I always advocate for making a new one based on the Meiji constitution. Modifying the current one justifies it so I'm STRONGLY against it. In fact, I'm happy that the LDP failed to get it done. Merely changing article 9 allows ZOG to use Japanese soldiers as sacrificial pawns, and it's pretty much the ONLY thing the Americans regret about writing it, which is why it's the ONLY thing the LDP wants to change (leaving alone the lack of the Emperor explicitly stated as being the head of state, stating that the Japanese language is the official language, banning discrimination by race, allowing marriages without parent's conseng, etc...) Americans DON'T regret anything else.
btw, I think Japan's proposal against racial discrimination in the league of nations (which rightoids get all proud about) was a mistake. We should racially discriminate against races that discriminate against us.
