Damn that's some crazy shit huh

inb4

unwilling to move from PNW or WFH environment

unwilling to accept anything other than what his last job paid

using apply quick stupid BS link on indeed

has some BS record

I work in tech and people who lost their jobs to AI were dead weight to begin with. Many were actual retards who could never finish a project right regardless how much help they got because they were a dime a dozen college grad who would rather ask "why do we need to do this...." rather than shutting up and doing it. Why doesn't he just learn AI programming because that is in demand

his financially retarded, i bet he's covid-hire

nah just incompetent
ai just makes your code editor work better.
at $150k you're a very overpaid apprentice who doesn't even use AI to code faster. clearly a complete waste of $150k in the current year.

I work in tech and people who lost their jobs to AI were dead weight to begin with

It's the opposite, that AI is becoming a legitimate tool that turns any script kiddie into a vibe coder, and thus is considered an industry standard. If you don't use AI, your work will be trained on and you'll be laid off before you even know it.

T. Software dev

You know how much I fucking wish I lived in a trailer
This spoiled faggot

the time normies get 6 digit figure job they instantly debtmaxx and live above their means as if they just can't ever get fired

Looks like a nice trailer, at least.

Nah AI is dumb as shit half the time, if you don't understand the code it's spitting out to audit, secure it, and take out shit that is unneeded; you're asking for a really bad time during any security review.

AI is good for the redundant tasks you would do on projects but it is DOGSHIT when it comes to doing anything specialized. Enjoy being a "software dev" aka Wordpress engineer anon.

This is true for everyone talking about no jobs, it's always someone who refuses to move or to work at mcdonalds. If it's beneath you then you would have a better job already.

You have no idea what you're talking about. You're babbling nonsense that doesn't correlate with reality. We push for AI for the same reasons why we push for Indian immigrants, it's cheaper and considered effective by executives who've never written a line of you.

*written a line of code
Lol

I’ve gotten nearly 4000 jeets stripped of sponsorship here in the past five years.

actual retards who could never finish a project right regardless how much help they got because they were a dime a dozen college grad who would rather ask "why do we need to do this...." rather than shutting up and doing it

Well of course I know him. He’s me.
Ah well, I landed an easy government job so now you’re funding my pension, boy.

Unless your coding for very basic shit you've objectively never seen AI outside of heavily modified proof of concepts that had a HUGE amount of work done before hand to ensure it AI can be just as good. If you look at the programming work AI does it's trained from other shit often only very good and the mundane work but to customize, secure, deploy, and maintain you're going to still need that done by a person. You should learn AI programming as well as your normal job but not give up on programing.

This is the same shit as

Virtualization will KILL the server market and desktops with VDI/Virtual servers

The "smart" switches will make CCNP's useless

The internet will replace printers

Sure AI will take jobs, no doubt, so expand your knowledge and skillset to avoid being made redundant.

You've never seen an IDE in your fucking life

Uses IDE

kys pajeet

At the very least they're going to need people who understand code to unfuck the AI when it gets stuck. AI by itself will just go on joy rides with no accountability or intentionality. For all you know it could be stuck importing python packages in a circular dependency infinite loop for hours (it still literally does this all the time if you don't correct it). If the CEOs fire everybody who knows code they are not going to sit there themselves telling the AI to "make the code work" and to "fix this"

Network optimization is fully AI powered. No longer there is a need for an engineer to look at metrics and change network routing and configuration. Trained AI self configure and self route for optimal performace.

t. ex-cloudflare

damn that's some crazy shit

That some company paid that retard $150 K a year at one point ?? Yeah that's crazy .!!

That he is too stupid to pivot to being a "Project Manager" and then get A.I. to write the script and he just paste it together , de bug it, smooth over any rough patches and then tests it and submit the finished work for more money then he was earning .??

Yeah that is wild !!!
Mac Book ....

>He looks amazingly like the A.I. from the other thread too

heheh lets make something that will put people out of work

wind up the first victims

reminds me of that time a guy made a brass bull and got thrown in it.

printer here
yeah everyone just looks at instagram on their phone, no clue what you mean by that.

