Stalker 2 SUCKS compared to the original trilogy modded or what you can get out of Anomaly or GAMMA. They gutted the only thing that makes STALKER unique, the A-life system

Graphics haven't noticeably improved at all in the past 10 years. That's why the Switch 2 is more than powerful enough to play the games we want now and Nintendo won the console war. If the PS6 comes out in 2027 like people are saying it will be the worst upgrade of all time. FFS the best looking game today came out in 2020.

I've been playing Dwarf Fortress for many years now, I started when it didn't even have Z-levels yet. Tome4 and ADoM are also great games that I've been playing forever. When I want to play a 3d rpg I usually play Morrowind. It's amazing how games that are twenty years old still have better writing and mechanics than modern normieslop.

I liked the Silent Hill 2 remake, but uhm... yea, the gaming industry is taking a huge toll (there are almost no PS5 exclusives and it's been YEARS since of its release lmfaooo) and so does the music industry (no prominent hits as of the latest years), the movie industry is basically surviving on the "shock value" and gay woke remakes, and uhm... what's left? Yea, the whole entertainment industry is at its end.

I only started playing video games because they scratched the same itch as stories like Beowulf, LoTR, Arthurian legend, etc. They don’t rally make fantasy games or even novels inspired by that stuff any more so the last game I bought was the Elden Ring DLC

sure that was a golden age for videogames (because there weren't licensing agreements) but it's still a publishing sort of industry so 90% of the crap it presses out isn't going to appeal to you if you have a specific taste

I've been running randomizers on old games. It's pretty fun and good way to pass time until silksong drops. My notable favorites though in no particular order

Elden ring (any of the roll slop games are great though)
Crypt Custodian (flew under the radar but was way better than I imagined)
Resident evil 2 or 4 (4 is better)

There are other things I drop in and out of but I can't be assed to put much time investment into most games. Oblivion remake got me about 10 hours or so of enjoyment. Worth the 14 day sub to game pass for a buck. AOE2 is also great to jump into here and there. Thanks for reading my blog

The only 2 ones i play consistently are:

RDR 2, it ruined every other open world game for me
