$30,000 Iphones MAGA

Turns out if you need to pay US wages instead of sweatshops the product will cost a lot more

people actually believe these headlines

*could*

Yeah, its bullshit

It's the same reason why the Soviet Union had 10 year wait times for cars. If your produce everything internally without third world Slaves you can't produce first world quantity of shit and you won't focus on luxury

nobody would buy an iphone then retard

no one calls your phone anyway you fucking loser

How much does the $1,000 iphone cost to produce now? $50? If it goes up to $55 for the Made in America sticker they might charge $75,000. It's over.

isn't this unironically good?

it makes them more exclusive and exponentially triples the profits

1632074690375.jpg - 1200x1004, 229.43K

Lol mad your obvious fake as fuck crying wolf is not working anymore.

So what you're saying is that Apple has been using slave labor to make their products, effectively paying nothing, and charge $1000+? Doesn't sound legal.

the iPhone will cost as much as a American made car to produce if its made in America.

You don’t NEED anything, you entitled greedy fucks
In fact, you could even say “you will have nothing, and you will be happy”

could

what if we killed all journo scum?

legal issues only goes as far as the border of your country

Yeah, I'm sure that is true.

NOOOOOOO
DON'T TAKE AWAY MY HECKIN SLAVESLOP

6 millions dollars?

My fellow retarded bro from Australia. Up until the 90s most every thing America used were made in America. Even computer chips were made in America back then.

oh nooo, not the overdesigned overpriced consumer electronic slop that's killing the environment!

same reason why the Soviet Union had 10 year wait times for cars

Retardinho they dumped all resources into military

you're right, and no one ever will.

That's a good thing. Internet was best when only reach white people could afford it
Should be like this with all tech

We have AI and automation retard. We don't need brown people anymore.

Japan proving once again to be American's most based ally.

iphones are assets now that are hedged against stocks

lmao who believes this shit

market correction

EW4dg.jpg - 630x420, 42.04K

My projections are that iPhones will cost ONE MILLION DOLLARS

but seriously we can’t let this guy get the nuclear codes

Honda passport is made in the US new msrp $42,400

A fucking phone is going to cost more somehow.....

Are they making shit up as a they go lmfao

this is so good
I never thought iIcould be so entertained from Trump's 2nd term after 2016 and gamer gate
the sequel is turning out better than the original

unnamed.jpg - 356x512, 66.99K

hedge funds turned off their computers and now have ROOMS full of iphones

I've seen so much retarded shit about tariffs in the past few weeks it's unreal. All these countries can have massive tariffs against us, but when we do it the sky is falling

what if we killed all journo scum?

fucking nobody is held accountable for just making up shit

iphone prices rise $50

what about that guy that said they'd raise to $30k?

everyone shrugs shoulders

This is a problem for apple, not the consumer. Apple will have to do the leg work to make their product feasible and they will. The consumer gets to sit back and wait until apple or any other company makes a product we can afford. It's the whole fucking planet thats desperate to access the american market and its their problem to solve.

This is comms.

damn. no more enslaving browns for cheap material objects? the left is gonna be pissed

No chink slave labor or ecoli from India at what cost

People would still buy a 30k iPhone though, applefags are that retarded

Islop will be expensive bros

Don't care, never bought any Islop.

God, you one retarded shit.
Soviet Union was setting production control.
Telling factories how many and what good to make.

Soviet Union was in a war time production, all the time.

Estimating man-hours for an iPhone is tricky due to Apple’s secrecy and a complex supply chain. Final assembly takes about 24 hours, with 7-17 hours of human labor (based on $12.50-$30 cost at Foxconn wages). With 141 manual steps averaging 3 minutes each, that’s ~7 hours of hands-on work. Beyond assembly, mining, component production (e.g., chips, screens), and design add more time. Foxconn’s Zhengzhou plant, with 350,000 workers making 500,000 iPhones daily, suggests ~7 hours per unit for assembly alone. Total labor, including upstream efforts, likely ranges from 15-40 hours per iPhone. Automation and scale make precision tough, but this ballpark reflects both human and machine roles.
-Grok

So 15-40 hours at us minimum wage ($7.25 an hour) would be $109-$209
Subtracting the cost of chinese labour ($12.50 to $30 per phone) makes it an additional $97 to $179

current price of iphone 16 starts at $800 for the lowest spec model so that could go up to $897 or $979 per phone

i don`t know how they added 29 thousand to the price

Are they making shit up as a they go lmfao

it's all rageb8 for reddit. fucking even if this was real nobody is going to purchase something that could easily be dropped in the toilet and finished.

wait, it's all slave labour?

Its the same reason we had a covid scamdemic, people believe media lies

No it's not legal in america that's why you're doing it in china and india exploiting third world shitskins for pennies on the dollar.
You've been doing this for some 50 years that's why your manufactured goods are so cheap all the while you print money aka wealth out of thin air backed by the us military presence world over at the same time having the rest of the world that's forced to use dollar bear the cost of your inflation.
This arrangement have worked greatly in your favor and made you the sole superpower on the planet until orange retard came along and decided to crash it all for teh lulz and you migatards lapped it up. LOL!!!

phone is $30,000, goy.

best we can do is put this chip in your head for a donut

the chip is now required for all citizens to receive their WW3 rations

sorry about your luck, goy.

the sequel is turning out better than the original

trump literally wants this to be the trump show for the world. guy is on camera more than top-tier streamers. going to be a shame for the world when he leaves office.

But actually my projections are high since they include design work which is already largely done in the us

Going with the 7 hour figure for factory assembly, which is the manual labour figure. Would be $50 minus the $12.50 for 7 hours of chinese labour means an additional $38

so the iphone would go from $800 to $838

keep crying, tranny.. eventually APPLE will move manufacturing back to USA if they want their company to survive. the rest of the world will happily switch to HUAWEI

This is fake news and slander from libtards, until it becomes true, then it becomes based and trad because we are not consoomers who need iPhones (or computers, or video games, or monitors, or smartphones at all).

