A lot of people talk a tough game but once they are put in an uncomfortable situation or a dangerous one their first reaction is to call the police. It's hypocritical to not like the police yet at the same time live in a society where they do so much to keep you and your loved ones safe. To anyone claiming we don't need police, how would getting rid of law enforcement make the country better off exactly?

I think it depends on whether your cops are properly trained and educated or not. I've seen American cops that are former military and others with college education.
