i dont have a GPU good enough for AI to generate me one

Everyone here is unemployed, if we had money we would start a global revolution.

i am just waiting to die.

why are (you) still here?

I'm kind of doing it but with an allotment.

Every piece of property for sale within 100 miles of me is either in the millions $$$, is absolute garbage, or has some kind of major hang up that makes it unliveable. I dont have the energy or spirit to gamble on buying cheap property unseen in a flyover state and dropping everything to move there.
Really sucks because I feel trapped- absolutely hate my job/life/people/everything and would love to become a hermit.

freemasonic bid for cheap european diaspora labor, not interested.

Homesteaders would literally not be able to continue their lifestyle without Costco, Amazon or Home Depot which is hilariously ironic due to the whole point of homesteading is to be completely self sustaining.

jews bought all the land and boomers and faggots defend them still

Like what?

The government isn't giving land away so I can't homestead it.

I'm a gamer, not a farmer. I can live in prison just fine as long as I can play vidya.

completely self sustaining

Impossible unless you go pastoralist or hunter/gatherer and are willing to spend 100% of your time crafting and raising.

are you talking from experience or out your ass. i do use amazon to get small engine parts and chain saw chains and thing's like that. i get my animal feed, seeds, and other gardens stuff local though. i always order vinegar from sams because its so cheap and i use so much. i need to learn how to ferment vinegar

I do have 3000 square metres of construction land just outside the city. Looking for a house project at the moment.

Because I'm schizophrenic, and I can't live without meds.

you better not build it out of wood, wood will rot away in just a few years

Homesteaders would literally not be able to continue their lifestyle without Costco, Amazon or Home Depot

Uhh ok

the whole point of homesteading is to be completely self sustaining.

Doesn't seem like it. You sure you haven't just forgotten to take your meds?

There is some wood rotting apocalypse happening in two weeks or what? Haven't heard anything about it!

Considering that to home stead there you would need, and these are rough estimates

100k-200k just for an acre of land.

Roughly 200k maybe 250 for that shack to be built assuming you are doing it yourself

Going to need a truck to haul all that shit so another 70-90k

Solar pannels are going to run you proably another 75k, and another 10k for the battery back up

Those trees are going cost probably 5k

Septic tank is another 30k

Getting a well dug is easy another 80-100k can be more depending on where you are in teh country

the list goes on and on.

And where to work there? The salaries there barely reach the survival level

realistically, going totally off grid is something you do after saving in a decent job, you'd be better in a trade to learn how to build. Get your tools together, do your research and then buy land and go off grid. You need to be good at a lot of things to actually live off grid.

Its mostly the well and a good truck imo. The rest you can get by and improve over years. Doesnt have to be a shack, just a trailer with the bottom insulated for a few years. That doesn't need a lot of solar. Instead of septic you dig a hole, just have to piss somewhere else than where you shit

My ex wife took it and the kids. It's ok they told me they will save daddy a few acres when they legaly inherit it. Stupid bitch thinks she won. Just gotta play the long game now

You don't look for easy ways. Theoretically, it is possible to survive there by renting out a city apartment. Building requires skills

I guess you could do it at any time, I'm probably looking at it in a long term manner with a family.

i built a homestead in the ozarks in 2020 and here is what i paid.

6 acres of land $6k

768sqft house $45k in materials

well $9k

leach field septic $1k

power hookup $450

truck $0 i just used my car

15 fruit trees, 10 grape vines and landscaping $500.

euros always tease us because we build with wood instead of brick that lasts thousands of years with no maintenance

If my wife would move to the US I would move over there. If you actually have a few skills and know how to farm, there is no excuse in the US.

What meds do they give schizophrenic russians?

Land that cheap is often inaccessible from the road, meaning you need all kinds of permissions from surrounding owners just to access your property, to include fees, and there are usually all.kinds of restrictions as to what you can do on the land if it's that cheap. If it looks too good to be true, it often is. Check the legal shit properly before you buy anything.

I did. Doing it all myself cause no chick wants to put in the work. Even the local farm girls want to run to the city for a dumb college degree in basketweaving and pretend they are in an episode of "sex in the city". Pretty rewarding though. Every day the property looks a little better.

I did.
Urban farmer.
Trying to go commercial; get USDA loans / grants, but this place is a slum.

They're just jelly because they deforested their continent. Pay them no mind.

