my mom has basically never worked in her life after marrying my dad, and my dad is a workaholic who will probably stay at his job after retirement age. they've never had any hardships in their life outside of having to deal with my sister getting in to legal trouble with drugs. life basically has just been a big party for them.
I have a similar situation except my mom is headcase, my sister had a mental breakdown and moved in with us because she was secretly insecure about other people, couldn't think for herself or be bothered to hold herself to any sort of standard, and my brother is a schizo who fucked his life up in more ways than one. The only semi normal people that exist in my family is just me and my dad. My dad is on his way out the door because he's old and I'm not planning on baby sitting jobless people who won't help themselves. As of now, i'm focused on getting a degree online so i can get the fuck out of this expensive ass country.

they even do this at the check out ran by actual employees. I don't fucking understand it. They can have like 5 items and take 3 minutes to check out. Then I have 10 items and am done in 45 seconds. It can't just be the cashier doing this, but I don't understand how this can even happen.
