This is a continuation of yesterday's very productive discussion where we looked beyond the racial aspect of the Shiloh incident and contemplated the bigger picture, which is that people no longer bother upholding social conventions (such as saying the word 'nigger', the worst taboo imaginable in the America that was 'trying to get along'). As a matter of fact, considering Shiloh's donations, people deeply desire to do away with all conventions, like they are sponsoring a rebellion. This is a dire development and if my analysis is true, the Shiloh affair is a mere example of a general deterioration of social cohesion due to the growing oppression demanded by a society that has ever less to offer.
What is also shocking is the reaction of the obnoxious man filming trying to turn it into a lawsuit. He was not even angry, he became completely aghast and even scared. It is is like they never truly experienced real scrutiny of others over their attitudes due to other people's politeness and desire to fit in. Now people are going unleashed, as they have nothing to lose besides what is left of their dignity.
My question to you is what is next? Shiloh will go to court. If she is acquitted (and there is a serious potential for that), this will be rallied as the ultimate sign of racism taking over America. If she is condemned, the people of Rochester show the world that americans would ruin a mother's life and kill a person than inconvenience a rude man who has the right skin tone.
This can't end well. Rodney King's answer is here, we won't get along even if we can.
