Every retailer should be showing how much you're paying for Trump tariffs

Why are you against transparency, /pol:?

IMG_0823.jpg - 720x689, 93.94K

Isn't that like anti american?

Also show how much extra they are charging for putting up signs saying how much the tariffs are.

Only if they also display how much the company itself paid for the product(I'll be fair and include shipping cost).

Job interview cancelled

IMG_4876.jpg - 1125x1022, 385.75K

lefts simping for china

They will never stop even after jobs come back. They're deranged

Imagine being a simp for big business lol

I agree. Every retailer should be forced to show how much useless plastic garbage is made in china.

If it's from overseas, how is it shipped by ground?

You know what else they show? Exactly what I'll be paying at the register.

Go to Men's Warehouse, nigger. Why would you order a suit online. Are you retarded?

Explain why the company should bear the bad rap for Trump's decisions.
Trump's cultists are allergic to accountability.

There are no tariffs if you buy American. Go MAGA

No, that isn't free market capitalism. That's basically sharing which is fundamentally communism. The Good Lord Christ doesn't want us to be communists.

Oh no think of the poor multinational jewish owned globohomo corporations!!

It's a fucking tax

this guy has been a lefty NPC for years. Somebody please find an old tweet from him where he said corporations need to pay more taxes

Are lefties finally realizing that a "corporate tax" always goes down to the consumer.

showing how much you're paying for

why dont you list costs for green energy and climate change regs?
btw
you missed the tariff boat
most countries have already kneeled and made a deal with trump
trade war averted

2025

Still using Amazon

They lied about going to space, bro.

Leftists always react like three weeks late because they are mentally ill and can’t even show up to a job

it's a tax

No shit, but leftists don't get to complain about taxes.

W-we must lie for Trump!

We must.. w-we must cover up the effects of Trump's actions!!!!

Why don't you demand they show their costs and profit margins?

That's a Deep State social media account. Influence peddling. Corraling opinions

Yes, show me where the cheap plastic bullshit was made, so I am reminded not to buy it.

Literally what country has a 170% tariff placed on their goods?
I call bullshit. I don't doubt the retailer is framing it that way but they're lying.

By this logic, they should also reveal their actual cost for the product so we can see what the markup is.

The cost of what exactly?
In modern days the seller is often the manufacturer.

Because it's not transparency when only selective pieces are disclosed
Show me the entire cost breakdown, including tariffs, and I can support this

I suddenly love transparency!

Where was this outcry when meat and vegetable prices doubled in 2023-2024? Prices stayed high after the “covid supply line issues” excuse wore off and it was a contributing factor to Biden getting dumpstered

MIGA tards have no thought process and believe every American is a millionaire but their just keep sucking Donald’s meat and bending over for him.

those talking points don't make sense pajeet

You could have typed anything and yet wrote the most retarded sentence.

I wanna see the price and origin of every component, the mark up, the profit being made. Thats true transparency. If you only list tariff prices I assume you hate america and should have your assets seized by the great trumpus

You don't know what "cost" means, but I'm the pajeet

I don't know who needs to hear this, but...

This is a fucking redditor disqualifier, you can ignore everything else after hearing that.

In modern days the seller is often the manufacturer.

said to prove they couldn't know their own operating and production costs and use that to determine pricing like every manufacturer ever

you don't know what cost means
tariffs are clear cut
it is % on top of the price

Anti Trump cultists are deranged

no, anon. They're retarded

That's literally what your cheeto president said just last week about Amazon showing the tariff cost

You are a fucking newfag retard.

newfag.jpg - 778x430, 44.93K

You're an enormous retard lmao

jewish owned globohomo corporations

Stupid retarded monkey trump is already bending over for the jews and Israel.

IMG_1298.jpg - 1080x1080, 144.23K

Bomboclat

the problem is, there were tariffs previously but no one said shit about it. this is obvious just anti-trump

The phone company used to itemize every crazy little surcharge -- spanish american war tax, free phones for niggers fund, hearing aids for the deaf tax, communications regulatory financing fee, state sales tax, i'm a lineman for the county by glenn campbell tax -- until the government made it illegal. So Trump can do the same and make it illegal to talk about tariffs. It's anti-Semitic, you know.

