The "better" AI gets, the weirder things are going to get. I think at some point they will pull the plug and start again with "dummy" AI that is task oriented and closed to external networks. Trying to model a person is a strange frame of reference to begin with outside the lingustic interface, why not a forge or a 3d printer or even a holographic projector.
