I went to a dentist months ago to pull an infected wisdom tooth, easiest thing there is to do. Dentist office was a cabal of ugly post-wall woman and a tranny. They do an x-ray, then tell me they "can't" pull the tooth, they gave a stupid excuse. I get my teeth cleaned and left disappointed. Go to another dentist the next week, just one guy with a hot female assistant. I'm expecting the same bullshit or a delay tactic. He sits me down and tells me the previous female dentist fucked up my x-ray, so I have to do it again, then tells me he will pull the tooth right after. In and out in 30 minutes with what I wanted. Never trust a femoid.

They can make tons of money doing minimal amount of shit. If they have two or more hygienists, that says it all. They want to x ray and clean, nothing more. They want to charge you insurance payments on nothing, they want to max you quickly.
I went to a dentist for a filling on a cavity that was bothering me and he refused to fill it without taking a full x ray of all my teeth, setting up a hygienist plan, and getting my wisdom teeth pulled (a referral to a “good dr”) before they would even consider filling the cavity. I protested and asked them to explain and they basically said they just won’t fill it until all the other things are complete first.
So these fuckers wanted me to do 2 deep cleanings, get two wisdoms popped for no reason, and see the hygienists two more times before the cavity could be filled(Pajeet dr, hag staff).

Then I went to some shitty looking practice and one guy and his assistant that also did scheduling. They filled my cavity the same week i went in.
Moral of the story we gotta shop around for dentists/doctors now, everyone is at work for a paycheck these days which is understandable but some of these fuck faces take it way to far

I install CT machines and other scanners at major hospitals. I spoke with site manager about a very expensive scanner we installed that can take the images required in 7 seconds. He told me they actually leave the patient in the tunnel of the scanner for 13 minutes so the patient feels like they got their moneys worth lmao

PT shielding is actually a pretty outdated practice now and usually causes a higher exposure due to more remnant beam scatter. Technologist shielding is because they're doing that ALL DAY every day and that CAN add up. Even then distance is far more effective at reducing occupational dose from scatter far more than a little .5mm of lead apron. You're getting one xray with a cleaning when they're getting compton scatter from potentially 100+ exposures daily.

Modern CTs are doing ~256ish+ (some are above 600 slices now) slices per rotation and YES that does make a skull CT take a few seconds, but a lot of the time is prepping the protocol, scout images for centering, making sure your ass it not all sorts of rotated and tilted, processing the scan, sending it to PACS, and gantry movement speeds to prevent under/oversampling. CTs are donuts not TUNNELS a tunnel is an MRI and they take MUCH longer. MRIs are nonionizing and CTs are ionizing, so running a CT for 13 minutes would be unethical as FUCK and a MASSIVE breach of ALARA.

The truth is that these places are harm central. This is not where you go to have bad things fixed this is where you go to have them happen. Hospitals in particular are extremely dangerous places. Dentist bro, my teeth are pretty fucked. At least 3 or 4 black cavities with holes I can feel with my fingernail. Some of my front teeth can wiggle. Temperature sensitivity on all of them, and I’ve brushed my teeth probably 100 times in the last 6 years. Last time was 5 months ago. Majorly receded gums, calcification and occasional swelling which always goes away. And they fucking stink too. Very rarely I’ll have a toothache which goes away as quickly as it comes.