I support that - on Amazon you really need to hunt to find if something was made in China. This way you could just tell by the tariff amount.

previously you had small package exemption
$800
the tariff was 0

now that removed, it is over

I assumed it would be a Democrat bringing the future where you will own nothing and be happy. I never thought it would be a Republican.

So its the disgusting kikes killing muzzies vs the disgusting kikes hollowing out the lifeblood of my nation? Hm not a difficult choice

brooklyn parrot compliant

Okay, and?

no they aren't, this is so dumb. you the customer, do not pay tariffs at time of purchase, unlike sales tax.

the importer pays the tariffs which are based on country of origin. this is no different than other costs to the company, such as transportation (freight), insurance, warehousing, etc. are we supposed to line item those as well as part of the product? no that's retarded.

the company sets the MSRP (retail usually wants 25% markup from wholesale) and that's basically cost + profit margin. the END price is a combination of everything that it costs to get that product from ideation -> design -> production -> packaging -> logistics.

So you don't split out the R&D costs of things, or the production costs, or packaging costs, or other non-tarriff logistics even though those costs are all volatile with the market. so why single out tariffs?

it's totally a political stunt to make Trump look bad for trying to reign in trade abuse.

Republican future is stop buying Chinese cheap bullshit that breaks in a year and go back to buying vintage things that fucking work for decades.

They should just buy American

it is impossible to move a factory in a day

It's buying overpriced American shit that breaks in a year because it's made by potheads and retards, with no option to buy Chinese shit that breaks in a year, and paying even more for German or Japanese shit that actually lasts.

and this is exactly what allowed the influx of all the cheap Chinese knock-off and dropship sellers on Amazon, the rise of Shein and Temu, etc.

It’s not a “tax” because the suppliers and distributors could eat the coast but they don’t so just like them you could choose not to pay ether
It’s about choices
You don’t get to choose to pay taxes

Show me such a product. I'm fine with JDM stuff, but you're wrong about American made.

I’d rather the kikes that will at least adapt the culture rather than the jews who would make everybody but them slaves forever
One would have a future the other would have only Israel exist.

IMG_1300.png - 1284x1999, 390.54K

Its hilarious watching idiots get worked up over this and not inflation, which is an unconstitutional regressive consumption tax that increases prices 10x what these tariffs will.

Retards should have to pay the retard tax

yes, but now you have 300% tariff and no OTHER products
inventory will last 14 days and you will have empty shelves

Actually we're getting both, because the GOP is spending like Obama and Trump is creating supply shocks.

There are no tariffs if you buy American

This kek

American cars

Not only that, it's also up to the companies on how much they want to raise prices, if at all.

every company is going to tho, so it's effectively the same

no, it isn't because no all of them aren't and not all the same amount. it's market competition, and less margin is better than no sale.

let's take Apple for example, if they are deciding to raise their price proportional to the Chinese tariff (assuming Made in China). Samsung, one of their biggest competitors in mobile, may decide not to because their phones might be made in Korea or some other place. Or they decide to only raise it by 50% of the tariff because they are fine with lower margins. This puts pressure on Apple because now if people have to decide between $1500-2000 iPhone or a $1000 Galaxy... people might go with the latter. It's basic economics.

a good example would be Lectric, which is the #1 e-bike maker right now. they just unveiled their XP4 bike and kept it the same price as their existing 3.0 lineup, explicitly saying they won't raise prices due to tariffs. how could that be?!

cars are not a consumer item
it is a finance meme / insurance scam

necessity breeds innovation. markets will adjust and adapt. for the things you mention these aren't essential items like food, water, basic supplies.

oh no 4K tvs and laptops will be out of stock

what ever will I do...

you will get riots

the Ford made in Mexico or the Honda made in Ohio?

Why are you buying cheap shit made somewhere else with slave labor? WTF is wrong with you (besides the obvious)?

Go shill your DNC mouthpiece somewhere else you 1post faggot.

Why don't they show the full price you'll pay on shelves? Do these people not live in reality? They literally don't show you tax until you're paying.

