My political beliefs can't be distilled down into a single word but since I'm on Anon Babble you can probably make some inferences. Tipping as a regular activity is stupid but I rarely am in situations anymore where tipping is expected. The pandemic made me in-source grooming activities like hair cuts and I already knew how to cook.
I suspect the ever growing sense of entitlement tipped workers have will eventually drive them out of the market as people either do more for themselves or go to businesses that adopt labor strategies that remove the need for tipped workers.

In a restaurant I would round 95 up to 100 and that's fine. Service people are paid well enough here and don't rely on tips.

We live in a small town and frequent a couple restaurants. We have had the same waitresses for 5+ years now. My wife tips 20 to 25%. I hate it, but the waitresses take good care of us.

I tip the closest bill I have to 15% rounded down if I'm taking my family out for dinner and we're there for more than an hour with decent servers. Otherwise I only tip for great or personalized service like bartenders that have my drink prepped and talk about good recommendations for when I'm not there.

NatSoc. In my ideal society tipping would not be necessary because any full time worker would receive pay congruent with at least a minimum standard of living. That being said there would be no women or minorities working the job either, so these would be white males working to support a family. Since I can't have that world as of yet I tip very judiciously. A white male server who doesn't seem to be a faggot gets 25% for good service. If you're a woman or minority and I plan on coming back i tip the minimum I can get away with without having my food spit in. Parcel deliveries get a little 1€/2€ depending on weight if they actually show up. Since I started that, much better service.

I form relationships and teach people how to not make s ticket for food but then memorize prices and just pocket the profits the company otherwise receive.
