Not being on Reddit has made reading our own posts strangely amusing

It has gotten me to consider perspectives on my political views I would have otherwise probably never considered, or debated in person with other people. It's also interesting to see how people behave behind pseudonymous veneers, when given the opportunity. Not to mention, occasionally, juicy government leaks drop, like the Hunter Biden stuff, which was absolutely hilarious to see and exposed just how depraved the American elite are. Yeah, it can be aggravating times being flooded with obvious rage bait, intel agencies being massive faggots trying to invite and bait users into going full retard. But that's part of the appeal. It's about as close as some people will ever get to passively observing the underbelly of government and political extremism and how the two dance up close without repercussions.

laughter is the most obvious answer, but Anon Babble (and this board in particular, as a spiritual successor to Anon Babble) has to me always been more about the free discussion of uncensored ideas. being anonymous and having minimal moderation allows for socially hazardous and politically incorrect opinions to get a 'fair shake' in arguments without the usual trappings of our self-interest. it also inevitably magnifies the 'forbidden ideas' because this is where people who want to share those ideas congregate. racism, anti-democracy, etc. but theres plenty of variety. its unironically good for the brain to indulge a little in the thought experiments, especially at a young age. the problem is that this place becomes an addiction, because there's nowhere else can we interact this way without consequences

So far I've found three (3) exceedingly rare classic films so far on Anon Babble that I could not find anywhere else. So there's that.