Now he can be a loser for the rest of his life and say "I had a good job once, but I lost it"

Exactly, it will still kill some jobs but if you're specialized you shouldn't have as much to worry about. If you are worried then start picking up AI as a side gig. Besides the SMB market would rather hire a real person than "that damn computer".
I'll tell that to my Network team who still have to deal with BS site-to-site VPN issues with ISP's, doing security audits for 1/2 the price of an AI solution, dealing with HW/SW refreshes, and training staff on new security measures.

lol

Tons of articles around the 90's-00's of how the internet would eliminate printers, paper needs, and snail mail because everything would be email. Yet to see companies in Healthcare, Banking, government, education, etc to go full paperless internally let alone externally.

just get a new education

Ok but where is the AI powered carpenter??

so what happens to all these coders and engineers lose their jobs to AI?
Anger, hatred and a desire for vengeance can be as big of a motivation as any dollar amount.
You know what they say about "Idle hands"

his own fault for refusing to learn to prompt

I get it, you're not actually in tech and you're willing to spin as many stories as you can to seem like you do. But AI is already widely used in STEM.

What? Cmake got you fucked up? Take your woes else where.

kek

he's probably just mentally ill

Sorry but you scream hobby/inde coder or very low level app support developer.

AI is fine for small projects and tool creation, sure I use AI to spit out some dumbshit at work I am too lazy to make when my Systems team or Network team need an app but I am busy. However, if you are making something for distribution to clients, public facing software, or have standards such as HIPAA to align with; AI code is going to be hacked pretty damn fast if you don't understand how to secure it. To secure code you need to understand the code, something a script kiddie would not know. Same as patching vulnerabilities, I doubt a script kiddie would know how to patch code that was spit out from AI.

Ok but where is the AI powered carpenter??

Last summer I thought of that -- Passing a home construction sight and was shocked by the amount of waste wood they had created .
Thought that a great use for A.I. would be , take a picture and then ask A.I. what I could build with that amount and size ( 2/4 --2/8 8 foot length ) -- like face recognition but with wood peices..
Then A.I. would go through every wood working magazine or wood working book and give me a number of designs to choose from.
And If I liked any of them I could jump in the dumpster and take the wood home

am too lazy to make when my Systems team or Network team need an app but I am busy.

I make others do work

No, it's more likely that you're living out a fantasy on Anon Babble. If I had bite, you can use a trusted framework with years of human support while vibe coding new features into it.

HIPAA

That understand what that implies about your job and your work, right? You aren't a real developer.

*You understand what that implies about your job and your work, right? You aren't a real developer.
Lol still amazed that you have no idea what you're telling me.

He worked for this. He was making ai algorithms.

Lets hope that the advancement of AI continues to replace everyone's coding job.

Where did all the 150k/year go?

Sure anon enjoy getting replaced, don't listen to me. Lemme know when your shit gets hacked 2 ways to Tuesday because your code from AI was sending all traffic unencrypted, using default logins, and had everything top to bottom stored as plain text.

make $150k/year

the second he loses the job he's in a trailer doing uberjeets

What the fuck? lmao
where'd all his money go

sec.png - 650x640, 52.38K

You talk to much for someone who should know that AI is familiar with LTS frameworks and can vibe code features in using secure methods and functions. If you had actually worked with medical info, in that way you specified, we wouldnt be having this back and forth over what AI can do and how STEM actually works in the industry. You're not using any nomenclature that a real developer would use. Anyways, script kiddies, like you, depend on AI to vibe.

Lol bye!

get 150k per year job

instead of building an early retirement, just rent an apartment 10 times more expensive

He deserves it. Imagine paying 150k to this faggot just so he can overbid on property prices.

Clin trials programmer too huh bud? You are spot on with hiipa and phi.

He didn't lose his job to AI, he lost his job because he was shit at it. Also let's see his list of priors.

Guy is living the life. I wish I had a trailer and land to live in. If your a single guy, a trailer/doublewide is all you need.

I know right. Guy is lucky he isnt living on the street somewhere. A trailer>homeless.

You talk to much for someone who should know that AI is familiar with LTS frameworks and can vibe code features in using secure methods and functions

Which goes back to my previous points. You need to be able to audit the code which means understanding the code to validate that it's actually secured and functional... A script kiddie isn't going to know or care about that shit. Reading really isn't your strong suite huh?

