I guess I have something of a boomer perspective on this issue, because I've effectively dropped out of society due to these factors and am very content with that decision. However, I'm 40, skilled, could retire now if I wanted to, no wife or kids, never wanted any, and got enough pussy in my 20s and early 30s to be completely bored with it. So I want to say the answer is to just stop giving a fuck and drop out, but that's coming from a perspective of having successfully lived life on my terms during the years it mattered most to me. I can't imagine trying to maintain this same mindset if I was 22 and unemployed with no pussy.

I feel like that's a pretty common thing now of days, and I think it's mostly due to the systems in place working against you and the odds as well. People just give up and get swept up by the waves.