$30,000 Iphones

No more good goy tracker?
No more illiterates being able to access the most powerful information tool ever invented to post inane videos with mumble rap?
No more infinity scrolling?
No more swipe apps?
No more infinity porn in your pocket?
Internet returning to supermajority White men with some asians?
This is bad how?

The bigger the lie, the better.

If we can’t afford to manufacture iPhones domestically, its not worth it

An iPhone costs Apple roughly ~30 to produce with Asian slave labor. In the US it would cost roughly 90.
They would still want to increase the price 300%, because they're greedy faggots.

but then again i asked grok

how much would a $799 base model iphone 16 cost if it was made entirely in america

Estimating the cost of a $799 iPhone 16 made entirely in the U.S. is tricky. Currently, production in China costs ~$416, with assembly labor at ~$8 (Foxconn wages $5–$6/hr). In the U.S., labor at $28–$30/hr could push assembly to $40–$50. Component costs (~$408) might double to $800–$900 due to higher wages, regulations, and supply chain shifts. Add logistics and setup, and total cost could hit $850–$1,000 per unit. Apple’s $383 profit (64% margin) might shrink unless prices rise. If costs pass to consumers, the phone could retail for $1,600–$2,400, matching MIT’s $2,000+ estimate for a U.S.-made iPhone. Labor drives the increase—U.S. lacks China’s scale and efficiency.

So that doubles or more the price

Like the time Elon made a remotely anti-Semitic post on X and a week later he was doing a tour of Auschwitz with Ben Shapiro and a bunch of Rabbi's. People notice these things.

BUT WAIT

i asked grok for a link to that MIT study it mentioned and it said

The MIT estimate I referenced comes from a 2016 article published by *MIT Technology Review* titled "The All-American iPhone." It explores the cost implications of manufacturing an iPhone in the U.S., with two scenarios: one where only assembly is moved to the U.S., adding $30–$40 to the cost, and another where both components and assembly are U.S.-based, increasing costs by about $100. You can find the article here: [technologyreview.com/2016/06/09/159804/the-all-american-iphone/](https://www.technologyreview.com/2016/06/09/159804/the-all-american-iphone/). Note that these figures are from 2016 and based on the iPhone 6s Plus, so adjustments for inflation and newer models like the iPhone 16 would be needed for a current estimate.

so i asked grok to adjust for inflation how much extra it costs as percentage and apply that to the current $800 for a base iphone 16

making the adjusted price $838–$851 or $929. and it also said "my earlier estimate ($1,600–$2,400) reflects broader factors like scale and regulation not fully captured in MIT’s 2016 model."

Turns out if you need to pay US wages instead of sweatshops the product will cost a lot more

first 200 years of America didn't real

Huh, didn't know that.

if iPhones can’t exist without third world slave labor sweatshops, then maybe iPhones don’t need to exist.

Seems like a price worth paying. You either take the cheap Asian crap, or pay a fair price for good old fashioned American quality.

Could cost $30,000

Could cost $100,000. Could cost $1500. I sure love these baseless speculative numbers they throw out there.

Then don't buy an iPhone. Apple wouldn't be doing it out of necessity but greed. Once their attempt at greed fails, they'll lower the price or go bankrupt.

Surely you could find an iPhone for less than $30,000

so then i asked grok

im reading a headline that says it would cost $30,000 for an iphone if it was made in america. could that be at all reasonable. respond in under 2000 characters

A $30,000 iPhone if made in America sounds extreme, but let’s break it down. The current iPhone 16 base model retails for $799, with a production cost of ~$416 in China. Claims of $30,000 likely stem from exaggerating U.S. labor and supply chain costs. Assembly in China costs ~$8 per unit (Foxconn wages $5–$6/hr). In the U.S., at $28–$30/hr, assembly might jump to $40–$50—nowhere near $30,000. Even factoring in components (currently ~$408), U.S. production might double or triple costs to $800–$1,200 due to higher wages and regulations, pushing total cost to $850–$1,250 per unit. MIT’s 2016 estimate (adjusted to ~$130 extra in 2025) suggests a full U.S.-made iPhone adds 16% to cost, making it ~$929, not $30,000.

For $30,000 to make sense, labor would need to be absurd—like $15,000/hr for 2 hours—or include one-off setup costs (e.g., building factories) divided over a tiny batch. If Apple retooled entirely in the U.S. for 1 million units, spending $10 billion on infrastructure, that’s $10,000/unit in sunk costs, plus $1,000 production, still far from $30,000. Headlines like this often misrepresent studies or assume no economies of scale. Realistically, a U.S.-made iPhone might cost $1,600–$2,400 retail (per my earlier estimate), reflecting labor and supply chain gaps, not $30,000. That figure’s more clickbait than credible.

why not just paying that 10% tariff ?

The jobs will be non-unionized and low wage so this is not exactly true.

Oy vey
You’re stealing all of my retarded CEO bonus money!

we will be manufacturing cellphones domestically to sell on the market for $30k.

nice! I'm going to be rich.

Browns are cheaper than machines or AI. At least for owner. Social coast of browns is classical privatize profit, socialize the costs.

i also asked chatgpt the final cost of an 800 iphone 16 if made in america

Given these factors, a rough estimate for a U.S.-made iPhone 16 could range between $1,200 to $1,500 (depending on the extent of automation, efficiency improvements, and other variables). While this is a rough ballpark, it shows that the cost could more than double compared to current pricing. The $30,000 figure is far too high but reflects the general idea of how much more expensive U.S. production would be.

So $1200-$1500 which is less then groks estimate of $1600-2400 but still more then the MIT technology review estimate adjusted for inflation which would be $929 which is more then my estimate based entirely on factory labor costs of $838

I believe.
There are lots of components not built in the US anywhere. Making a custom order for them would cost very much.
In a few years the price would come down to $3000, but that's still much more than the Chinese iPhone with tariffs.
Tariffs should be 500%, not 50%.

lol. I've heard of Girl math but this Jew math is out of control lol

february: 10%

march: 20%

april: 54%

apparently you didn't hear the good news

then tell google to fix their curated fucking search results, they've been useless for almost a decade

my conspiracy theory is they let search results become useless on purpose so we use ai instead. for now the ai will be decent to lure people in but once we`re used to only using ai they will start to manipulate the results

Leftists in 2024: "FUCK APPLE FOR THEIR ANTI-ARTIST, PRO AI AD, THEY SHOULD GO BANKRUPT!!!"