I ordered all my Chinese shit before this
Feels good to pay attention lol

Retailers are against it because they'd have to show how much they pay for their shit.

price: $200

tariff: $1

if shit comes from China it means they paid <$1 for it

Retard didn’t you MIGA tards voted for trump to make eggs cheap and they went above 8 dollars from 2 dollars.

IMG_1193.png - 1220x1382, 233.66K

cool it with the antisemetism bro.

Only 25%? I doubt it
Plenty of places were selling cheap chines shit at like a 100% markup
And making bank if you were smart and knew it you were cutting out the middle man and buying direct from China

They had 4 years to get it sorted

no, there was no warning not even 1 day

Apologies I thought you were another stupid monkey with profound retardation.

I guess this is the end of America...

walmart.jpg - 660x373, 77.8K

Your retard hero is still riding Israel’s cock monkey have fun bending for Israel.

IMG_1289.png - 2048x1536, 1.98M

30 days out, zero trade deals, deficit up, bonds trading like Argentina doing something retarded, gold spiking, ASEAN, China, and Japan united. The only thing keeping stonks up is copium from dip buying retail investors who are about to become exit liquidity, who thinks that we'll return to April 2nd at a penstroke.

Self inflicting stagflation and dedollarization is so fucking stupid.

Wonder who posts for this nigger?

you are pajeet paid be Elon Musk right

Retailers don't see tariffs. Importers and wholesalers do. Amazon and Walmart and the rest will never show you how much they pay wholesalers for their products.

you can have retailer that is a wholesaler and is the importer
that's the point, modern day retail evolved to be super efficient
you are adding enormous costs

serious question, do you / and or these fucks believe nothing had tariffs on it before Trump assumed office in 2025?

under $800 exemption worked great
and other tariffs were 10 30 % max on select things, mostly industry things, not consumer goods

Tariffs aren't charged to the consumer, though. Taxes are. Companies have the choice to either pass the additional cost on or not as part of the base price. Taxes are not controlled by the company in setting the price, hence why they are shown. If tariff cost is displayed, why not also display the amount of profit the company receives for each purchase along with executive bonus packages?

poor

that's false
you have no idea of the volume that is sold direct by overseas retailers
this is why amazon became the biggest company

No, it's true. You can Google it. There is absolutely nothing about tariffs that force a company/retailer to charge more for a product besides their profit margin.

you are fucking retarded

paid be

You can’t spell so how can you call another person pajeet stupid clown.

Actually, I highly agree. It's a really easy way to tell how much a company is upcharging you.

I want my cheap, toxic, flammable, possibly subject to spontaneously explosion, trash produced from slave labor and gaming international economic policies by China

I don't see what Temu, Aliexpress and drop shipping has to do with this conversation. The majority of American people do not use these services. When you buy something from Amazon, it was already imported and is sitting in an Amazon warehouse ready to be picked. Same with Walmart. I have never bought anything from either of these retailers that drop shipped from Guangzhou.

compete
produce better things

you can't

you have no idea about the demand of the people, you will find out

They should post their profit margin and percentage going to CEO

give it 2 weeks and there will be nothing in stock

Yes!

Put it next to the real cost to make the product and the merchant's profit.

you should post pictures of your butt hole

god i fucking hate leftists and their globalist puppet masters
need them all fucking dead

I think Americans should probably start learning Mandarin and looking at Australian immigration law before we're stuck with American Ladas forever.

Oh like how hospitals pay next to nothing for saline but jack up the price 500% when they charge you for it

can't produce better things

American/European made products typically last 700-1500% as long

I have a U.S. made blender and hand-mixer that are over a half-a-century old at this point and a mattress and box-spring from before the Carter Administration. That's the definition of producing better things. Now kindly fuck off and see if you still have any purchasing power with that .50 RMB you just got deposited.

mandarin is shit language
empty shelves are what ended the Soviet Union
this is very dangerous

you don't understand demand
you are like a Soviet council member that knows best for its people
you don't understand the economy

Publicly traded corporations will never lose a dime if they can pass the cost on to the consumer. In fact, they apply their markups flat so if they currently pay $5 and sell for $20, if they have to start paying $10 they will charge $40. They will never touch their margins. Remember that the founder of Costco had to have a meltdown to defend his $1.50 hotdog loss leader because the (((shareholders))) were demanding even that go up to the maximum price people would pay. When demand goes down due to a jump in prices, the FIRST thing that goes is labor. They don't touch prices until later. And when they do, there's another round of layoffs and selling off assets. Corporations prefer a global depression to reducing profit margins.

empty shelves are what ended the Soviet Union

this kind of retardation is what happens when your understanding of history comes entirely from memes

you will find out nigger lover

Former Trump supporter here.

