We tried to warn you. Everyone tried to warn you. Now the American Century is over
The Monday market crash won’t just bruise Trump’s ego—it’ll puncture it wide open, spilling paranoia and megalomania all over the Situation Room. This is a man who treats economic indicators like applause meters at a rally, and when those numbers go red, he doesn’t introspect—he lashes out. The last time things slipped, he blew up a tribal gathering in Yemen like it was a video game. Now, with Wall Street tanking and whispers of incompetence swirling, he’s not just looking for a distraction—he’s thirsting for a redemption arc written in fire and blood, and Iran is the nearest stage.
What comes next won’t be strategy—it’ll be a tantrum with global consequences. Trump doesn’t calculate; he improvises rage. His advisors know this, the Pentagon knows this, and Iran sure as hell knows this. The markets dip, he spirals, and suddenly the world’s dealing with a boomer president turned third-world warlord, huffing his own press releases while drones do the talking. The Monday crash won’t just rattle the economy—it might be the opening salvo of a needless war, born from one man’s fear of looking weak and his addiction to being feared.

EVERY company that thinks China's or Canada's or anyone elses interests are more important than American interest DESERVES to fucking fail. REAL Americans will be fine.
The president FINALLY does something that could actually open up more small businesses
Because he isn't and his tariff war is so WILDLY ill conceived that nothing it wants to accomplish will be accomplished. First off, you can't use tariffs to both fight a trade war to get "reciprocal trade" (as Trump keeps parroting) AND use them as a stick to beat companies into coming back to the US. It's one or the other. Either the tariffs drop once "reciprocal trade" is reached, or he keeps them up regardless of whatever any other country offers us at a negotiation table because it's to help domestic manufacturing.
This half-assed lunacy where one day we have tariffs, the next day we don't, the third day who knows is anathema to investment and is absolutely not what companies want or need in the US. No one who has money to invest and start businesses will do so and they will likely wait til Trump is out of office before they make any decisions.
Secondly - if the stock market crashes, all these businesses start suffering/going under. And if that happens, there will be MASS LAYOFFS. So not only will Trump have failed to bring any jobs back, he will just have destroyed millions of actual jobs.
I wanted globohomo to end
what did you think that looked like exactly
Kek, I get the sentiment but you aren't seeing the bigger picture. You guys will suffer hard. I'm from a poor country so people here are used to hard time's. It will be a rude awakening for your country
fuck off. The world tariffs the fuck out of the USA. That shit needs to stop. If they are going to tariff us then we do it to them. Trump made himself very fucking clear, come negotiate. He does not expect these tariffs to stay the way they are. He goes big so he has room to negotiate.
I'm 41 years old with no stocks, no house of my own, and quite frankly no assets other than some vehicles and toys. I work at a fucking gas station making $50k/year. Do you really think I give a fuck about layoffs or economic downfall?! I will be the least effected by any of it. I'll still have my shitty job that still pays for my lifestyle. I'll be fucking fine. If anything I ight be able to get a better job in 5 years when shit starts to turn around here.
Compared to 40 years ago more Americans are living in hardtimes now.
Homeownership? Down
Financed used beater cars? All time high
Cost to eat? $20/person/day
Average income? $35k/yr
Average Rent? $1,800/month
Get the picture? All you see is glam from YouTube and the like. You don't see the desperation because you don't live here.
Doesn’t it support their claim of regulation in the free market? Dodd Frank was enacted and the only serious market crashes in 17 years were both non-financial in origin and under a republican. It seems like a real success story for the democrats, they saved an entire sector of jobs for the nation, the entire economy, and retained free trade in the global economy while doing it, with only light regulation.
The president FINALLY does something that could actually open up more small businesses in America
By making all products instantly more expensive, reducing consumption and putting you at 45% recession risk by year's end? You are fucking dumb, MAGAnigger
It's funny you think that's hard, people that are lucky here earn 600 usd s month and and a lot of those people have to support many family members. Not just that pay rent among other expenses.you have no idea what hard times are
All of their pensions is stocks
i don't own stocks so i don't give a shit what happens to the stock market
I do but I'll do what I did during COVID, hold, wait for bottom, buy, make thousands.
that do not matter until they are like aged 65+. It's going to be rough for some people, yes, but not the majority and surely not the future.
I currently buy everything local. My last large purchase was a snowmobile that was assembled about 200 miles from me with an engine built about 60 miles from me. All my food is local with the exception of some fruits in the summer, which I quite frankly can go without if need be. I basically eat meat and dairy for like 80% of my food. I bake my own bread, grow my own herbs and spices, and grow cannabis in my basement using hydro (legal here).
The world tariffs the fuck out of the USA. That shit needs to stop. If they are going to tariff us then we do it to them.
In key sectors and in specific industries yes I fully agree. There needs to be retooling of some of these imbalances and a reshoring of key defense related industries. But what Trump is doing now is basically like trying to use a brick to remove a brain tumor. It's way too broad, way too underthought and under cooked, and punishes countries who aren't actually tariffing us at all (they only have a deficit because their citizens are too poor to afford our products) while letting other countries completely off the hook.
