I've been playing it and had a lot of fun but the game is just too short, like 20-30 hours, that's too little for any rpg, the game tries to balance it by making the enemies harder and limiting the amount of damage you can do to them, then near the prologue they give you the ability to break the damage limit, this is so you can't farm levels too early and breeze through the game, also the lack of items feels weird for an rpg but I guess they wanted to try something different by just giving you a couple of healing items and forcing you to use abilities in battle. hopefully if they make a second game they can fix some of the problems, like for example the difficulty, the 3 options are basically the same, only difference is that the timing of the parries changes a little and the damage you take, very weird.