Last week I got it in my head I needed them Yeezy Season 10 Women’s Slingback Heels in Bone, size 13—don’t ask me why. Just saw ‘em on my cousin’s OnlyFans and said hell, maybe I deserve nice things too.

Found ‘em online through a Korean fashion plug. Total cost after “emergency protection tariffs” and “counterfeit mitigation surcharges”? $1,022.43.

I felt like I’d been mugged by Ronald Reagan’s ghost.

Wasn’t even mad at Kim. I was mad at myself. Sat there in my truck with the heels in my lap, starin’ at my “Trump 2024: Finish the Fight” bumper sticker and whispered:

You were the fight.

thinks "consumerism" and demand are the same thing

thinking that buying the same product over and over again because of shoddy workmanship is better for the consumer

Does Wumao Dang pay you per post or per thread?

Trying to directly put your own taxes on the bills of others isn't legal thankfully.

Brooklyn Dad Defiant

Anyone that cares about this piece of shit needs to be banned from voting

Trump will be furious if they hide his tariffs which he is so proud of and brag about.

Um Europoor we actually have manufacturing here and always have

This based rare flag

For libtards maybe trump has been up front about tariffs since he was in office
The first time let alone the last 4 years

And you have zero knowledge of tariffs.

True. And that's their choice. There is no requirement they pass the cost on to the consumer.

That's fine. Stores also need to show the price of goods plus tax on the label.

Ok Chang go cry about on Reddit

No, I want the pre-sale cost per item and the markup at retail.
Let’s see the margins.

what a delusional talking point
cooking the books is trivial

tax the rich!

NOT LIKE THAT!

heh

It used to cost $0.06 to make the Crayola Spin & Spiral Art Station but now because of Trump's tariffs it costs $0.14 to make the Crayola Spin & Spiral Art Station, so Walmart has to raise the price from $34.88 to $110.88

shitmart will just close the store
FOR LEASE
and you will own nothing

explicitly saying they won't raise prices due to tariffs. how could that be?!

To be fair lectric is such a fucking scam
They are rebranded Tao Tao bikes and already have above a 100% margin

Why are you against transparency, /pol:?

I'm all for it. Just show how much money Walmart, Amazon, Target, et al, are paying for the products that they are reselling and not actually producing.

The reason this doesn't make sense is because the end consumer isn't the one who remits the tariff, the retailer is.
Capital holders should have thought about this before they voted.

Companies raising their prices and calling it tariffs because orange man bad

I don't know who needs to hear this

redditjak2.png - 600x562, 65.05K

tariff is paid by the import receiver
currently that is the consumer in 80% of amazon packages

Do you think all of these amazon customers are still buying despite an 80% markup?

Sorry not 80% markup.

You're right. If more walmarts exist. The more I will own.

no, and nobody will be selling
empty shelves
shortages lead to panic buys, and that leads to more shortages
and then you have riots

Yeah, these fucking retards have no idea what they are asking for. It’ll just show the american consumer how much they have been getting fucked

If you buy amazon garbage straight from china with AliExpress or Temu this is the case, but for AMZN they stick it in a dumbass warehouse first, so they need to pay the tariff.
Also Jeff Bezos tongues my anus.

it is fulfillment by amazon retard
what happens when the warehouse needs to be restocked

wearing a plastic suit to an interview

you weren't going to get it anyway

Every tax statement should have line items showing how much of it is going to
-Israel
-Aid in Africa
-Funding tranny clinics

It’s even more complicated than that if you are buying a name brand product. That brand may import the product directly to their own warehouse, and they may be spreading the tariff burden around between amongst different
products that are more or less impacted depending on their supply chain. They may not be passing the entire tariff burden at all if they are trying to make their competitors raises prices first.
