What was Star Wars like back then growing up? Before the wokeness of Disney?
If you actually lived in that Universe would you join the Empire or Rebel alliance?
Also happy birthday to George Lucas, 81 years old today.

They used to have a 1 nigger per trilogy rule
It was a fun escape for nerds. Now its ultra faggy and retarded
The saber duels were tons of fun to watch back then for the 1st time (zillennial here, so yes I'm talking about the prequels).
Star Wars was always about the rise and toppling of fascism.
We bitched a lot about George Lucas being a bad writer, and the plot being a hodgepodge clusterfuck of poorly executed ideas. Little did we know how much Disney could fuck it up even worse.
Star Wars was always about the rise and toppling of fascism.
One of the parts of the Clone Trilogy I really appreciated is how all the "good guys" are gigantic hypocrites that caused all their own problems.
Jedi
ineffectual retards that LARP as pacifists despite instantly signing up to command an army of 13 year old clones to die fighting killbots
Obi Wan Kenobi
gigantic fucking hypocrite that swings between saying "this weapon is your life" and "so uncivilized" after tossing a blaster that saved his life
Padme Amidala
claims to be a pacifist but ousts the incumbent Chancellor for not pursuing a military response to the Trade Federation
Mace Windu
refuses to trust or promote Anakin to any position higher than Knight despite assigning him critical tasks that no other Jedi is expected to do: simultaneously guard and spy on the Chancellor
Anakin
constantly being gaslighted by aforementioned hypocrites, told he has to give up everything he cares about by people who refuse to compromise their principles, and completely neglected by his own superiors who treat him like their whipping boy
Tbh Star Wars was always kinda gay, most of the expanded lore from day one is retarded nonsense and the woke bullshit had always been present in small doses. That said the original trilogy is still iconic, the prequels and its spinoffs had its good moments and despite all that it had a soul even in the worst of movies. George had a vision with the prequel trilogy, technology just wasn’t good enough to realize it fully.
New Star Wars had no point to it at all. There’s no Sovl in anything Disney has produced, even among stuff like the Mandaloreon or Andor or Rogue One it’s all slop, B side stories that add very little to the world building (only remembered fondly by normies because of a handful of cool action scenes and set-pieces). The Sequels are a clusterfuck mismanaged trainwreck, directed by people who don’t get Star Wars and are obsessed with subverting expectations (poorly) to “shock audiences” who do not give a shit about your politics and preachiness, and just want to see a fun action movie with a coherent plot.
seriously
return of the jedi is now like some shakespearean masterpiece compared to the shit now
checked for Satan
It was just an action movie. Trekkies were the real nerds while Star Wars was for dorks. Real men watched action movies like Van Damne and Stallone and Norris.
As for who “id join” it depends. The Empire is objectively an oppressive force in the classic sense, one that skins taxes from the outer rim for no gain (the same thing that lead to the Clone Wars happening), while the Rebellion is split between people who want a decentralized system of government to (((bankers))) and (((federalists))) who want the core worlds to subjugate the outer rim again. Gee, I wonder what this can be referring to? I’d probably be neutral though slightly pro-rebellion since the Empire is built on lies and deceit and ruled by the in universe equivalent of Luciferians.
It was magical. The nerds hated the prequels but I didn't find them too bad - The lightsabre duels were amazing and granted the dialog was shit but we didn't care too much. Anytime you picked up a stick or bat that felt right you were a Jedi or a Sith and you would duel
Lol if he made it now, the Sand people on Tatooine would have saved the day
Gen X shit.
Us Millennials only really cared about Star Wars as a video game franchise. Most 25-40 year olds probably cared 1000x more about Jedi Academy, Rogue Squadron and KotoR more than any of the films.
I still refuse to watch Rogue One despite hearing good things simply because it retconned Katarn out of existence.
Wan Sandage
Checked for Satan
Ideally, I'd want a cushy job somewhere in the Empire, but I'm terrible at navigating bureaucrazy and office politics. I'd probably end up a Rebel out of disillusionment.
Teemto Pagalese you son of a bitch
In a way it's a good think Disney slop broke what was functionally our canon. Never got to see Kyle Katarn but he's black and gay now, and he only plays second fiddle to some chick.
Fair point.
what did kek mean by those numbers?
anyhow star wars was great. men were men who wanted to bang carrie fisher and also saved her even though she was pretty bad ass. han solo is the cheeky rogue, luke is the nerdy cuck.
empire was a bit dark and mid but the hoth battle was good and sold a lot of toys including the classic at at
jedi was also good. even luke is cool now. the story wrapped up nicely
honestly they could have ended it there
Are you a fucking retarded pedophile tranny. GO WATCH IT FRUITCAKE.
do you think they changed the movie?
Are you retarded?
do you think they changed the movie?