I don't have 2 million dollars in cash

im lazy

i like goyslop

I can’t survive off plants. Vegetables suck and fruits aren’t even healthy for you anyways. I can’t homestead correctly without an absolutely earth shattering dietary shift and lots of work.

I’m just gonna keep living in an apartment until the government tries to kill me.

solar shittles

Every fucking time, man. I have greencuck fatigue.

Becuz im below the line. Gonna wait till I go to north east and drop off home base. I still wanna like meet Americans though. So I gotta get yatcht or something. How I'm gonna get a homestead a helicopter and a yatcht ?

>15 fruit trees, 10 grape vines and landscaping $500

At least make your bs believable.

Tragic.

Building requires skills

Sure... we're all White here, tho. Right???

Meh. I died almost two decades ago, I’m not too fussed about anything anymore.

I saw a single fruit tree for sale at HEB for 99 dollars. I obviously didn't buy it. Typically theyre 30 dollars, which would be... 450. Kek. Not including grape vines.

He ain't lyin'. yids have crushed the economy to such an extent that escaping takes a monumental effort and a few tricks.

ozarks in 2020

6 acres of land $6k

you need to learn how to larp properly
try again

Most jewish post I've seen today. Kek. They'd salivate over this post with dupers delight.

I have...

ozarks in 2020

6 acres of land $6k

lol wut?

i bought 2-3ft bare root trees for $14 each, the grape vines were 2 for $5. i got them here, tytyga.com. i highly recommend them, their trees have gone up a little though.

ball buster is, that it was probably 99 bucks for a sapling, if you are lucky, and then you gotta take care of that bitch for like another 7-9 years before it actually starts to bare fruit.
thats why i said, 5k for fruit trees that are mature and producing fruit not for just 1 but for several.

Because I'm not a youtuber and I don't want to starve to death.

i raise pigs and chickens for food, i need to get some rabbits so i can raise them to feed my cats

What about remote jobs and moving for groceries once a month?

I can do all that without LARPing as a homesteader. I have a greenhouse and a garden. I buy 99% of my food at Lidl or Rimi.

I doubt that anyone who has anything remote would live in a post-soviet shithole

Its a very expensive hobby

You don't know what is real, what is not.

not really. it takes some initial investment but if done right you can make it on almost nothing once you get going. my bills are $100 for power, $50 phone $30 cat food, $50 weed. i invested around $70k and could easily sell my place for twice that

This. Its basically a larp unless they are willing to go full amish.

im hatching out my own chicks to butcher

Chicks fed with industrially made corn. I wouldnt call you self sufficient. If things fall apart you will be just as hungry as the rest of us.

Too late.
All good and affordable land was all gobbled up after the Great Covid Money Printing scheme in 2020.

they get corn just as chicks, in a month they will be free ranging eating ticks and clover with the rest of my chickens. i am growing a 20'x20' patch of wheat this year to make my own flour. to many bug issues with corn

Stuck in the fucking city with these fucking jobs and houses that I don't fucking want. Plus, my boss is constantly late on paying me. Fuck all of it. I want to get off this fucking carnival ride.

i cant even change tires

point of homesteading is to be completely self sustaining.

LMAO homesteading is white flight 2.0 now that the burbs have fallen.

That's kind of true. It's not even to get away from blacks and mexicans, but to get the fuck away from anyone of any race exhibiting any type of nigger behavior.

Nice chickens.

Yup. Worst neighbors I've ever had were white. Being white isn't enough anymore. Got to get out of the burbs sometime soon. I've got a mini oasis here that I make a couple grand selling produce from a burb lot so I'd like to see if I can do it on a larger scale.

That is all I want. A nice homestead, a friendly cat and a few crops to feed the family.

any race exhibiting any type of nigger behavior

lots and lots of the most worthless white trash you will ever see in the ozarks. absolutely horrible people, way way worse than ghetto niggers.

What's the overall cost?

I fucking hate plants

A couple grand a year, or per month? What do you sell?

Ironic.

that's an awful lot of pumpkins.

if you know how to build things, do plumbing and electrical and have the tools you need you could get a decent setup for $100k. if you dont have any of the skills or tools it will be $300-400k

And wildly unrealistic. You can get a few, maybe 5, pumpkins out of a very large pile of horse shit.

Lol retarded organic nigger never learnt how to Hydro.
