In Latvia, we do not have purposly built mosque. Just some converted buildings, like warehouse. They frequently whine about it, but because they are not citizens, and cannot vote, government and municipality does not care about them much. And they do not want to pay for construction out of their own pockets, so at the end, those complains fizzle out. Now with increased military spending, there will be even less chance that funds will get allocated for mosque.

Lukashenko has to go back to the only friend he has left, the Russians, who make him an offer he can't refuse - they send their little green men to secure the capital and stage exercises on the border threatening to invade if Lukashenko gets overthrown, in return Belarus becomes a protectorate of the Russians who now have the green light to move in as much military forces as they want

this allows the Russians to go through with their risky blitzkrieg plan with a decapitation strike on Kiev which is only ~100 miles from the border and thus avoiding the bulk of Ukrainian defenses in the Donbass. It was the only plausible option for a quick win and without Belarus being secured they probably wouldn't attack
