What made this place influence the wider internet was the very rare threads which you'd see some very clever individuals just go to work on something. Like on Anon Babble I remember seeing someone using beauty spots to prove that the porn pics of some girl getting fucked was in fact her and her step dad (from other photos).

We had people in /sg/ tracking down the ISIS training camp from just the propaganda video. The autists that found Shia LeBouf's flag out in the middle of nowhere from looking at the sky. There were also some rare threads during the Trump era were people were false flagging as the Hillary campaign. I still have the audio clips of trolls doing that from those threads.

But things like this are like 0.001% of the total posts. The "weaponised autism" has been diluted by the sheer amount of normalfags and literal NPCs who've wandered in here and who add to the noise.