Leftists in 2025: "NOOOOO, NOT APPLE'S HECKIN STOCK PRICERINOS!!! THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!!!"

are you winning son?

Would buy

Yeah that is definitely what is going to happen. They're going to cost $30,000. Seriously. People are going to make $8/hr and Apple will sell them $30,000 phones every two years.

This is a quote from TIM COOK from that article:

"There’s a confusion about China… the popular conception is that companies come to China because of low labor cost. I’m not sure what part of China they go to but the truth is, China stopped being the low labor cost country many years ago and that is not the reason to come to China from a supply point of view…

…the reason is because of the skill… and the quantity of skill in one location… and the type of skill it is. The products we do require really advanced tooling. And the precision that you have to have in tooling and working with the materials that we do are state-of-the-art. And the tooling skill is very deep here.

In the U.S. you could have a meeting of tooling engineers and I’m not sure we could fill the room. In China you could fill multiple football fields."

America's only meaningful advantage for so long was it's technological superiority. And now we're losing that. It's over. We're Britain now.

I don't need a iPhone, but I'm not a mindless consumer.

People are going to make $8/hr and Apple will sell them $30,000 phones every two years

cool.
guess I'll quit, open up a factory myself, and pay those same people more and tank apple.

350.000 workers in a plant

Can you even imagine this? Is this even realistic at all?

google changes words in your search to better match their ad sense program and monetize it
they've also fluffed up every result with hand picked authoritative sources that use backdating methods to fake history
we're far beyond "dead internet theory", they lobotomized it then buried it alive

Wtf are you talking about the soviet union had an abundance of slave labor

Do you even know what's inside an iphone? It's the equivalent of buying a gucci sweater

Could they actually though?

imagine the smell

you`re right, that figure seems dubious
i asked grok for a source on that figure and it sent me to a website that no longer exists, so i sked for another source but that source also doesnt exist

Good eye anon. They do that a lot. And they are basically telling you that its a false claim. Thats their way of avoiding some kind of accusation of lies. Its really sad that people read this shit and believe it. Jews are horrible people.

It takes years to make a quality product.

Funny thing, me and my co workers make quality products daily and meet demand monthly.

But whatever, enjoy your 100k cell phones, and next thing you will tell me, Nike will cost 349043934934904309340934093409340934 dollars!

Meanwhile I bought a great pair of American made shoes for $120, no issue.

Weird.

Actually based.

so we`re left with a choice of gimped dead internet search engines, wikipedia gatekept by wokes, and an ai that uses sources it cant show you because they no longer exist if they ever did

wow they really dont want people figuring things out on their own

"In the U.S. you could have a meeting of tooling engineers and I’m not sure we could fill the room. In China you could fill multiple football fields."

"America's only meaningful advantage for so long was it's technological superiority."

nice self-fulfilling defeatist mentality
we've had idle hands for two decades and it was bad even before that
it wont happen over night, but i promise you it'll never happen if we stayed that course

Possibly the dumbest shit I've ever read.

you don't even have a basis for figuring things out
the house rigged the game from the start

Could

This is how they stir shit up. They tell blatant lies and play up the worse case scenario, and since they say "could' they have plausible denial.

That's the crux of the problem.
You can't save America in 4 years.
While China is a dictatorship
America was put in this shitty place because kikes wanted that

OH no! ... anyway who cares about IPhones?

I mean I get it. But in no world would they ever produce a phone for 30k before they found a way to fix the supply chain and make the price lower that's just ignorant. But they only care about a headline.

That's their argument

which it isn't. She lost and you will stay salty.

Apple users would pay that.

Ai is a godsend for searching for parts that would take me hours on old boomer forums. It's really good at video game information. Stuff like that. Fuck using it for anything subjective.

could

would

might

The numbers don't lie baby, the plan is working

If literally every part; every material, every screw and every chip was made in America, like trump wants, then it would cost crazy money, how the fuck does he expect to open so many factories, where will all the workers come from? Who would work in a factory making complex shit for $8 an hour? The skills needed to insert a chip into phone is far greater than taking an order at a drive through. Cars cost $40,000 because most of the complex shit, like the head-units, driver aids and computers are built in cheap labor countries, and then it's slapped together with clips, screws and 3/8 inch bolts. If Shaniqua or Carlos are doing the chip installations on your autonomous breaking system or radar guided cruise control for minimum wage do you think you'd rely on it?

It is telling though. How the left is defending Wall Street. They went from "eat the rich" to "Won't someone think of wall street?!" They truly have to convictions and go with whatever they are told to think.

to=no

paying someone 100 a day to make an iphone is impossible it must be 1 dollar a day

finally an upside i can get behind

Its because they are like children. Reverse psychology works on these people. Just think about this for a second. They support the war in Ukraine. Which are the last remaining real nazis on planet earth. Im not saying they are bad but its true. Ukraine only exists today post ww2 because the Germans saved them from the bolsheviks.

I'm ok with that. You don't need a new phone. Maybe if people use old tech for longer programmers will be forced to actually optimize their code instead of writing shit code that uses up all hardware resources and demands endless consumption and leads to e-waste.

Things should cost more. I'm sick and tired of everybody wealth transferring everything to israel and china in exchange for consoooooooooooooomah slop.

Only a cat owning bitch would complain about reshoring manufacturing. Cat owners are liberals, cat owners are retarded, cat owners are dickheads. Fuck you.

ship all the factories overseas for decades

lmao all the tooling experts are overseas now guess we can't reshore

Kill all libertarians tbqh
They are the most vile kikes imaginable

This could cut into Apple's margins which means we might not get Severance season 3
You wouldn't want to leave Gemma stuck in the cuckwindow would you?

He thinks labour costs are a significant part of an expensive product

You were wicked in manufacturing, have you?

no more slave labor is a bad thing

if china can train children to do it then adults in America wont have an issue
and judging by the fact each individual only does one singular task in China, we can optimize that x10 fold

They won't cost that much because it will price out 90% of their customers.

