also tie it in with employment aswell so the people your sending the spare change to can list and needs or requirements for the business and people can go through the site to apply/interact with them

that way if somebody is doing something you are passionate about you can get directly involved