It's funny because Lucas did in fact change the movies with a bunch of gay CGI shit
When i was growing up star wars was kotor and jedi outcast/academy. Star wars 4 5 6 were fine but i didnt really care that much and 1 2 3 were gay. 3 came out halfway through high school so i don't even think i saw it when it was released. 7 8 9 made me really appreciate the prequels. Also I'd join the sith

Old fag here (saw the OT in the cinema, not the special editions either, the 77 release etc)
As a kid, they were great. There was a lot of cheesy imitations (Battle Beyond the Stars) but the quality of Star Wars was head and shoulders above them. We thought the Ewoks were kinda naff, but what the hell, we knew Lucas wanted a Wookie Endor but couldn't find enough 7' tall actors. So they were an event. Queues around the block type of an event, when people just HAD to see movies.
Collected a shit load of stuff which my nephew now has, think I handed him a small fortune, when I "grew out of it".
Was an adult when the prequels came out. Thought they were shitty compared to the OT, watched on release but none of them I ever paid to see more than once, unlike the OT.
By the time Disney acquired it though I'd learned something - Star Wars is Masonic nonsense. Which was a shame to learn, but there you go. The OT is still marvellously entertaining cinema, but it is Masonic nonsense. As are the prequels. And as are Disney's shitty sequels.
If you wanna understand Star Wars, replace Jedi with Jews. The OT is a Jewish revenge fantasy in which the Jews come back. The prequels are the lead up to the Jewish wars kicking off in 66AD (Order 66) massacre and diaspora of the Jews. Anakin is Jesus.
Rogue One is Masada. Just google a pic of Masada and stick it next to Jeddha, the city which gets Death Starred.
you will take kylo katarno and you will like it
Also, very apt digits, given what Star Wars is
It was alright. When I was a kid in the 80s I'd draw star wars characters and all that jazz.
It was awesome. Magic and wholesome. Ruined now but I have lots of good memories. Entire score gives me nostalgia.
It was always woke and progressive, Anon Babble would absolutely cry about the OT today, bar none.
is that mark corrigan
Not exactly. The empire wasnt facist. The star wars empire had the political structure of rome, with the power projection of the British Empire and an aesthetic based on the Nazis (imperial officers. Vader helmet, storm troopers)
The functions of the empire were never shown to be nazi just imperialistic and oppressive.
it's almost like Jews push too much to create their own undoing
There is one (1) good star wars movie.
And it's just called "Star Was", not anything else
4K77?
I got into Star Wars after playing Super Empire Strikes Back on SNES, I was like 7 or 8. Fell in love with it, bought Micro Machines sets and I even used legos to makes ships and stuff. It was great, and even though I liked the Rebels and Luke winning in the end, I thought the Empire and Vader and the Emperor was badass and cool too.
The Star Destroyer was my favorite ship. Until I saw the Executor SSD in Empire.
Star wars has nothing to do with the british empire
Faggy nerd shit
If you think gays need to tone it down a little and abortion should be discouragrd. Then you are the antichrist
The empire was fascist in the way fascism was understood by America and still is: big scary dictator, le political repression, no freedom, big scary army etc. It’s kinda gay, but it’s true and obvious from the designs that they were apeing Hitlers Germany.
The Sith gave me a much stronger impression of being jew-esque
Ideology revolving around greed, hate, and abusing mystical power for malicious ends. The way they try to bend the Force to their will is reminiscent of jews doing all sorts of legal gymnastics to circumvent their own god's laws.
Inability to pull their heads out of their asses gets nearly all of them killed earlier in the Republic's history
Survivors are craftier and go incognito, working to undermine the Republic over generations until they can finally come back out in the open and topple it with the orchestration of a great war
The Jedi and Sith have their own ups and downs.
We
you mean you and alike ilk
og ledditor
twas very cool
way cooler than star treks
but tis gay now
star treks too
recently ive seen babylon V for the first time
much better than star treks
and kinda close to old star wars
no such vidya without those that appreciated it before you spawned as unholy and unclean as you are
go grow your beard longer and act pretentiously, get some extra tattoos as well. faggit.
What was Star Wars like back then growing up?
For 1977: The concept of a force re-imagined magical powers; the light-sabre, weaponry.
The next two were just more of the same, adding ewoks, and Bobba Fett, everything was just filler and padding.
The sequels were too political and offensive to races that looked like Jar Jar, I did not pay much attention to them.
Ben Affleck is the only director capable of saving the franchise for movies. Make Bobba Fett break into a galactic bank and fall in love with some local whore who teaches special ed.
this one is retarded
they spoke like bongs, if it quacks it is a duck
now disney is trying to hide that fact
The Sith idealogy is almost word for word lifted from LeVayen Satanism. It’s a hodgepodge mix of Nietzsche, Rand (a kike) and a little bit of Stirnerian egoism mixed in for good measure. It’s all about glorification of the self and the pursuit of power which is very on brand for Satanists
I was a preteen when the prequels came out and couldn’t judge them properly as kids are easily impressed, but holy crap was the dialogue bad
Despite that, during those years we saw a golden age of vidya gaems, pretty much any piece of software with the name Star Wars on it was almost guaranteed to be good
The Sith gave me a much stronger impression of being jew-esque
Nah
It's a storytelling technique called "Inverted Hermeneutic" that was practically born out of people turning the Bible upside down and was discussed in German Biblical scholarship.
Essentially you take a known tale, you make the good guys bad, the bad guys good and you set it somewhere else to kind of disguise what it is you are doing.