So... You admit Trump is doing what is right to revert that situation?

Turns out if you need to pay US wages instead of sweatshops the product will cost a lot more

They are, like always, pulling numbers from their ass.
The human labor cost as a fraction of a manufactured good is nearly nothing.
Pic rel is the breakdown for iPhones.

Average Amerimutt factory workers cost 6 times more than those at Foxconn, assuming they are working as fast as their Chinese counterparts, the manufacturing cost should increase from $15 to $90 making a $630 phone cost $705 or 12% more.

We could also assume that "other costs" may double, even in rural Mississippi.
This would make the "made in America" iPhones up to 32% more expensive, which is less than the tariffs.

file.png - 1152x1146, 714.22K

Android is better anyway.

there's so much air in those prices already that they can sell it with same price as before.

You relied on food imports from Nueva España (now Mexico) back then.

LOL no they fucking weren't. Japan was the equivalent of China's position from the 70s onwards.

So they're admitting what others were saying, that the west cannot produce shit anymore because everything has been sent offshore and that we've been fucked over by globalism

Henry Ford had this all figured out like a century ago.

The way these companies are throwing tantrums and trying to rally the entire populace against tariffs is pathetic.

nooo! muh heckin Tendie Switch 2!

muh exact same iphone as the last 7 I've bought!

Cry more, consoomer fags

Ridiculous hyperbolic article.
Basically a journalistic hoax.

This

until we export those phones and make hand over fist.

Nothing will change until the American mentality of wanting that "work life" balance and pursuit of becoming rich is pretty much dead.
In China the concepts of "communism" work because of the deep ingrained mentality of Confucius philosophy, which allows for them to have highly skilled workers that make middle class wages.
In america if someone views themselves as "highly skilled" they want the top dollar pay and the six weeks vacation, with the bonus and shit.

hes got a point though. ask anyone to explain how their lives have been negatively affected in any way by Trumps administration and policies. im talking about REAL reasons not imagined ones.

i won't be holding my breath while i wait. i wont be waiting either because i already know all of these people are full of shit.

fuck your iphone and your firstworld problems.

then jews, being who they are, had to find ways of continually increasing the netgain of the companies they were invested into. and so outsourcing everything became that avenue.. but, its not one without consequences. it produced shortterm gains but long term losses. we need to correct course sooner than later, even if its detrimental in ways, once again it'll be better in the long term.

outsourcing weakened us and strengthened others and enabled them to take advantage of us. well enough is enough. mistakes and poor choices were made, but its time to correct the course.

I doubt Foxconn or Apple or whatever actually uses children, but even if they did I'd trust a Chinese kid to do something highly technical more than Tyrone from Atlanta with an ankle bracelet and drinks 30 beers when he gets home. You can't get quality complex products from minimum wage earners in the US or Australia or Western Europe anymore. Sure, if the wages were higher its possible, but not at $7.50 and hour

You're not taking into account that every single tiny little part will be either tariffed, or made in America at American wages

ITODDLERS BTFO

i feel its important to point that that the world should be grateful the USA outsourced as much as they did. by doing so they pumped not only money into those other shithole countries, but they provided them with technology etc that could be used to raise the general standard of living and bring those third world countries more into the first world. imagine if the USA never outsourced anything and kept it all internal. and we never entrusted other nations to assemble our phones, computers etc.. they would be substantially behind where they are currently at now... the world truly does owe the USA more than they give us. you're all a bunch of disrespectful cunts, to be quite honest. you should be eternally grateful that we let your poor people build our phones. it served to raise the bar for them.. provided incentives for what they could strive for. otherwise an Apple phone would seem like a rolex watch to these fucking people. i mean it still does in ways, but since its manufactured in their country it actually makes that tech and world more available to them. to think they've been scamming and ripping us off after we've given them a foot in the door into the first world.. its just wrong.

God gives and God can also taketh away.

p00xx.png - 262x118, 15.92K

but without slave labor, who will make my newest smart phone so I can bash the fash at Starbucks?

You're not taking into account that every single tiny little part will be either tariffed, or made in America at American wages

It's not the 70s anymore.
Labor costs are pretty much negligeable

What drives costs are primarily energy and capital costs, for phones specifically raw materials are also relevant.

As you see in pic rel, labor costs will still be a very small part of even that (taking the battery as an example).
The cost of labor, when you have modern roboticized economy, is miniscule.

Chinas type of industry would be profitable even in high income countries with only a minor increase in price.

file.png - 600x435, 69.62K

i've been sold on chink phones since i got a OnePlus 11. Had a huawei before that but apparently its not compatible with 5G networks

they make premium samsungs seem like a galactic waste of money

Doesnt that just mean they are made by slaves?

I hate kikes so god damned much it's unreal.

could

won't

Ross Perot said there would be a "giant sucking sound" heard from around the world. Or something to that effect.

Good, fuck Igoy slop.. I want to see roasties using cheap huawei phones.

There really is only ONE conspiracy. Did you know that the Maxwell family:

- Fucked up public education
- Destroyed science as a viable endeavor
- Almost single-handedly created reddit
- Also trafficked a bunch of kids but ignore that

Material costs 60%

Material costs are still very much subject to wages. Materials don't dig themselves out of the ground, transport themselves, sort themselves, assemble themselves with other materials, pack themselves, transport themselves again, assemble themselves again...

All these blue collar industries that are handled in China will have to suddenly appear in America, and people will have to change their comfy jobs working from home for 60-150k a year to make all this manufacturing possible in the next few months otherwise people will be paying 35% more for anything that is shipped from Xi's candyland.

Btw Robert Maxwell was mossad, as if I had to say it.

It doesn't surprise me. The reason people like this got away with it so long is because of the internet. Organized crime likes the internet.

kek the media is absolutely shameless in their fearmongering

>people actually believe these headlines

It's all unemployed and unemployable NEETs and trannies or limousine liberals who all believe a modern factory is something out of a Dickens novel instead of pic related.

Rabbit hole goes DEEP with this kike family.