If you had actually worked with medical info, in that way you specified, we wouldnt be having this back and forth over what AI can do and how STEM actually works in the industry.

Yes it CAN do it, however it still needs to be reviewed and audited regularly. So a knowledgeable programmer is actually required to understand that code and validate it. Be that a security firm that has a real flesh and bone person doing it or internal staff...

Again, going back to prior points. I never said AI won't be effective in the field however it's going to replace the redundant jobs and work of a team. Your examples and rebuttles are that of the boomer IT head going "YUP SAW SOME VIDEO ONLINE ABOUT HOW AI BUILT A GAME!" not realizing the entirety of what went on to get there, what still needs to be done to have it be a production solution, and what it needs for review of bugfixing, patching of security measures, and so on. This is why I call you a weekend coder/inde dev at best because you're not grasping the business responsibilities of a product and judging things off AI PoC or small projects that are built essentially from a large library of templates.

white mans fate
fuck off shill

talks too much

LTS frameworks tend to have almost everything done for you, out of the box. R even has frameworks, which you should know because any company would use them for HIPAA compliance! You're trying to sell me on the idea that a statistician, a programmer, and a developer are the same thing! If you work in R, you have so much less to worry about than anyone producing actual software, web apps.

Byyyye lol

lol door dash isn't pulling 40k let alone 150k i doubt he refused. places like wallmart and mcdonalds wont hire whites now. they only want young foreigners. something fishy going on here.

Lucky fuck has a trailer? If I tried that in my area of Caliwali, the county would find out in 1.3 seconds and shut you down. You can live on the street, but not on your own property. Shit is insane here.

CEO of company

Replaced by AI

What?

Shawn K (his full legal last name is one letter)

Tell us about all your ragrets Shawn.

coding tasks

the maker of this claim isn't a programmer and shouldn't be taken seriously
do you want chatgpt vibecoding your airplane?

Get out of California and it will solve 90 percent of your problems. You can live this lifestyle in Illinois or Kentucky no problem.

His full legal last name is one letter

sounds like a tranny

Can't. Boomer parents brains are failing and I need to be around here to help and make sure they don't get scammed out of my possible inheritance.

Ok then stick around for your inheritance but gtfo California before it becomes a CCP stronghold for chi coms.

bruh there are so many jobs to do that don't need AI. just pansies that don't want to learn anything new / make less money

That's the plan.

We're being replaced by jeets.
Every political leader is 100% on board with it.
It's all rigged against us.

It will never stop until we violently rebel.

No stay in cali don't spread your retarded idea elsewhere, even if you think you're one of the good ones.

That links to another link:

The Five Punishments (Chinese: 五刑; pinyin: wǔ xíng; Cantonese Yale: ńgh yìhng) was the collective name for a series of physical penalties meted out by the legal system of pre-modern dynastic China.[1] Over time, the nature of the Five Punishments varied. Before the Western Han dynasty Emperor Han Wendi (r.180–157 BC),[clarification needed] the punishments involved tattooing, cutting off the nose, amputation of one or both feet, castration, and death.[2][3] Following the Sui and Tang dynasties (581–907 AD), these were changed to penal servitude, banishment, death, or corporal punishment in the form of whipping with bamboo strips or flogging with a stick. Although the Five Punishments were an important part of Dynastic China's penal system, they were not the only methods of punishment used.

Fuck off. I've been all over the Western States, and I'm more "conservative" then most you softies. I've LIVED behind enemy lines for 40 years.

He could have saved some of that $150,000 and bought a house. I know a guy that had a programming job at Ford, and he just got laid off due to AI. His wife works, so he'll be OK.

Why jeets though? Because it’s the ultimate insult?

I don't know what's the usual salary for software engineers, but doesn't 150k $ seem kinda high?

Considering what else he had to do, 125k as programmer and 25k additional as CEO, it makes sense.

"Replaced by AI" is the current propaganda talking point to conceal the unceasing hiring of H1Bs and other imported labor. Tech companies haven't slowed their foreign hiring one bit. AI is just the newest scapegoat. Anybody who knows how to program knows that even an average coder can't build shit just because he has AI.
