If the Baltic states are all in NATO, and if NATO has an Article V provision which mandates that all signatories view an attack on one as if it were an attack on them, following the provisions of that treaty isn't "starting WW3." The nation which attacks them and triggers Article V is the one starting WW3 because they are the ones going out of their way to create a war that wouldn't otherwise happen. I feel like many people have a literally insane understanding of really basic principles of causality, as if attacking and defending are completely interchangeable and to be treated as such.

Poland has no chance for developing its nuclear arsenal. It does not have a rocket/missile technology. The biggest "achievement" in this field was building a sounding rocket "ILR-33 Bursztyn" that reminds rockets built by amateurs and students in the US. Americans want to have 100% influence over Polish civilian nuclear program that would probably never come true as Americans are going to use it as a bargain chip in talks with Germany and Russia. Poland is "building" nuclear power plants since 1980 and not even one was ever built because empires agree that building nuclear reactors on potential conventional battlefield is a bad idea.