Please read this idiotic bait headline while I not use a modicum of sense because it fits my mentally ill histrionic mindset

I unironically defended this guy because people on Anon Babble are so fucking consoomer pilled that they were bitching about not being able to fucking buy a Nintendo Switch 2 because of how expensive it already is and then how the tariffs would make it even more expensive. But you honest to dont NEED to fucking buy the console day 1, save some money build up to it, put that shit on layaway whatever you'll get it eventually.

realized how much different iam from the typical Anon Babble user that day, felt like I was arguing with a bunch of kids.

I don't need iphone

Nah its because it was communist and they didn't pay their workers. zoomers are so brainwashed about communism.

Because you were. A lot of people are really retarded. Its interesting to note that if you look at real inflation numbers and prices from the past you'll find that consumer goods were more expensive but actually important shit like rent and property weren't. Its likely why boomers always look at all of zoomers gadgets as proof of wealth. In their day a tv would cost a whole months rent.

Nonsense.

free trade F-150 went from costing 35,000 to 80,000 in the last few years and they are made in Mexico with chinese parts. It isn't tariffs

boomers should not have outsourced production, womp womp.

No idea how they've got to 30k the obvious way I've fone it with got me just 12k. That being said iphone is also built without regard for assembly time, so end product adapted to more automated production etc. would be cheaper than that.

That's why AI is shit lol. It looked at labor costs. Cool. Where is the wholistic consideration? I know the question. Was is it was completely made in USA. The thing is the supply chain tho. It is highly unrealistic to assume it can be 100% made in USA. Lots of know-how is locked away behind patents etc. So you will end up with components being imported and therefore subject to tariffs. Components made in USA also will be made with higher labor cost. Which makes every single component more expensive. Also keep in mind regulations both Environmental and regarding workplace cost more money than in China or India. I highly doubt around $2000 as suggested by AI will be possible. It will be significantly higher.

What's probably going to happen is they find a tariff loophole for services, sell you the phone for cheap and then sell you the functionality as a service.

The point of the story is trying to calculate what the ultimate wet dream of retards would cost, i.e a 100% isolated US.

Only moving the foxcon part of the process to the US isn't making the entire iPhone in America. The display would still be Korean, the chip would still be taiwanese, the camera sensor Japanese, the battery Chinese and so on and so on.

This story goes through all the layers.

For something like the processor, to establish production in the US, it's not just about labor cost. If you want to consider a truly isolated US, you technically can't even establish that foundry with an ASML machine, because that's from Europe. So now you gotta somehow incorporate costs associated with the US establishing it's own production for EUV lithography systems.

Will this happen? No, ofcourse not, but celebrating isolationism but then getting angry and cherry picking when the costs associated with true isolation are highlighted makes you a fucking retard.

Yeah, imagine if we rid ourselves of 'Fast Fashion' and people just bought qualitative goods.

my conspiracy theory is they let search results become useless on purpose so we use ai instead.

Search was getting borderline useless aalready before AI. In particular the combination of searching for misspellings of what you searched for + synonyms of those misspellings made it impossible to be precise.

Manufacturing in a modern assembly line is labor intensive.

I get that none of you losers has ever worked or seen the inside of a factory IRL, but you can see pictures and video of what a modern assembly line looks like and you can find stories from 10 years ago of Chinese factory workers losing their jobs to automation. Even China is moving away from reliance on Chinese slave labor since robots can be made to work cheaper, more accurately, and more consistently.
Or do you suggest that these industries all moved to the Far East because us white Europeans couldn't figure out how to build pic related?

$30,000 Iphones

hallelujah

Fuck Iphones

I work in exactly that industry pal. Sure assembling PCBs is not the issue. It's what you assemble them with. The kind of components do not grow on trees. There is an insane amount of know-how in their design and manufacture which is patented. You can't just replace a sensor, chip or passive element with the next best thing. If you're just about final assembly then ok, sure it needs to be automated as much as possible, but that won't create jobs which were promised by Trump.

almost like they knew ai was coming

Then don't buy one.
The headline is completely hyperbolic and absolute bullshit. However, it would be better if it was true.

articles like this remind me of susan, the at-home worker of the future from the pandemic

Lol bullshit. Apple still wants to sell their phones and their profit margins on each phone is high. There is nothing special about China's labor force that these phones can't be made in the US.

This is what winning looks like you dumb libtard.
YOU MISSED

Not 30k but imo the cheapest one would land around 3k and the most expensive one around 5-7k considering minimum wages are involved.

Lmao @ burgers. You’ll gonna be very tired from all the winning (factory assembly work in company owned city, paid in coupons for food and shit like ford did in early xx century)

So you're saying that White Europeans forgot how semiconductors work and can't possibly build completely automated factories to make those domestically and we should remain reliant on countries that hate us for those things forever?

they live.png - 1024x575, 705.02K

Posted in another thread, but isn't this just proof of how little purchasing power the average citizen actually has?

Who cares. Use you old phone.

Modern assembly line is like a Ford factory 100 years ago.

car factory.jpg - 1536x1024, 430.03K

What's funny is the people manufacturers phones get paid slave wages but the executives and management get paid the highest wages in the world.
How strange

He won't leave. He'll run for a third (fourth) term and beat whoever the dems dig up in 2028. Then again in 2032. Then we'll get a brief moment where Donald Jr. wins two terms in a row before they roll out the Trump AI and then America will burn out like the jews always wanted and the whole world will celebrate with one big "Ehhh...Amelikkka!" because even when the country is dead, the whole world won't stop seething about it.

Global mass production is a modern capitalistic meme anyway.
It has to be reduced it's volume and devided the demand to local makers with developed technology compare to 100 years ago.

well, that's kind of the point of consumerism and whatever else. there's someone out there being paid badly so someone out there can be paid well or buy cheap goods. someone always loses

It also colonized what are today a double digit number of third world nations for their resources

Minimum wage is communism. Time to throw it out if america wants to compete.

We already knew all this. (((Economists))) have been lying for half a century. Anyone stupid enough to believe their lies deserves what they get.

