The US Dollar would have been replaced as the reserve currency long ago if there were a viable replacement. As much as everyone is getting into a tizzy over the tariffs, trust in the Euro, Yuan, and any other currency is lower than it is in the US Dollar.
What's more likely is that countries start making an effort to trade in currency pairs. What's funny is this will also encourage them to have balanced trade with each other.

The purpose of a reserve asset is to preserve value and have large liquid markets. Nothing physical can be as liquid as digital assets, when we buy USD as a reserve we don't ship physical dollars across the world.