Hollywood is into this in a BIG way.
A HUGE way
You have no idea how MANY inverted hermeneutic movies you've seen
The Freemason Rudyard Kipling popularised the method writing The Man Who Would Be King, which is the Book of Enoch transposed to India. The movie of this came out when Lucas was doing his first movies and thinking about Star Wars. Star Wars takes the two central characters of Enoch and puts them in space.
These are Azazel and Samyaza, who become Han and Luke
Azazel, in the occult, is considered the same figure as Horus (similar mothers, similar fathers, similar attributes). Horus ruled for a MILLENIUM and he had the head of a FALCON
Hmmmmn, wonder who that ship belongs to?
Azazel is also considered identical to the Dajjal of the Quran who had a companion "so hairy one could not tell his front from his back" called Al-Jassassah.
Hmmmmn, wonder who Chewie is meant to be?
So these two fallen angels lead the Jedi (yehudi/Jews) to get their revenge on their Amalek oppressors (basically everyone European who has ever pissed them off - Rome, the Seleucid Empire and Christians)
These are lead by Palpatine (so named to echo the Palatine hill of Rome), but who is also God who creates:
Anakin Skywalker, who is Jesus - miraculous birth, talks to Temple Elders as a kid, storms the Temple as an adult, motivated by love, recognised as being as a good as a rabbi (Jedi Master) but denied the RANK of a rabbi (Jedi Master) by the Sanhedrin Council of the Temple, etc, etc, etc
The first six episodes are the rise of Christ, the scattering of the Jews and revenge
Nope, you're just too dumb to see the obvious
Rogue One is Masada. Just google a pic of Masada and stick it next to Jeddha, the city which gets Death Starred.
Pretty much this
They're based on every Empire that oppressed Jews - Seleucids, Rome, Third Reich and British Empire (briefly) whom they fought for independent Israel.
Mostly Rome though, with a Nazi aesthetic
The Battle of Hoth literally IS the Battle of Beth Zechariah from the Book of Maccabees:
Empire finds where rebels are holed up
Empire rocks up
Empire deploys troops and their feared WAR ELEPHANTS (now with laser firing tusks!)
To show the Rebels the elephants aren't invincible one Rebel leader throws himself underneath one and cuts it's belly open with his sword (lightsaber) causing it to crash to the ground
despite bravely fighting though, the Rebels are driven from the field
Like I said before, Jedi are Jews.
getting butthurt about pronouns
kek
Fuck.
SAAR DO NOT REDEEM THE EMPIRE!
DO NOT REDEEM!!!
NOOOO!!!
The OT were pretty old when I was young and Star Wars was mostly popular from video games in the 90s. The prequels were okay but KOTOR was better.
I didn't like it even back in the 90s
I was taken to see it in 77 as a 6 year old by my parents. I didn't really understand all of what was going on but I thought it was awesome and i REALLY liked Han and Luke. Most everyone was swept up in it and growing up I had a lot of the toys and action figures. Most got destroyed since we played pretty damned hard with our stuff, blowing them up with firecrcackers and cherry bombs in mock battles. It was really awesome and people were genuinely excited for Empire strikes back to come out. Got taken to that as well and i remember my mom taking me(Dad was working) at like 2pm in the middle of the week a few days after opening and there was STILL a line to get to the window to buy tickets. The magic is gone now though. Lucas flubbed it with the prequels being a chaotic cash grab mess and then Disney took it out back and shot it with the sequels. The good memories remain though.
It was kino. Those sorts of stories were not saturated back then. It was something new and fresh. It all seem technologically advanced, so there was this feeling.
Andor isn’t terrible. 30 minutes of muh poor illegals but the Empire is basically globohomo, I’m sure they didn’t intend that .
Anakin is Jesus.
Lucas gives you plenty of parallels to the story of Jesus with Anakin's story, but he also tells you without telling you directly who you're watching via the cinematic technique "mise-en-scene"
Mise-en-scene is when you tell the story via visual clues by framing and including things in the shot that tell you things about the characters in-shot (noir movies classically would put the villains under shadows cast by grilles, to tell you that this person should or will end up behind bars at some point)
Lucas used mise-en-scene to tell you Anakin is Jesus when Anakin/Jesus storms the Temple
Here's the scene
youtube.com
Pause it at 0:26 and look at the screen. Light comes from a door on the light, illuminating a cross on the floor. The top and bottom arms of the cross are occluded by shadow, the left arm is occluded by clone troopers. What remains is a crucifix.
Who is at the centre of the crucifix?
Who do you usually find at the centre of a crucifix.
Lucas is telling you who you are watching, who was also famous for storming a temple (though in his case it was moneylenders and not crappy child actors that bore his wrath)
George Lucas sucks at everything. Those first 3 movies sucked. Jedi Outcast, KOTOR, Rogue One, and Andor are kino.
George was a bad writer, and his own sequel trilogy would've been hot garbage (if more entertaining and original garbage than what the rat shat out.)
Looking back, 90% of what I loved about Star Wars came from the EU. Just a hodgepodge of sci-fi nerds trying to make a cohesive universe out of George's bullshit. I still play modded EAW every once and again.