There needs to be a mass of misinformation
Just for the lawlz

How many man hours do you believe are required to assemble an iPhone?
Seriously, I know none of you losers has ever held a job, but you can see pictures and video of modern assembly lines on the same computer you use to look at tranny porn.

100%!
Let’s just pay them in trumpcoin instead and sell them trump mcdonalds and trumpcoke!

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fordlândia

The person who builds, maintains and programs pic related will only earn $3 an hour.

The sort of factory you have in Mumbai isn't what we're going to be building here, Grupesh.

No anon, it's spelled (((could)))

Can you explain what task those workers are doing that we cannot build a robot to do right now?

But this old factory uses antiquated production methods.

And Ying Wong and Chow Duck are about to be put out of a job by pic related that works even cheaper than $5 an hour.

Based, I'm gonna drive to my bank using the ethenol fuel my county grows.

Who will pick the cotton!?

Seriously, I know none of you losers has ever held a job

My projection is off the charts

I'm a pathetic little cunt faggot cock sucker and use a site so you're all guilty of the same

Go vandalize a tesla faggot

opinion.gif - 1024x786, 272.84K

Quick way to quit receiving food from farmers.

Dekulaking time.

solar pannels are phones

You understand that people are cheaper from precise machinery? Also you do realise that if it would’ve been decided to even produce a robot for building a phone from components it requires time to develop one? You do understand that if such robot exists you wouldn’t have a job and therefore can’t afford that good?
Nigger you stupid?

b-but muh ai

Even if it can slap some code together it doesn’t mean that it can create, maintain and use complex machinery

IMG_2087.png - 403x500, 357.67K

has to hire 15 guys to turn the off and on again every 3 hours and update them every two weeks

Browns are cheaper

Maybe for the corporation but not for the society

you don't need an iphone

You should be shipped to the retard farm for believing Jewish lies.

It seems very high, but is probably true, because the production capacity required to build the numerous parts of an iPhone do not exist in the USA and it would be extremely expensive to build it overnight.

Apple would most likely come to the conclusion, that it would be more economical to just pass on tariffs to the consumer and hope that Americans start smuggling in iPhones to the USA from Mexico and Canada, to avoid paying a 60+ percent surcharge.

All said, Trump is massive and senile buffoon.

$30,000 Iphones MAGA

YOU'LL OWN NOTHING
EAT ZE BUGS
AND BE HAPPY!

>I'm a pathetic little cunt faggot cock sucker

You should try cutting down then.

You understand that people are cheaper from precise machinery?

Then how come so much electronics manufacturing is being automated even in China? I have a friend who has been in the consumer electronics industry since the 80s. He visits the Far East often and he tells me that the state of the art there is one person putting a 4x8 sheet of circuit board in one end and another person pulling cut, printed, and assembled boards out of the other and no human hands in between doing any assembly.

if such robot exists you wouldn’t have a job

Literally any repetitive assembly line type task can be automated. I can assure you my job is very secure and barring a complete collapse to barbarism I'm well prepared to survive that.
Considering my life doesn't revolve around buying the latest cellphone every year, I expect I'll get by OK.
Though I really do appreciate your concern and I'm sure you're very smart, so tell us, if we made you emperor of the USA what would your first edict be to sort all of this out?

>has to hire 15 guys to turn the off and on again every 3 hours and update them every two weeks

Source: Mom's basement.
But I'll bite, if a Tesla factory can make 550,000 cars per year what does that figure in labor costs per unit?

proletariat.gif - 800x780, 40.74K

I'm anti-work but I don't look like this.

I DO sound like this though. Now put the lotion in the fucking basket.

I wonder if this is how they're finally gonna put it into play. Just make everything so fucking expensive you have no choice but to rent everything.

enjoy

They've been doing that since 9/11. Did everyone just emerge from cryochambers this week or something?

I don’t know why phones need to be workstation computers with ai

I mean the biggest issue is retirement funds being linked to stock market investments. If you were planning to retire in the next few years you for sure took a hit.

some jew who hates white people said this

thanks op

REEEEEEE I need my disposable trinkets NOW!

I for one do not believe that exporting nothing but inflationary fiat is a viable long term strategy and I feel that bringing industry back to our country is best for our people and national security in the long run. Sorry if a few faggots have to pay more money they don't have for shit they don't need to impress people they don't like. I'll probably invest more in credit card companies as all of this shakes out because it seems like the average golem literally cannot go without the latest consumer electronics trinket each year.

soy.gif - 413x243, 49.82K

if we don't use child/slave labor our shit will increase 3400% in price

Uh, i don't think big corpos should be saying this out loud?

and computer chips were 1000x less prevalent than now and cost far more

could

Fuck me the 1st Amendment needs to go.

IPhone has always been shit anyway

exponentially

triples

Now how exponents work, lol.

Anyways. What does this “made in China: consist of, exactly? Every Apple product is stamped with “assembled in China”, but I suspect maybe this is a fancy way of saying “made”, since “made in China” sounds low-quality? But then every video I’ve seen out of Foxconn or any other mfg plant shows workers doing nothing but ASSEMBLING iPhones. If that’s what Foxconn’s involvement in the production process is limited to, why not automate? It’s repetitive work, it never changes (for a SKU), and it’s just the kind of thing robots are best suited to doing. You’d update the machines annually for new releases, but gf or a company like Apple, I’m sure that’s trivial.

So I take it there is more being done in China?

If you were planning to retire in the next few years you for sure took a hit.

If your retirement strategy was conditional on infinite money printing and 15-20% stock gains every year AND you cannot afford to get by with 10% reduction in your cash flow you probably weren't really ready to retire anyway. Sorry, not sorry. Off yourself, hope you get reincarnated as a higher caste and plan better next time around.

needful 8.jpg - 1024x1024, 152K

killing journos

When I become President/God emperor of this great land, on day one I am executing all journalists, personally, looney tunes style. Dropping pianos and anvils on them, making them run headfirst into a tunnel painted on the side of a cliff, etc. it’s gonna be fun.

On day 2 we do the same to humanities professors

Day 3 we ban women from going outside

Day 4 we cut out every leftist’s tongue for their lies and rape of language.

