First and foremost, we have to admit that we do NOT have reliable data on the vaxx outcomes. It either doesn't exist, or it's polluted by financial/political interests, etc. but we just have no conclusive data.
That said: for everyone, taking it was a calculated risk. I refused to take it, and came very close to losing my job.
So why did he take it?
For starters, I think it was honestly disbelief that our system would allow that to happen. I remember some of his earliest streams on this subject, and he mildly chided some in his audience for thinking so.
Second, he was avoiding outside contact a lot - including from his wife at the time, who was top-shelf grade-A Instagram pussy. This might have been Dilbert's biggest Achilles heel.
Third, he wanted to go on vacation (might have been with his wife?) and couldn't travel without getting vaxxed.
He was correct on his bottom line, however: each person has to assess their own risk and reward in relation to taking it. The virus - regardless of origin - was real and was taking lives. If you were 80 years old you might be more inclined to take it. If you were a young athlete you might be less inclined to take it. If you were in your 60s and couldn't resist the allure of top-shelf pussy, you might take it.
None of this is cut and dried.
