Many individual components are fungible and are produced in various other Far East countries, so this production run you might buy a batch of resistors from Taiwan and next month Malaysia might give you .01 cents cheaper bid and you buy from them so you buy from them. Just buying components from the lowest bidder every production run saves costs by encouraging competition in parts suppliers but you can't really say where anything is made or what percent is made where because it changes every time you order parts.
But yes, all of that assembly can be automated and every year more and more assembly work is being automated in China because even Chinese labor is more expensive than just building machines once and having a handful of highly skilled professionals maintain and update as needed.
