I play OldSchool Runescape and we had a recent update that was supposed to be a super hard boss but within hours artists had figured out how to completely negate all damage and the fight is just brain dead "walk in circle at specific time". I came back to the game in 2019 for nostalgia but everyone is so concerned with the meta, most xp/hr instead of playing the game. I love reading the lore and quests and solving things but everyone spacebars through the dialougue and uses quest guides or the Quest Helper that is is built into the client which literally draws a line to walk and tells you every single step. Sorry for the run-on sentence but the shit boggles me.

I lived in Germany until 2010, and was shocked at how amazing Russia changed and how much more advanced and developed it is compared to EU. A meme about "its only Moscow/SPB and everywhere outside are pale ruins" is a meme too. And improvement and development is seen everywhere at massive scale. Even the small rural town i remembered being half abandoned buildings looks lively and clean now.

Just like how politicians still think Russia is USSR and wants to fight capitalism, same regular people have zero impression of actual Russia.

i mean, i hate them, and i usually just make some pikes and more walls when i see them, but even when you are mentally prepared they can still be annoying assholes. team games especially are the worst : 4 vs 4, there are fucking franks on the enemy team, you know the drill but you watch your teammate fight border wars and lose villagers in retarded dark age fight, yet you know that as soon as feudal/early caslte comes, he will be swarmed, yet, you cannot really help him with walls that early, and even if you send 4-5 pikes, he will still die.

Totally get it. I even find myself falling victim to it playing games, getting out the guide and shit and then thinking "well why am I even playing". It's what was so good about being a dumb kid and playing games, you just figured shit out. Our whole society is trying to min/max everything and it's destroying the joy in things, like how we're all addicted to smartphones.
If you think the game is too old, there's a new game out called Songs of Conquest, but I cant say if it's good or not I haven't played it.