Vote for anon.

i prefer real phones (android) anyway

A car should last you 20 years, not 5 like what current consooomers do. If you produce a car that is designed to have malfunctions and need work done within said time without unexpected failure you should be shot in the back of the head.
Modern engineers design stuff as "made to break". There is 30 year old microwaves, ovens, coffee pots, and TVs that still work.
There is 5 year old ones that don't.

Good post. I, too, and interesting in knowing how the hell they came up with $30k per iPhone.

Can you care to explain the ford model T and it's original production run? Holy shit watching 3rd worlders cope is so fucking funny. Add another %5 tariff to this chattel nation lol.

Tbh AI and automation now make it so that is no longer true. But then what is a robot if not a slave, only without any ethical concerns.

Could be nice. An entire slave race of robots who do not eat or sleep, making cool and useful shit in abundance for us to enjoy.

New information coming out, they could cost infinity+2!

So I take it there is more being done in China?

In electronics this is largely due to a phenomenon capitalized on by IBM back in the 80s (and why Dell became a thing). Many individual components are fungible and are produced in various other Far East countries, so this production run you might buy a batch of resistors from Taiwan and next month Malaysia might give you .01 cents cheaper bid and you buy from them so you buy from them. Just buying components from the lowest bidder every production run saves costs by encouraging competition in parts suppliers but you can't really say where anything is made or what percent is made where because it changes every time you order parts.
But yes, all of that assembly can be automated and every year more and more assembly work is being automated in China because even Chinese labor is more expensive than just building machines once and having a handful of highly skilled professionals maintain and update as needed.

The Soviet Union hollowed out its heartland trying to supply a bunch of puppet states that hated them anyways.
Good thing no one made that mistake again.

Globalist useful idiots believe this LOL

Okay it may cost more but you would also value it much more and its produced by white people... wait

Weird, I thought I was missing something then. So how come Apple hasn’t automated away all the human labor involved in its manufacturing?

You don't need a Switch 2

I can hardly wait for the autistic screeching, because a Switch 2 costs 1000 dollars + tax + tip in the USA.

The mass smuggling of Switch 2 consoles, iPhones and other consumer products from Mexico to the USA will also be glorious.

MIGA!!!!

Would could have guessed the half chink would say something like this?

jews are vile

c0f.png - 2208x1242, 934.03K

i’ll get by ok

No, you’re not… MIGA

I would agree with you but they are dropping the price in the US by $50. I guess that was just a cope/bait post.

translation: apple was using slave labor
should be in jail

They also could be priced at $600
MAnufactoring of iphone aborad is $50-$100 from nothing to product
Say that Amrimutts need x5 in wages, and manufactoring iphone parts apart assembly still does need some skill and paid labor, you can have cheaper Iphones if you kick the teeth in of Apple and their x20 margins on products.

i will now have to pay 400$ for the jeans I paid 20$ for

I showed those libs well!

wait why my wage dropped

i was suppose to be winning AAACK

This is you

iphones are gay and retarded
-God

i need to use slave labor instead of paying my countrymen a living wage

You should stop posting.

Can you send me a link to the jeans that were $20 and now are $400? Or is this all just made up in your head?

If you manufacture in high income country everything becomes more expensive. It also means that things that aren’t produced in said country are taxed (tarrifed) e.g. screens.
So… Realistically speaking US made iphone will be at least 3k.
But wait
There’s more
ONLY IF SALARIES ARE STAGNANT! Otherwise you’ll spiraling into inflation

Articles like these are why we need strict anti-malicious lying regulations. Libel and slander arent legal, lying in media shouldnt be either.

The USA has thousands of shuttered factories and tens of millions of people that have worked for them sitting idle from the offshoring when everything went to shit.

I’m not saying it’s a good thing. Far from it, but the reality is that someone didn’t think about all those factors

Meanwhile in the South tooling experts are abundant but they make parts for lawn mowers. See: smarter every day touring such a buisiness. They even claim their dies are better than the chinks.

Please read my mentally ill histrionic fan fiction

how come Apple hasn’t automated away all the human labor involved in its manufacturing?

Because it costs money I suspect. I have a small business and have been gradually automating but you don't have infinity cash flow to do it all at once so you prioritize by automating the most labor intensive tasks first. How many hours of actual hands-on human labor do you suppose are involved in assembling an iPhone right now?

Not my heckin iPhone!

Media hysterics keep getting more unhinged

Gullible retards keep believing it

Maybe iphones shouldn't exist if they can only be made with slave labor.

$30,000 if produced in America

If this was even true it would only prove that tariffs are absolutely necessary to protect American jobs.

The mass smuggling of Switch 2 consoles, iPhones and other consumer products from Mexico to the USA will also be glorious.

I have a friend from Poland who comes over to visit several times a year and funds his trips by buying phones, tablets, consoles, and laptops to re-sell in Europe dodging the taxes there. How come this sort of thing was never bad when only you guys were doing it?

B-but my Nintendo Switcherino!!!!

back2reddit3.jpg - 750x1000, 74.42K

Or he could just be full of shit

WOW MAKING IT IN THE USA IS SOMEHOW 30x MORE EXPENSIVE

Even though it's not

BUT BELIEVE IT ANYWAY

Cause reasons

It just because I said so OKAY?

sorry not sorry

How do I know you're an r/t-d tourist?

I got ten of the bitches already. I will never buy another one then.

If they are also sanctioned then prices ofc will increase as well.
Afaik there aren't many lithium mines in the US.
But we are maybe talking about a doubling if they are also hit with sanctions.
It's still a far way to the 15 fold increase in price that the article mentions.

It’s weird how much boomers hated their own country and offspring . I wonder if it was all the lead in the air from car exhaust

And maybe we don't akshually need smartphones?
Devices that allow them to control our every step and manipulate our judgment?

Your birth year starts with 20 doesn't it? Zoom zoom

That's not why it went overseas, it's because of the raw resource mining was achieved in Asia, it's part of how they encapsulated it originally, plus massive industrial subsidies. It wasn't just 'market forces' lol. Kids these days.

Not an argument

I'll accept your concession.

