This was the most serious escalation done by India and multiple reports confirm that this is the place where Pakistan's Nuclear Command Authority (NCA) HQ is located. The Pakistanis believed that the Indians were trying to incapacitate their nuclear command to disable their nukes. This must've upped the escalation ladder and caused the US to intervene.
Pic 5 — Rahim Yar Khan Air Base
A ground storage facility was hit and the runway was disabled. Videos have emerged of locals at the runway showing a large crater created by BrahMos missiles.