And again - even if we assumed this was a well thought out negotiation tactic, that still means all these supposed jobs he wants to bring back by using tariffs as a stick won't come back. Once we renegotiate favorable terms (if we ever do) companies will just move back overseas. For example - Vietnam was a big place of US investment (during Trump's first term no less) to get manufacturing out of China and into friendlier territory. If we somehow come to amiable terms with them, we'll just have our companies stay there.
I get you're hurting, I get you feel like you have no hope as is. But burning down the country and saying fuck you to the world this fucking carelessly is not the answer. And you will feel the pain once people stop coming to your gas station to get gas because they can no long afford to own and maintain a car.
Oh wont someone please think about the wall street bankers
No you don't. The phone or computer you post this from comes from a very long supply chain. Same goes for your snowmobile, which likely has chips and parts from all over the world. The local produce you eat is grown with imported Canadian fertilizer and so on. You have clue how small businesses work
Based. I voted for this.
proud of his thousands
MAGA confirmed
nonsense. A LOT of industries have left America very specifically because of unfair trade agreements. Obviously there are some industries that are just not coming back but we need more to stay. These deals are not being negotiated to bring these companies back as much as it is to keep them from leaving in the first place.
I will personally be fine. I live in a upper middle class neighborhood with my dad paying him only $600/month in rent. He bought this house back in 1999 and pays like an $800 mortgage on it. He is retired and doing well for himself even though he knows his stocks are taking a hit (although he also knows they were artificially pumped up during COVID so he knew this downturn was coming). The gas station I work at is not going anywhere and will not lose any business. It is in a upper class neighborhood in a city that does not allow more gas stations to be built unless the population demands it. The owners are catholics and they fucking adore me. The service industry here is huge too. Any place basically starts at $15-$20/hour around here. Even if a meteor took out the gas station I would still find work the next day or two afterwards.
lol. I've heard this fertilizer thing a million times and I still cannot believe people are this fucking stupid. Agriculture has been around for EONS you dumb fuck. Shit grows EVERYWHERE!!!!!! Fertilizer is for industrial agriculture whereas I'm eating shit grown in gardens and private farms within 100 miles from me. Fertilizer could go away tomorrow and I would still grow shit and still be able to buy shit grown by other people. Fuck off with your fertilizer nonsense lol
A LOT of industries have left America very specifically because of unfair trade agreements
No, they left because it labor costs in foreign countries are far cheaper than here in the states. Tariffs from us would be in place to address that imbalance as it would artificially raise the prices on foreign goods to in theory match the price that American made goods would cost based on how much it takes to pay Americans to make said goods. If we don't keep those tariffs in place then no one will reinvest in the US. Likewise unless tariffs are kept in place AND Trump does something to actually incentivize domestic investment (because tariffs are not an incentive, they are a stick not a carrot), we will see more lower end manufacturing jobs, whatever remains, leave the US.
It already was over. It's been over since 9/11. It just hadn't gotten bad enough for people to think about/accept yet.
We voted for this. Look up the definition of isolationism.
Again, you have no clue. You claim you live in a middle class neighborhood. That lifestyle is possible through efficiency and low cost of basic goods.
Can you grow a pumpkin by fertilizing it with Billy Bob's shit in his back garden? Sure. How much is it going to cost you, the final consumer, to buy it? 25$.
B-but I would still buy it to support the local economy
Good on you, that's not however true for 90% of the people that live in your neighborhood. This means Billy Bob's shit grown pumpkins goes out of business and fires all employees because it can't profit anymore. This has deep ramifications, because the people that worked at Billy Bob's are now out of a job and will consume much less. The other small businesses that sold materials and services to Billy Bob's lose a big client and the entire network collapses.
I'm sure you'll be fine in your gas station bro, nothing in the world around you could possibly affect you and your life
lol. low cost of goods?! since when? this is why I grow all my own shit and make my own food and rely on local farmers and growers. I live in Minnesota and my local economy basically IS healthcare, services, and agriculture. I'm sure it wouldn't be difficult to ramp up iron and lumber industry here too. I kinda hope the oil industry picks up again around here and I'm sure I could bag me a 6 figure income.
Mr. President. They have declared war sir.
since when
Since trade exists. I'm sure you can buy your locally produced computer for 1000$ though, good luck
leftists rooting for americans to suffer as usual.
Take ur medicine faggot.
I'd still migrate over there knowingly they're still gonna come out better. Plus I can blow your brains out for trespassing.
We never left the 2008 recession, it's been a steady slide downwards for over a decade.
You lost
This is just the cover story like Covid.
There are deeper issues at play here.
the world lost
The West has continued the same strategy since 2008.
Debt and currency expansion.
The Western ruling class is "Too big to fail."
Over 50 countries cucked already and are willing to negotiate.
Trump won.
