Portuguese investigators have resumed the search around the location of British child Maddie McCann's disappearance, which occurred in 2007 at Praia da Liza, South Portugal. Several cars belonging to the investigators have taken a dirt path guarded by the Police.

The search, resumed today and proceeding until Friday (June 6th 2025) was done according to a warrant issued by the German authorities, that suspect a German man, Christian Brückner, of killing Madeleine McCann.

In the area there are at least twenty small rural estates, full of pits, wells and ruins. The main suspect, Christian Bruckner, who was living in the area at that time, is currently held in a German Prison for crimes of a sexual nature. The new search of the Portuguese Police take place until Friday on a mandate by the German authorities, who still have no elements to incriminate Bruckner, who is about to fully serve his sentence in Germany. According to what Portuguese media are reporting today, around 80% of the area affected by the current search has already been previously inspected.

Didn't a German place get knocked over like 10 years ago and tons of CP was found, it seemed to be a distribution type hub for the larger network or something. I remember rumors that there was video of McCann found and she was presumed dead like several of their other victims.

The German prosecutor was very sure that Christian Brückner did it, I don't know what to think about this. They need some human remains in order to nail him for the crime. My personal opinion is that he could have done it, I think he's the most likely suspect. People say it's the parents and I believed that for a long time, they still could be the perpetrators, but B. just fits like a glove. Degenerate pedo, petty thief and burglar, convicted rapist and repeat offender, lived in the area during that time and he's currently serving a jail sentence for raping an American tourist (some over 70 year old grandma). Afaik, he even bragged to some friends that he killed Maddie. I don't think we will ever know for sure.

There was complaints about the kids making noise the previous night, so I reckon as the parents were Doctors they drugged the kids and something went wrong.
I think the Portuguese Police thought similar but as they didn't 'dot the i and cross the t, they were disregarded.

They are educated people. Everyone who can read a book knows that to avoid jail you should not give a statement about anything except in court. If you don't make a statement then the police needs to prove that you DONT have an alibi, and that you had motivation and so on. Which is nearly impossible to do if you dont speak. While they been talking and publicizing as much as possible.
