The US government spent 16% of expenditures just servicing the debt last year and it's growing exponentially. Maybe it's time to cut the fucking credit card in half, quit gambling, and quit relying on slave labor for growth while our entire domestic labor class has rotted and been abused for 50 years.
You're right about where the drawdown will come from though. The next step after tariffs, unlimited credit, and austerity fail is going to be asset reclamation, again. Nationalizing precious metal assets, hyperinflationary printing, and probably a major war to justify 90% income taxes. We're just playing out the last 100 years again, right on schedule. OH WAIT, there's nukes now. That's going to be really fucking ugly.
