I don't have any experience with gypsies but my one friend who lives in the UK told me people hate them because they roll into towns in droves and do shady shit like dumb huge piles of junk in peoples' front yards and then try and coax the owners into paying them to pick it up. He said they also do this thing where they'll take over entire apartment buildings and make life as miserable as possible for any non-gypsies who were already living there to try and force them to move out.

I’m south asian, and have an uncle who’s lived in Hungary for like 30+ years. He told me when he was first there (he was 18) he’d be confused as a cigany which made life difficult.