>i will now have to pay 400$ for the jeans I paid 20$ for

I paid $60 a pair for some flannel lined work pants that are made in USA with American grown cotton this winter and that's $10 cheaper than the Chinese made Carhartt.
Without sounding like an ass blasted poor, explain how companies buying textiles from China having to pay a few dollars more FOB is my problem?
Let me guess, you also believe that modern textile manufacturing looks like a Victorian sweatshop too, right?

its around 500~600 on total components, some parts are made in japan and south korea so its expensive.
but with the current tariffs the production cost would add around 230~240$
so yea 30k iphone is just a bait headline.

these baseless speculative numbers they throw out there.

Whoa! Cool it with the antisemitic remarks.

Or is this all just made up in your head?

Shit, these are even cheaper than when I bought them a couple months ago.
If I didn't have to go work this morning I'd post screencaps of FOB price for comparable pants from China and screencaps of prices on the brands who sell clothing manufactured there.

Trump rapes the economy with his retarded tariffs

I don't like that at all.

Switchfags suffer

Applefags suffer

Lol?

heheh ya u dummy Australian, get em guys.

der.png - 258x334, 133.76K

OH SOLLY THE DUMBPHONE IS NOW 100.000 COINS RETARD

thats bullshit and they know it. the parts dont cost over a hundred dollars on material alone. now if you add the assembly of those parts, you cant make me believe it'll be 29900$ in labour costs. cut down your managers profit margin, your CEO salary. you want to keep the company alive? stop living like gods. where is all their liberal pandering now when they can prove it? workers rights? equality? oh wait, equity? where are those morals now when they should matter the most?

Fuck iPhones.

All my homies use Xiaomi top for that price

the production cost would add around 230~240$

That's not too much for a luxury gadget, that's rather acceptable. Not every hairdresser needs to own an iPhone.

It was just resources goyim

Ignore the suicide nets

we'll get that manufacturing jobs

no it'll be automated

Nigga you're retarded?

"What do 'The Kids' like? iPhones? WELL LETS TELL THEM THEY'LL BE MORE EXPENSIVE NOW!"

That's all this is.

The Jeffersonian vision of America was right, every man woman and child would be working on a farm to earn their keep everyday. But instead we got Hamilton’s vision.

Thoth has blessed this post

Kek based, everything is just cope from 3rd wolders at this point.

Wow, they really pay those slaves in 3rd world shitholes nothing. Am I allowed to say that, or is it too bigoted?

My Polish friend Imports dozens of consumer electronics items from the USA and dodges taxes

Total bullshit and even illegal. There is no way to get that past the border control. Not to mention that that prices for consumer electronics are about the same in Europe and the USA.

Get fucked Apple. Excuses to move jobs to China when they didn't have tech superiority. It was for pure greed. We built their tech.
You knew that the US will rebuild the supply or wouldn't have planned to return to the US in February.

Apple.png - 541x112, 9.97K

>we'll get that manufacturing jobs

I never said this, I said we could get back manufacturing industry. But yes there are lots of jobs required to build, maintain, and operate modern factories just not the jobs of 100 years ago where low IQ monkeys sit around punching one hole in a shoe and passing it down the line to the next monkey to punch the next hole.

yea i dont like iphones, but i think its a fair price but they are likely going to make it even pricier because companies cant take a hit on their gains.

but it is you who lose

soviet people were the slaves you mong

There is no way to get that past the border control.

"This is my work phone/tablet/laptop and this is my personal"
"This is the Switch I used on the plane on the way over to the USA"
"Of course I brought my PS5 with me from home when I went to the USA so I could play Fortnite every night"
Though to be fair he'd usually buy the laptops from the Dell outlet for deep discount and use them for a couple months before re-selling, but yeah, he did pretty well with electronics.
How much (((VAT tax))) do you pay on those sorts of things, Muhammed?

Some anon got what sounds like accurate info from chatGPT. The answer is “not that much, but not trivial, and worth automating away”

And this is Apple we’re talking about. Largest company in the world by market cap. Don’t they have like half a trillion in cash or something? They can totally invest a couple billion in automating the production lines of their products and make that money right back. It’s worth it not just in the long run, but even the immediate future. They’d also become immune to unforeseen things like changes in the price of labor or tariffs and what not.

made fully in the US, you can assemble them in the US it would increase cost by $80 which apple can eat easy

What are you trying to say the devices made by slave kids that we rely on and brainwashing us to accept our masters? Take your meds

in the OP they use "fully" to con the reader

deepC1.png - 651x461, 23.88K

These 20 brand new Apple pro laptops are my personal items, Mr. Border Control man. I have no intention of selling them to finance my trip to the USA

Nice try.

you dont need a fucking iPhone retard, just socialize on the old family desktop computer like we did in the old days, genuinely what the fuck does an iPhone do that an old pay phone on every corner couldn't other than spoon-feed slop and jewish propaganda to you 24/7

Do these retarded people who write these articles do any research at all?
iPhone assemblers at Foxconn in chinkville make $10.50/hr to over $20/hr. The low wage thing isn’t an issue. It’s the lack of American ingenuity and drive is what’s seriously lacking. All the useless zoomer faggots need to start doing manual labor or working in an assembly factory. Bugs are okay doing repetitive tasks at a consistent workmanship. All the RX drugged up young “adults” here need a real awakening. Plus, all the boomers need to die off already.
t. Millennial chud

Confirmation bias and TDS suffering leftists is an ugly combination

Hong Kong was also big into the cheap, shitty products game in the 70s as well.

The problem isn't just labour for the phone itself. It's labour for the creation of every component that goes into making the entire thing, as well as the cost of each "now made in America!" component used to build it.

You don't need an iphone.

You know how I know this is bullshit?
Valve made the steam controller in a fully automated factory it built in America.

It was cheaper and better built than other controller options.

You Americans are fucking retarded.

I can't remember exactly. But I think in the 90s all computer components were made in taiwan. My father started with a 386 back then.

no its not spic, parts made in india and assembled by actual slaves in china in suicide proof buildings. iphaggot's cost around $50-$100 and a good chunk of that is just shipping and handling

iPhones cost zero dollars
Because i won’t buy it
