It is not the fire departments job to activate teh siren, it is CEMA's job, it is literally their ONLY job. Their job is to warn citizens of incoming severe weather that is life threatening in nature.

Also if the "button didn't work" then that is ALSO the fault of CEMA, anyone who lives in an area that gets tornadoes knows that the Siren is tested regularly and the agency that tests and maintains that equipment is CEMA.
It's not the Fire Departments job to maintain that equipment or even to activate it, its not the police departments job, its not the mayors job, it is CEMA's job which is a federal government agency that was created specifically for this ONE PURPOSE to activate the sirens and inform US citizens of impending doom so that they can get the fuck out of the way.
