No we hate their rice and it is objectively worse. I doubt these will sell.

The problem is the JA mafia runs the entire agricultural operation in Japan and they have been extorting the people and the government for subsidies, then continue to jack up the rice price. The powerful rice farmer lobby is behind this because it at least makes rice farming profitable, encouraging more domestic farming which is long term good to prevent food shortages.

But they shouldn’t be exporting for profit the cunts. And their goddam cousin in the diet shouldn’t be voting them billions to lower prices, just so the JA mafia can raise the, again next week.

Luckily I grow my own rice so I don’t deal with this bullshit, but rice prices have tripled or more since Covid and it’s complete bullshit.

Here's what I do:

cook white rice (a little on the soft side)

throw rice in a fry pan with ketchup, a dash of onions sauce, a couple dashes of mirin (sugary/sweet rice wine)

mix in chopped up meat (bacon, etc.)

throw on plate, cover with omelette

squirt more ketchup on top

Make a lot of rice and put it in the freezer for later. Then you just have to make omelettes and microwave the rice next time.
